- Secret Invasion Episode 6 Reaction is here! The series finale delivered some insane action with G'iah finale putting an end to Gravik's plan. Both Gravik and G'iah show us the true power of a Super Skrull in an insane fight scene.
So many powers made an appearance in this episode we had strength from The Hulk and The Abomination, phasing through things which was clearly a nod to Ghost to mention a few and finally Captain Marvel's.
This is definitely a compact finale and the last few episodes felt a bit rushed but at least we had some cool action and performances for the finale. Now we are wondering where this Invasion will lead us to. And when will the skrulls make their next appearance.

I liked the series but the ending i wish was long enough for them to wrap up more stories
Yup! Definitely felt rushed. At least the action was awesome!
Hopefully short finales will not be a trend nor should it be a followed example. I have a feeling that for a significant amount of time that the writing is going to change a lot as new projects and people come along.
We hope this trend starts taking the backseat more and more. Shows like these need more time so they can pace themselves accordingly. This felt like the most rushed show out of all the Disney+ projects.
I'm not trolling anyone, but it's amazing how people complain that long episodes and long seasons of shows have too much filler. Then complain about short seasons and short episodes that get right to the point as being, too short. I liked this series even though it was not nearly perfect. The biggest flaw for me was that the writers completely disregarded the effect of nuclear radiation on human flesh. The humans that were in stasis that the skrulls had imitated, such as Rhodey, should either be showing the effects of radiation such as melting skin and coughing up blood, or they should already be dead. Even G'iah had the sense to pretend to be dying from the radiation when she imitated (spoiler).
I don't agree with people who say that they should have shown Gravik becoming unhinged from the beginning. Gravik was always showing that he was unhinged. Remember that Skrulls were imitating and killing folks from the beginning on Gravik's command. And Gravik killed Maria Hill in cold blood in episode 1. So, he was always showing that he was unhinged. He became even more unhinged once he realized that his own team was against him enough to attempt a coup, or mutiny. Overall, this show was pretty good.
man...Gravick was intense on his performance!! I liked the episode, great tone, great action. I just wished it hit that hr cap like you guys said in the beginning. And Denise you nailed it on the head with the MCU problem. Nothing is weaving it together, hopefully it will get tied soon. Also that fight might be the closest thing we get to a live action DBZ lol.
I don't know how true this is (grain of salt and all that) but for a while I've seen people say Chapek had a rep for penny pinching, (could influence most MCU shows having short seasons and short eps), and for emphasizing quantity over quality (more shows, rushed production, less rewrites, etc. COVID obviously had an impact too). Once Iger came back, he said he wanted to focus quality over quantity, and was starting to push projects back & spreading them out; obviously the SAG & writer strikes will push all projects back even more.
This show went so hard maybe the episode couldve been a little longer but at the same time they don’t that decision and I think gravik’s death fits him as he killed people unceremoniously and they never got a chance to fight back and the scene was always just that him killing them so his death gets treated the same cuz he was stupid and in over his head, not perfect but still great
Really enjoyed this episode. Our main complaint and I guess many people will say the same thing is that this show as a whole could've taken its time more with certain moments. But overall it was fun!

14:38 G'iah might have been playing it up to get Gravik to drop his defenses. They didn't do a good job of showing us where exactly in the compound they're located, but they're pretty close, yeah? Earlier episodes showing where they are now, where everyone was sleeping and the room with the Super Skrull device seem to be relatively close to one another.
Whatever the case, I think it all comes down to G'iah playing things up, which I think she absolutely had to, as earlier episodes explained the importance of staying in a shell for a long enough time to be convincing. If Fury was suffering from radiation poisoning and seeming slipping away, you wouldn't necessarily be looking for any telltale signs to tell you otherwise. Had G'iah played it off like Fury was fine, Gravik very likely would have known something was up.
15:24 Hold up! That's not Fury's fault. She made a choice to be Priscilla. Fury was clearly smitten with her when she introduced Gravik to him in 1998. Fury knew who she was before Priscilla and she clearly liked living as Priscilla. Varra and Priscilla have something like a symbiotic relationship between them even though the real Priscilla is gone. Varra continues Priscilla's work and her life, and she loves it so much that she wants to stay on Earth.
17:11 I guess we know why Ross becomes President now! Would Ross be any better though? A President with superpowers is an interesting idea, but if he's a Hulk and the guy we know him to be, that doesn't sound like a very good idea at all.
17:48 This is bad, sure, but the problem is POTUS. How's Fury supposed to stop that? Besides, you're about to see why he's leaving. This series is supposed to lead into the Marvels, and since we haven't seen much connection, they need to find some way to do it. 18:21 and there you have it! But the trailers we saw for the Marvels doesn't look like the Kree are open to peace talks. We have an accuser starting trouble, but maybe she doesn't speak for all Kree.
18:58 See, she wants to be here on Earth. She and Priscilla are one. She's kept her promise to Priscilla and now Priscilla gets to live on through Varra. We don't know what kind of doctor Priscilla Davis is, do we? All of the plants she has in her home might suggest botany, but maybe she just likes plants, lol. That plant we saw in the beginning might come back into play and maybe Varra does something with it.
22:00 I liked this episode, but I didn't love it. I'm not a fan of all the powers that came into play, and I'm not a fan of Gravik and G'iah instantly understanding what to do with their new powers. Is that how DNA works? Do we get all the memories too? These powers aren't instinct for many of these heroes but learned techniques that had to be honed, something that took all the folks in the harvest a lot longer than 5 minutes to master. The CGI in this episode is the best we've ever seen on Disney Plus.
I was way off on a lot of stuff. I've got to remember that these shows are much simpler than we'd like them to be and that they are part of a much larger story that doesn't necessarily have an end.
An interesting thing about Sonya is that her grandfather or great-grandfather likely served with Steve Rogers in the First Avengers. JJ Feild played James Montgomery Falsworth and was a Howling Commando. In the comics, James Falsworth is Union Jack. I'm not sure if we'll get in the MCU since James would be dead by now, but I guess we'll have to see. The MCU has been doing its own thing since 2008, and as this series showed us, Super Skrull can have all the powers, lol. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the idea that Super Skrull is the strongest character in the MCU ever.
Denise is 1,000% right. People make up surprise cameos and events in their head and when the shows don't do what people fantasized, people are disappointed and trash the show.
Exactly! Keep expectations realistic. But if a show/movie promises something they should deliver fully on what they promised!

I think the issue is the shows are 6 episodes instead of 4. More or longer episodes would just be a lot more filler, which people would hate. Looking at the show as a whole, it wasn't rushed at all.
I really enjoyed the tone of the whole show but I feel like there had to be some chaos in the writer's (or editor's) room. The dialog was pretty on point, especially Fury and Sonya, but we saw stuff happen and then later events made the previous events almost non-sensical. Just weirdly put together, y'know? I think your rating is a fair one, thanks for the reactions!
I love this show it is my favorite of the MCU shows but I know the length did hurt this show for most people and that saddens me.
I think binge watching could definitely help but it still feels like a rushed 3rd act. It’s not the amount of episodes it’s the runtime they gave us. 35 min per episode during the final 2 is criminal! There was so much nuance to tackle. Overall we enjoyed the show mainly due to the performances. Everybody killed it!

Inside Chernobyl, the radiation is higher in some quarters, and lower, that being said, radiation doesn't kill you instantly. A very high level could kill you within an hour, others, days, weeks, months, and years. It's been 30+ yrs so, it'll take a while, but can kill you. Maybe the skrulls didn't know how it affects humans, that's why G'iah acted as if she was dieing in Fury form. Hopefully they have something in that world that can treat the radiation
Yeah! That’s been my thought. The device she was using indicated high levels of radiation. Yet they never addressed how all of these people survived out of the pods!
@@OfficialMediaKnights no, a very high level would be, close, but far enough away after an atomic bomb was dropped. You would die quickly. If you go to Chernobyl, you can live, you're gonna feel the side affect yrs later, depending on how healthy you're body is. So, you can actually be in that facility for a lil while before you die, months and years inside is pushing it tho

I just don't get how they got Carol's powers from that.....if it was just simple DNA extraction then the Kree would have made 100s of soldiers with her powers in the 1990s since they got access to her for over 6 years and they never seemed to have even tried ? I doubt that and this was too cheap tbh.
That's your only question? I'm still wondering how the hell all the people that were in the pods and got saved by the end survived radiation poisoning...

We know the extremis specifically was highly volatile. They could give us an awesome plot with her trying to figure this out. Do her powers have any side effects? Time will tell!
12:35 Comic book Mantis is underrated, she is ridiculous powerful and one of the best fighters. The Mantis from the video game is close to the comics (every character is, and it’s a great game) and if I remember correctly in that game she defeats Drax on her own while the other Guardians couldn’t and Drax is a beast (not MCU Drax).
For me this show is passable-ok at a low 6/10, the acting was good but I didn’t like the writing of the show because every twist in the show I predict it, a lot of convenient scenes, and it’s rushed. I also didn’t found the cinematography to be on Loki or WV level, etc.
How did Gravik not recognize Giah? They said that they need to stay with the same face to be harder to recognize but Giah couldn’t have been Fury more than a day so there is so many scenes that doesn’t make any sense. Like Gravik dying, he had Extremis so…why and how did he die?
If he is truly dead because they didn’t showed his body after and if he isn’t dead then it’s still horrible written because Giah should have known he was going to heal, especially because she got killed and healed too so🤷🏽♂️
The best aspect of this show for me was Kingsley Ben-Adir, his acting was great and Gravik was dope but of course the MCU needs to most of the time kill the antagonist in the finale of the movie or show.

When you compare other recent superhero tv shows like Invincible, The Boys, and Peacemaker, these D+ shows are laughable.
I’m so scared for Daredevil Born Again because the people that worked on DD made a masterpiece in every filmmaking aspect; writing, acting, cinematography, storytelling, etc, and the MCU quality isn’t even close to that so I am so scared.
They better not screw up DD! I agree with a lot of your points. The cinematography from episode 1-2 was fantastic and then it took a dive from there. Scenes felt rushed and we ended up here. Over all it’s a fun concept that could’ve used more time in the writing room and more run time. A lot of plot holes that are blatantly obvious. Aside from the ones you mentioned how the hell did the humans not get radiation poisoning at the end of the show once they were saved. Etc. Loki is definitely up there. Excited for season 2!
@@OfficialMediaKnightsIt’s not entirely their fault, blame the writer strike Bs that they’ve got to deal with on top of working on these projects they’re passionate about. Of course it’s rushed, again blame writer strikes taking up everyone’s time and yes that includes the actors and crew themselves.
Rhodes was in his hospital gown, Civil War most definitely, which means the fake Skrull Rhodes was the one doing stuff in Infinity War and Endgame. Think about it, G’Ah was a pretty convincing Fury to a point to where we thought it was really him fighting Gravik when it was really her fighting him in Fury’s place.
The writers strike? This show was produced and ready to go way before the writers strike. The only people working on these things this close to release date are the vfx artist and we had little to no problem with the vfx in this show.

@@OfficialMediaKnights But I’m just glad after Loki, Agatha’s Show & Echo that this horrible 6 episode format Will be over with. She-Hulk wasn’t a great show but we see how a story can finish and have room to breathe with more then 6 episodes in the MCU

17:17 This is all Captain Marvels fault! If she keeped her promise and found the skrulls a home, Gravik wouldn't have invaded earth, Sorron, Maria, and Talos would still be alive and none of this would have happened and in the end they all died for nothing!
Definitely a rushed ending, but i think marvel studio think its okay for their TV series finales to be short is cause the story will continue in movie form. i.e. Secret Wars. A trend i personally don't like
It's a good idea to start rating the episodes. Other than that, I have nothing interesting or funny to say about this episode and your reaction.🙁
So let's talk about the scenery. Huggy Wuggy looks so comfortable. It's a small detail, but it really catches the eye. Seriously, the background is so well decorated, with these plants and this warm light, these wicker boxes, this world map and only three very identifiable characters. I'm not writing this to be nice: it makes the videos even more enjoyable to watch, it's the icing on the cake. 😀It's a change from those dirty piles of Funko Pop that haven't even come out of the boxes! Sure, a little Sonya Falsworth figurine would add a nice little raspberry touch, but you don't have room for her anymore, and it would be hard to identify her. I just wanted to say something about Sonya, I guess...

I don't understand how the Super Skrulls were able to duplicate Hulk's powers because Hulk's powers are based on gamma radiation, and it was said that the Skrulls were immune to radiation, so I thought that the Skrulls were not able to replicate Hulk's powers.
Radiation works differently in the MCU apparently...They never explained how all the people in the pods lived after that amount of radiation exposure 😂

Because that's part of the power. Every superhero one the lottery essentially. Bruce DNA was good enough to mix with radiation and not die. Hence why is cousin was able to be a hulk too. Bruce is also immune to radiation

If you liked Lilith's character design and story and really wanted to side with her, you would absolutely love Sarah Kerrigan who becomes the Queen of Blades in Blizzard's StarCraft 2 from 10 years ago because Lilith actually reminds me A LOT of Sarah in so many ways, but I don't want to spoil. That is the game that made me fall in love with Blizzard. It might not be your type of game, but you can just skip the gameplay and watch the cinematics on YT. At least consider watching it on your own. Though a reaction to it would be... well, I'd totally watch it all over again with you!
Marvel has been getting into a terrible trend where the best episodes are the first 2 to release and then the rest of the season is downhill. Worst finale they’ve put out yet… so many corny, poorly written scenes that nowhere near matched the tone they set to begin the series. Utter disappointment 😔 I liked Gravik’s speech though and that G’ia teamed up with Sonia..the rest of the episode could’ve been redone
I loved this series, the writing was great (mostly) and the acting was great. BUUUUT, the fact Emelia's character ends up with alllllll those powers seemed like a cop out/lazy writing.
