For 2024 - Get rid of dealers and allow us to order directly from the Manufacturer!
Dealers are needed for services, parts, etc that manufacturers don't want to get into. They should just stop the dealer markups to make it fair for buyers
@@vh448 The dealers can just become service centers then and drop off/delivery points. I'm sure they'll still get plenty of business.
Because of chip shortages normal msrp price will take few more years to come back down!
If you Drop you dealers much likely your sales will Drop too...
Dealers more expensive then ordering from Toyota.
Dealers are calculating their mark up price on these new Taco as we speak.
If they try to get too greedy, they will be sitting on dealer lots. There are 3 other new mid size trucks available that all offer a lot of new tech. Ranger has a 2.7 V6. I've seen a lot of concern already about only a 4 on the Tacoma.
@@66skate same with the Colorado and frontier there just as good. And are around same price.
Soft skinned people make me laugh.
I bought 60-70 trucks a year from several brands and I never even pay msrp for them.
Have a price in mind and a check in hand and some dealer will take it if its between the invoice and msrp.
@@mattbrew11 what are you even saying ik your a troll I buy my truck for 20$ I simply have to take it and bam new truck
I want it! Probably the most beautiful truck I’ve ever seen
We would love to see you behind the wheel! 😎
@@toyotausa trust me so would I 🫣
Manifesting this truck to be in my garage someday.
Toyota has clearly been working on their mind-reading technology. That's the only way I can explain them releasing a 4-cylinder turbo'd manual transmission SR, my dream truck. Better get those pre-order forms ready.
What’s the benefit of a 4 cylinder turbo injected manual?
@@manthonymontoya Thanks for the question, Marcus! For me, the benefit of a 4-cyl turbo'd manual is this:
I've wanted a Toyota truck because of their reliability and utility, and I love driving stick because of how fun it is, but all the previous manual transmissions were TRD only, meaning I'd have to shell out an extra $7000 for options I didn't want, such as a gas guzzling V6. The new Tacoma SR allows me to save money by getting a manual transmission on the base edition while still making plenty of power with a 4-cyl turbo, which should increase gas mileage by a fair amount, too!
TL;DR: Reliable, fun, and affordable
@@christopherlee5881wow, never considered how much easier 4cyl turbos are on fue l😮
I have 4 toyotas. A 2022 corolla se hatchback, a 21 highlander limited, a 19 Tacoma SR5 and a 18 Camry SE. I've really been wanting a 4 runner to add to my collection, but I might need another Tacoma too. It's going to be hard not buying one off these. I've always loved Tacoma, I always wanted on after seeing the black truck on back to the future. I was excited to see the new generation and this truck far exceeds what I was expecting. Bravo Toyota.
Thanks for always being a Toyota fan, J Kosh! What is it about the 2024 Tacoma that initially caught your eye?
@toyotausa love the way the truck looks. I mean I love my 19 and I'm so happy the 24 still looks like a Tacoma. Even people who don't know cars very well will knows its a Taco. Beside that, you seem to have listened to what Tacoma owners wanted from their next truck. I'm just as excited to see what the 4runner will be like. I'm going to have to get both. Keep building great cars and my house will look like a toyota dealership. My current tacoma is a lower trim level with the 4cyl and I bought it because I planned to pass it down to my son and let him use it for however long he wants to. Toyota was a no Brainerd because I knew that it would last pretty much forever. I've had it for over 4 years now and still love it. My only gripe is that I don't have intermittent wipers, which I think should be standard on all trim levels.
We appreciate your feedback! We're glad you still love everything about your current Tacoma. 🙌 We hope your son will have a great experience with it in the future!
Does the white paint still have that wonderful peeling/flaking that my 2016 does? You know, the one not covered by the white paint recall?????
I can’t wait to drive the new manual transmission! Main reason I got the 23
Wow amazing am still driving my 2006 Tacoma. Without having any major problem. Toyota its the vehicles I have own for many years . Congrats 🍾🎉🎈 to all the engineers!! I may look forward to see the bee models. 👏👏👏👏
I like everything about this redesign except the engine. I think my 6-cylinder Tacoma will hold it's value a little longer
Probably since the car market sucks but this thing is beautiful lol.
the engine can be a good thing, odds are its got a pretty small turbo on it. The low to mid range should be decent with this engine. The 3.5 v6 thats in the current tacoma (i had a 16 trd off road) feels gutless sometimes especially down low. This engine could address that, I just pray it has the D4s fuel injection system
@@nastynatee88 Fingers crossed. I was hoping it would get more HP, but it's the same. Not sure if it will be more MPG. I figure turbos are for small race-cars like Honda builds, so I am skeptical about the turbo in a heavy truck. Despite all the nice changes in the '24, I plan to keep my '20 for awhile. But, then again that's what I said about my '17 Tacoma lol
I have a 2001 4Runner and a 2006 Tacoma... I prefer a V6 in my mid-size trucks.
There is no replacement for displacement. A naturally aspirated rngines is simply more reliable.
@@bajabret60Turbos are for improving efficiency and lower emissions.
Big Diesels have been running turbos for years, I’m surprised how much truck guys are against turbos.
As long as the engine is built for the heat of the reused exhaust, and stress of pulling a load it should be good to go.
With the hybrid should hopefully be a pretty quick and powerful little truck.
TOYOTA, Please build the 2024 Toyota Tacoma X-RUNNER. If you do, I would buy one!!!
Probably the best Automotive enthusiast ad
Glad you like it too! 😎 🙌
I really like the new Tacoma. And I own a 21 Trd OR. But instead of the Limited, I wish you offered a 1794 trim with the Saddle brown leather seats and black or bronze wheels!
A panoramic roof; more HP and less cheap looking plastic on the interior would make this the perfect truck
Can't wait to purchase a 2nd hand unit after 6 years.
I love that stance!
Can't wait for these plus $10k markup and $5000 dealer accessories.
Hey, that's not the Hilux consumers have been begging for.
4th. Can someone share the track width and final drive ratio on the TRD Pro and Trailhunter? How much is the suspension travel? Can these trucks fit 35 inch tires? I'm interested. I'm deciding either to go for the Bronco or the Taco.
145 inches
I don't like how low the front end looks on the TRD Off-road. Love the front end of the Pro and Trail Hunter but those are going to be $$$$$$$$ . Wish the TRD off road front look like those.
I can't wait to get starbucks in this thing
Chevy called they said they want their truck back 😂
Loving those bronze colored wheels.
I like this minus the engine. How am I supposed to work on it myself??? I don’t see something that complicated being more reliable
Missed opportunity for a Tacoma gr xrunner hybrid max.
Keep your trucks on the assembly lines since you can't produce enough😂
1st to comment finally on my dream truck 😊
🥇
@@toyotausa we need a price tag
@@johnhenderson6840 my guess is MSRP for a TRD sport will be 48k, dealers will sell them at 60. Making the pro 55-60k and trail hunter 68k fully spec'd now that no one's buying the Tundra. Once dealers get a hold of the trail hunters I can see them putting them up for 80k all day.
@TastyGrool how is everyone so rich or am I just poor? I just want a nice new 4x4 that's not 50k
@@Wild-Wisdom they're taking out 72 month loans at 6% to have the newest Taco on the block. They're cash poor.

i wish this was available in a RHD version
Get rid of the pro seats and make those an option. We want more back seat room.
I've been waiting for the ford ranger raptor to be available but the new trail hunter has stolen my attention.
If toyota was smart they would allow customers to order exactly what they want instead of what dealers want to order
looks cool. nice they have offer so many configurations
Thanks for the love! ❤️
A great machine. TRD and the TrailHunter must get a front locking differential and a front bumper that accept a winch.
Instead of releasing new vehicles, Toyota should consider a Made in USA Hilux!
Future tacomas that are 4 wheel drive should all have all time 4 wheel drive
Bring this to the UK 🇬🇧 please 🙏
if the new 4 runners is gonna look anything like this it will be worth the wait
Why no V6 as opposed to hybrid option? Is it because of epa mandates? Im not excited about a turbo i4 hybrid. It doesn't scream reliability to me.
It’s the EPA Baal/Molek worshippers.
Wouldn't mind seeing this UTE with the V6 Land Cruiser Diesel in South Africa, Ozzy and NZ. They certainly need it to beat the new V6 Diesel Ford Ranger. Especially with all those ARB/OME accessories already installed
Nope it is only in U.S, Canada, and Mexico. It is bigger than any UTE. Not by much though.
Waiting for the Hilux derivative of this bad boy
The new Tacoma looks much larger than the old one. The Tundra is the larger version of the Tacoma so i’m not sure why they would make the Tacoma larger instead of giving consumers the choice between the smaller Tacoma and the larger Tundra.
I noticed the opposite. It's significantly lower and shorter than the current Tacoma
Thank you for bringing the manual back ❤ I’m pre ordering mine soon
Very impressive
Cant wait to see in the market
18 inch wheels dont scream off roading , 3 inch wider stance without changing the geometry is cheating , rear frame actually lost clearance only to get it back with a bigger tire another papered over flaw , tow hook position are buried on the bottom you will rip off your bumper if you try to recover , try to water ford this hybrid good luck , reliability out the window without a proven drivetrain new engine and turbo with hybrid, no front locker, hybrid is mandatory 2000lb heavier cant opt out, price is probably out of this world then you get hit with a markup and have to wait a year to get it because all the beta male toyota fanboys are all lined up to get one, no thanks you can keep it , for the morons that say Toyota hit it out of the park , what are you smoking its all marketing smoke and mirrors
Why is bigger wheel bad for off-roading?
because your advertising an increase in departure but at the same time the tire size was increased but if you back out that tire increase the truck actually lost clearance as a truck, then the fact they pushed the wheels out without increasing the rods just to say its wider is just cheesy. There is cheesiness going on with this tacoma and thats a Fact
@@chrisx5127 17s are gold standard for 33 tires gives you more room from the rim to the tire , you wouldn't put 20's on an off roader 17s are what you want realisticly toyota going with 18s is a head scratcher
@@chrisx5127Unless you are running 35s or larger, you don’t want 18” wheels. More tire, less damage and better ride offroad.

v6, why not just throw in the v6 turbo. so pretty much it'll have the same motor as the tundra. More power and more torque.
That would make too much sense
Wow this 4th gen Tacoma looks better then the new tundra
This vehicle is coming to the Philippines?
dealer markups are gonna be INSANE 🔥🔥🗣🗣💯💯
take my money!
I will get one (TRD Pro or Trail Hunter) if there's no dealer markups.
It’s literally taking all of its ques from the Bronco. They don’t bother going into a bit more explanation on certain features because they know you have seen them already.
Guess i’ll wait for the markups to go down
So absolutely no fuel savings in the new Taco. V6 Regular burn vs. Turbo 4 premium fuel. It’s all about the money for most.
10:35 That air dam is offensively huge.
sure is, glad they only take 30 seconds to remove.
How come the Tacoma always looks amazing and the Tundra is sooooo ugly. Get the Tacoma guys on the Tundra team!
I really wish they would've stayed away from the trend of turbo charged 4 cylinders and/or hybrid drive. The planned obsolescence they engineer into the turbo/hybrid systems kills durability and true investment value of the vehicle, it's a shame. You're basically trading reliability and long term durability in exchange for additional features and technology.
I really like new model trucks and purchased a 2023 40th runner and love it. But i gotta tell ya the new GMC Canyon looks a little better and a turbo 4 with tons of power is temping -I do not like the fact that the upscale new model Toyota Tacoma you have to get it in Hybrid only ,which you will need a expensive battery replacement in about 12 years- no thanks
Hoping for a 4 door PreRunner, as a homeowner in need light weight Truck to be used as a Family & commuter. off-road not desired.
Please don't tell me they're dropping their v6 like GM did.
Pretty sure they are. Blame leftists in the EPA.
Love it!! Can't wait for next year!!🤗🤗
I'm probably in the minority, but I don't like the new look. I would've taken the 2023 look with the new interior. Still would buy one though.
Toyota, STOP the greedy dealership markups! Let customers order from factory at MSRP and use dealerships for delivery, service. Thanks!
That’s why you go for Tesla
@@puzzleetpuzzles7951 Tesla Cybertruck may never come out.
even when customers order at MSRP, customers will stop want to negotiate $10k under MSRP🤣🤣🤣
XtrCab with no back door, really dissapointing. They wwere really practical, why @Toyota decided to remove them no idea!!
I drove a 2004 Tacoma for 14 years.
I replaced it with a 2019 Tacoma.
This new generation of Tacoma look great. I'm excited for a new power train, suspension, updates, and features.
I'm assuming the Trail Hunter is going to be expensive, so I'd like to see more info and reviews about the TRD Offroad.
The TRD will be expensive too
If you consider how much one usually spends on the suspension and body mod kits, all just to void warranty then beat it up, it’s a reasonable price for a kit which has warranties included
I want limited
@The Defenestrator I have not seen pricing yet, but I suspect you are correct. The Trail Hunter will be reasonably priced for what it has. But I think all vehicles are more expensive than what I'd want to pay for them.
At least with a Toyota, they last a long time.
@@gregd4391 this one hasn’t been proven yet tho
Quit making em in Mexico. Bring em back being built in the USA or lower the price by 10k
That what I'm saying! This practice is disgusting. I expect better from Japanese.
And yet, throughout this entire video, the only thing I really heard, was "4-cylinder"... yeah.. I'll stick with the older gens for now. thanks for your gayness anyhow.
I like this, as it makes me confident the future redesigned 4Runner will be beautiful. Excellent work with the Tacoma design.

Who come to watch here after watching short video girl testing on mountain😂😂😂
Just don't overprice each trim
Dealership markup ❤
Well I've got some bad news for you. They're going to overprice each trim. And then the dealers will mark them up. Especially the first year. You're going to pay and pay and pay and pay if you want one of these trucks.
@@CalvinHikes or goto Utah
They will
It's a home run. Without a doubt, it will remain the midsize truck sales king. Committing to a 2-door working truck variant was smart. Offering the engines both with or without hybridization was also smart. Doubling down on the venerable offroad grades is awesome. 8-speed automatic seems like the perfect number of gears. Given the hybrid, it'll certainly be the most fuel efficient midsize truck, too. The new Tundra already pulls solid numbers, and this of course should pull better.
Please make the TRD Sport/Off Road affordable.. 45k MSRP for a midsize truck/4 cylinder would be too much. Dealers would market it up to 50k+.
I paid that for my new 2020 TRD sport with XP Package in 2019
You know stealerships are going to try to sell around $65-70,000
@@Stinkysock11 and they’ll get it.
This year is looking NOT so good for the car dealerships. The automotive sales bubble created by Covid-19 and chip shortages is bursting as we speak. The industry is looking a big price drops soon. But too bad for folks that purchased a vehicle and want to upgrade to a new vehicle in 2024/25 as many are upside down on their loans. Values on used vehicles are going to bottom out and correct backwards to years past and more.
It’ll get to dealers 2025 and have 10k or more markups
Only 10k for a first year of a new gen. Maybe 20k
everyone on the design team really nailed this. Cant wait to see one and drive one for myself when my 3rd gen wears out (in 20 years!).

I can't imagine they will sell at that price. Nearly 90K for a Tacoma??
We're headed into a massive bust. Dealers won't be charging crazy prices anymore. Be patient.
The real question is will this 4cyl turbo last 300k miles without major problems?
Probably not, engine is too small to handle the wear and tear
@@alexisarredondo5073 TOYOTA HAS BEEN MARKING I4 TRUCKS AROUND THE WORLD FOR YEARS That ARE ULTRA RELIABLE .THESE NEW ENGINES WILL DO THE SAME . 🤦
@@volvoxc9086 wow I really didn’t know that, I hope they are reliable as the 6’s they put out for over 20 years. I really love Toyota and they are probably my favorite car brand when it comes to daily driving/reliability but it seems recently that most car manufactures are on a similar trend and placing smaller engines in their cars. Don’t get me Wrong Toyota is still the top company for me as of reliability but who knows how these will hold up especially if they are used for towing or heavy off roading.

@MY LIFE IS LEGENDARY agree! Toyota had turbos in trucks here in the U.S. back in the 80's. My brother had one.
Real happy how modern this new gen looks compared to 3rd gen. Hopefully 2024 won't have serious issues. Won't know until months/years later, but hopefully they took their time and did their research into building this Tacoma to make it as reliable as the 3rd gen was/is
The main downside is the turbo engines. The v6 is a solid engine and the v4 will wear out and give out faster trying to compensate the lack of power with the turbos. They look sick tho
i'll second that, but will be waiting for the 2nd year.
278 HP from a 4cly engine? Me thinks that is asking a lot. I bought my 2023 4Runner specifically for the 4.0L 6cyl engine. Over a decade in production, Ill stick with a proven performer.
Can you guys please let us buy the trucks directly online and have them delivered to a drop off/service center point they way Tesla does it? The markups are out of control in some areas. I know in some states the dealers lobby for the local govt to keep dealers in place, but for those states that don't, let the customer have more freedom.
What in world do u think or expect something in God blessed freedom capitalist merica
Door dash cars hahahahah dream on fool
I actually enjoy engaging with stealership. I like owning them. I'm Vietnamese so negotiating is in my blood.
Now the creepy stealerships will make it a frustrating nightmare to spend your hard earned money. Why these auto manufacturers don't do away with them is beyond me, Elon did it.
Starting 2025, let us BUY DIRECTLY from the MANUFACTURER (like Tesla), and just have THEM be the SERVICE CENTER and DROP OFF/POINTS (again, like Tesla).
With that, we will get the CORRECT PRICE per vehicle, period.
AWESOME.... I'm super excited about this truck, particularly the 6 Speed Manual. Thank you, Toyota, so much for putting the 6 speed manual in there! I am definitely going to be getting one. You guys should definitely make it easier for customers to special order the manual trucks though.

I do not think I've ever been so excited about a car being released. But the TRD Pro is definitely on my bucketlist now.
Awesome! What is it about the Tacoma that caught your eye?
@@toyotausa Let's see. The re-design is very appealing. And I got to tell you, it looks phenomenal. The way it sits on that suspension just screams off-road but it looks like it would be comfortable on-road and off-road. And the new powerplant backed by the electric engine is a big step up from previous models. I really like non-plug in hybrids. I currently drive a Lexus GS 450h and I feel like a Tacoma would be a more practical replacement where I do not have to sacrifice the engine power. It's just a great vehicle for all occasions in my opinion. I heard about Lexus having the same powerplant but I think I will go with Toyota this time. And I'm sure the interior is great as well.

I remember buying a new 2015 4Runner Trail & 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road new with ease, having a great experience, and without any dealership shenanigans. I can't even be excited about the buying the new 4th Generation Tacoma because since then dealers have become notoriously unpleasant. I'll drive my RX450h until dealer experience makes a 180, if ever. However, this generation does look great. Good job, Toyota! I love it!
Totally agree. Dealers are devils now. Walked into Lexus and no one even came up to see what’s up and if I’m interested in buying.
Stop showing off man! I don't even have a vehicle, not for 2 years. I been waiting for this truck.
A few more years and manufacturers will start introducing 2 cylinder engines in these trucks. Before too long, we'll all be driving one-cylinder sequential-turbo 'lawnmowers'.
If there is going to be a 2024 Tacoma why not a 2024 4Runner? It doesn't make sense. They are basically siblings.
Bought a 3rd Gen recently so my next one will probably be a 5th Gen and it will fly.... or drive itself who knows. Cheers 🇨🇦
I'm not happy about Toyota not releasing an Extended cab for the TRD Off-Road. Forget the Prerunner Extra-Cab. Its not 4wd. Toyota you should have done better and offered an Extended Cab with 4wd. Not everyone wants a crew cab truck with a short bed. Some people actually use their beds for work.
