Is Jon the oldest member of GCN currently?
Manon has the likeability factor: she's confident, has a good sense of humor, and has a history as a competitive cyclist. The photos of her fractured pelvis made me think of an idea for a GCN segment: How to talk everyday cyclists who won't get back on their bikes after a crash or a road rage incident. I'm a commuter cyclist who has friends who see me riding, then, without my asking, tell me all the reasons why they won't ride their bikes anymore. I sympathize then tell them that I've broken both of my arms cycling but I keep riding because I'm vain and riding helps keep my weight down.
I always find it sad when people get one injury and then never get back on the horse, so to speak. Like that one negative experience has had a permanent negative effect on their life…
Its hard to get back on. Actually got attacked by a guy who got out of his car and yelled about being in the road, then tried to pull me off my bike yesterday. Farm roads and no traffic other than a witness behind us and my gopro.

Pretty easy case for assault there from what you've said.
I got tossed off my bike last summer when the tire got caught on a railway track. A few minutes afterwards when I was done cleaning my injuries, I did an EFT session to clear out the energetic residue from the trauma. The last thing I wanted was to have any aversion to cycling!

Being an American I had no idea that Manon was such an accomplished cyclist beyond just being a great new GCN presenter. Kudos and props for all the effort and wins! Very impressive.

Learning about the "being injured" heartbreak. This is my outlet during recovery, thank you for keeping me from losing my mind sitting on the couch with my leg elevated.
One of those people you just like, she's got something for everybody.

More of these videos please. I already thought Manon was a class act. Now knowing she shares two of my favorite things (Cycling and Cars) makes me appreciate her even more. It was a good idea having the questions on screen but read as well. Nice job GCN! Kudos to Ollie as well.
As a DH mtb racer from the US, that is an injury list like a pro freerider. Manon is beyond impressive. Accomplished, confident, uniquely expressive. Brilliant addition!

Manon is definitely a great new personality for the GCN team. Also, I agree with Susan Whitmer that the theme of recovery from a crash etc. is a good thing to work on. Bike crashes are very common, sadly.

Manon, love, love, love your Welsh accent - on certain words - cycl-in (cycling) or rac-in (racing) haha. Great videos. This one came to me after watching your video on bib shorts. (comfortable). As a male cyclist, I've ridden miles - on trails, on roads, with groups and solo, 7,200 miles so far this year. Over the years (I'm 65), I've had some impacts, a couple with cars, turning left in front of me from opp direction, and this year with other inexperienced cyclists (Covid - get out of the house) on the trail) where they turned in front of me from opp direction. Easy to get discouraged, but the exercise and the mental health of it all, keep me coming back. Keep coming back Manon!
My girlfriend is from the Midlands (I'm from USA), and she watched a bit of your video where you cycled on the vintage Raleigh around Nottingham. "Hmm," I said, listening to your accent, "that doesn't sound like a Midlands accent." "Oh no, she's from Wales", my girlfriend said, almost immediately (having attended university there). And now I know what a Welsh accent sounds like. Keep up the good work on GCN.

This is really cool because you get to know a little more of the presenters outside cycling! Obviously all of them are good at cycling, but knowing that they have a life outside cycling makes it more believable that a normal person could be good at cycling as a weekend warrior! She and the other guy who hosts the how to videos are my favorite presenters! Keep up the great work, GCN!

I highly recommend going to the Tour de France. I went once and it was great. I watched a few stages, rode some famous climbs and ate a lot of French food.

Love the fact that you’re not only into bikes and riding but racing in cars. I read an article not long ago about the connection between cyclists and being a car enthusiast. I have an obsession with speed both on my bike and in my car. Love your energy and enjoy seeing you on GCN.

Manon gives great cycling advice. I liked the videos where she talks about the importance of nutrition. She has an easy, outgoing personality which makes her likeable and makes me want to listen to her content.
