This Toyota RAV4 will be a special car to me, forever. Because, my dad bought it in 2021, months after knowing he has terminal cancer, and his very old Audi TT will no longer be the suitable car for what time he has left. So, he passed away a few months after he bought this car. And the car was left to me. I didn't even have a license, even though I have loved cars for over 20 years, because I live in a part of the world where having a car is totally unnecessary and very expensive. But, because of this RAV4, I can feel and pretend like my dad is still with me, I can still see him, be with him. I even went to all the trouble of learning to drive and got my license for no practical reasons but because of what this car means to me. And also I have to say, this generation of RAV4, it looks so good... RAV4 was a very uncool brand in the past, but this generation? Man, it does look good, it changes everything I didn't even know I like its look and everything it has this much until I saw it and drove it. This car is basically like a normal person's version of the Lamborghini Urus.

Got my 2024 Rav 4 LE about 3 weeks ago. Love it. Its our first Toyota. We had been driving ford vehicles prior. I dont want to talk about it lol. But we love the vehicle. Surprised people say it's "small." We came from a full sized sedan and its a touch bigger than that. The LE comes with freat features in itself. And we got ours in the blackout edition! Which is a plus!!! Getting approx 29-30 mpg combined so far. So doing better than the sedan we had. So far we are really loving our Rav4. Dealer markup wasnt too bad where we reside. About 2k more than msrp. But we also got a rebate. So only 1k markup in the end!!!
I live in a typical 4 season climate and am someone who is always cold. I use the AC when needed, but never at full blast. I’m not worried. Actually, when I first got into the one I test drove, the AC was on and I was freezing. Not a problem for me.
I just ordered my RAV4 XLE gas model with weather package only (I use heated seats a lot in winter), won't have a car with a moon/sun roof (they always will eventually leak and wouldn't use it anyway) and prefer a manual back hatch, faster for me to use and one less motor to go out. Also got mudguards, alloy wheel locks (not much more cost than if I buy 3rd party and they are balanced already), and the all weather liner pkg because I haul a lot of dirty yard stuff throughout the year. Got them to take $1000 off MSRP, and no dealer added extras to hassle about. In Northern California, smaller town. Due to be built next week in Canada, delivery end of May. Compared to other dealers within 100 miles of me, I considered this a good deal (cash sale). Got color I wanted and no other junk installed on it (Ice Cap ext/black cloth int, I hate vinyl/leather seats). Got 2024 to make sure I get an ICE with real knobs on HVAC and start/stop switch that will be turned off every time I start the car. Next RAV4 refresh will most likely be hybrid only and more integration into screen for functions. Coming from 2013 Subaru Outback, which I've loved except for the gutless CVT, but new ones rely on most functions including HVAC being on screen and don't really want another CVT.
I hope 2025 Rav4 will be as spacious as the Honda CRV. Almost bought the Rav4 until I test drove it and found it way too cramped inside. Other than that I really liked it
The new Honda CR-V definitely suits your needs. It's an all round winner in my opinion. It's doubtful this 2024 RAV4 could match with Honda's offerings. I booked mine, waiting for next year's delivery.
Problem with the CRV is it had a tiny turbocharged engine pushing a relatively heavy vehicle. At least for now the rav4’s engine is far more likely to last a very long time. Hopefully they don’t go the turbocharge shortcut route with it in the next gen
This is the best awd suv you can buy for the cash. Resale value the best! Durability. 300k plus easy. 40mpg all day 250 torque 220 horsepower plenty!!!!
I was seriously considering purchasing this but in southern CA an all black interior is just I’ll-advised. I currently have a Prius with a white with black accents interior which has been great in SoCal. May need to switch to something else entirely.
I was adamantly against another vehicle in MA with a black interior. I ordered my vehicle and waited 3 months. Not too bad. The interior is nutmeg seats with a black dash. Grey was also an option. If you buy off the lot, they are usually black. It’s kind of like the Henry Ford joke about having any color car you want as long as it’s black.
I think the new Generation Rav4 has to grow to be more premium this generation like the Venza, and compete against the CX50 , CX5 , CRV and Sante Fe. I think you should bring the new land hopper or mini landcruiser SUV with more rugged offroading model, at entry level price so it does not take away from Rav4 sales. I would like to see the hopper have more plastic cladding for offroading. I still think Rav4 still has to offer adventure at it heart, even if their is change in direction of Rav4.
Toyota Needs to add an option for a power seat fore the PASSENGER seat for the RAV4!! Some people heads hit the pillar when they get in ands out of the vehicle. If the Passenger seat could be lowered then that would be a non-issue.
Will the RAV4 get an natural aspirated V6? I don't think you should have to go to a hybrid or a turbo to get the power you need. Or at least bump up engine size to get the additional 25 to 30 HP.
I love my Toyota Rav4. This is a really good car. But car manufacturers need to do something about the theft as these vehicles are able to be very easily stolen and is a very persistent problem in Canada. The highlander is worse but Rav4 is one of the top 10 stolen vehicles in Canada
It's easy to get a really good ambient lighting in stalled on any vehicle these days. I got a 2019 camry with ambient lighting, kickass upgraded speakers and a 10 inch touch screen with all the greatest features better than Toyota can ever offer. Came out to be under 3k for parts and installation and i even got bright Led fog lights installed.
And the sunroof doesn’t open and there is no spare tire-it’s a run flat tire. It was a toss up for me. I’m glad I made the decision that I did. Give me my RAV any day.
Love my CR-V but hate Honda lost rhe 2.4l engine was a great engine. Toyota 2.5l is a great engine also so i might change to RAV4, but still not 100% convinced yet.

You can’t get one for MSRP. Non-negotiable addons and market adjustment are preventing people from getting car. My local dealers charges at least $2-3k over MSRP with useless addons and fees. Do better Toyota.
Supply issues happened everywhere. The manufacturers were waiting for parts for your car, so you had to wait. It’s not as bad as it was, but with the way things are going internationally, don’t be surprised about supply issues again.
sucks that it didn't get redesign, and have to wait a year or 2 to get one, that's why i prefer the crv, cause it just looks better and has more space and a nicer interior, and you can get one in less then a month in canada
CR-V still have the smaller 9” screen with half digital gauge. No front vent seat and no rear heated seats just like the Civic (same platform). The new 2025 Passport will be the one to get since that’ll have the Accord’s new 12.3 screen.

I only waited 3 months for my 2025 in Massachusetts in the US. If you have to wait 6 months, you might want the 2025, but I’ve heard it’s being redesigned. Redesigned vehicles always have issues the first 2 or 3 years. Besides, I think you want to know what the new ride will look like and that hasn’t been released yet. I haven’t seen it anyway. Love the TV shows produced in NZ and Aus. Superior shows and actors are more real and natural than here in the states where everyone looks artificial.😊
I used to think Rav4 was the best but with the subscription you have to pay for some basic functions on top of the already more expensive price. The Rav4 is no longer worth it vs competitors.

In addition, you have to charge the Prime when the battery is depleted. Second, the size of the RAV4 meets my need and I prefer to stick with the Toyota brand. I have a Lexus NX which does have a turbo but the cargo capacity is much smaller than the RAV4. Do my reasons satisfy your reply? My needs which leads to my reply for Toyota, not yours unless you're the CEO of Toyota.

After having two previous cars stolen, one of which was carjacked, I'm convinced Teslas are the safest option available right now. While Toyota vehicles offer great convenience, my paranoia leads me to prioritize safety. I love the fact that my Tesla acts as its own key, allowing me to check in on my car remotely through its cameras. The plush door handles are just an added bonus. Finally, let's not forget that Tesla's Autopilot is the best in the market, even in its basic form. This feature gives me even more peace of mind on the road. ❤
Why don't you show off how the remote start is garbage? The engine turns off when you unlock or open a door. Other manufacturers don't do this. It won't even open or close the windows.
Only God can help you if you have a problem with your new Toyota. Calling Toyota's help line will do nothing except waste your time. They will pass you around like a hot potato, and then tell you someone will call you back within one day. That call will never come. I was told that SIX times! I always bought GM trucks before, and now I'm sorry I switched.
I’ve come to realize that myself. The way I see it , just do the maintenance that’s required while under warranty , 3 years . And then only the minimum required.. Then bolt out of the Toyota chain and maintain it yourself.

The interior of the Yaris Cross is equally impressive. The seats look comfortable and the dashboard layout is intuitive.

Come on, why would that happen after just 5 years? They are typically 6 year runs, except for 2006 coming earlier than usual.

In addition, you have to charge the Prime when the battery is depleted. Second, the size of the RAV4 meets my need and I prefer to stick with the Toyota brand. I have a Lexus NX which does have a turbo but the cargo capacity is much smaller than the RAV4. Do my reasons satisfy your reply? My needs which leads to my reply for Toyota, not yours unless you're the CEO of Toyota.

While Toyota vehicles offer great convenience, my paranoia leads me to prioritize safety. I love the fact that my Tesla acts as its own key, allowing me to check in on my car remotely through its cameras. The plush door handles are just an added bonus. Finally, let's not forget that Tesla's Autopilot is the best in the market, even in its basic form. This feature gives me even more peace of mind on the road. ❤

Why don't you show off how the remote start is garbage? The engine turns off when you unlock or open a door. Other manufacturers don't do this. It won't even open or close the windows.
Only God can help you if you have a problem with your new Toyota. Calling Toyota's help line will do nothing except waste your time. They will pass you around like a hot potato, and then tell you someone will call you back within one day. That call will never come. I was told that SIX times! I always bought GM trucks before, and now I'm sorry I switched.

The way I see it , just do the maintenance that’s required while under warranty , 3 years . And then only the minimum required..
Then bolt out of the Toyota chain and maintain it yourself.
The RAV4 needs a better console area. There's nowhere to put anything.

Looks exactly the same as previous years, why wasn’t there a refresh of the design like how Honda did for CRV? Strange!
It’s being redone for fall 2024. Only Hybrid engines 2025 model year no more just gas engines.
