      They could of told her things to help that little girl and maybe be alive today

      Which would explain why she hid the gun and kept changing her story. I’m not saying this ladies mother of the year, but at the end of the day, what would be her motive to kill her five-year-old daughter? They didn’t prove that, and they certainly didn’t prove the case against her.people are so caught up in their emotions about hating this woman that no one’s being objective

      @@BleakPod are you saying that they didn’t prove their case against her because they didn’t present a motive? Because the prosecution’s case doesn’t have to have a motive. Juries like them to, but that has absolutely nothing to do with proving the case according to the law.

    Between her 911 calls, her tossing the gun, her trying to give away her phone, her demeaner in the police interrogation, her changing her story 3x and Birkenstock Ben Franklin's performance in the courtroom - I am 1000% certain she is guilty.

      mandatory parenting classes, forced to go to rehab and the state would not give her custody until she completes all court ordered tasks

      ​@@denisehagwood4542I have chronic dry eye as well. Have you found anything that helps? (I realize this is off-topic.) I have a moist -heat eye compress but I don't feel like it does anything. Also have some eye drops. Even when I slice onions or chop onions my eyes don't water anymore. 😞

      What was her motive to kill her daughter, though? Like I understand, they don’t have to prove motive, but it still seems odd to me that she would just randomly shoot her five-year-old daughter after taking the kids to the park. And the fact of the matter is, nobody knows what happened, except for her and assuming that she’s the one who did it with no evidence isn’t great either. I know it’s an unpopular opinion and I don’t have much empathy for her, but at the end of the day, it’s odd.

Start listening to other calls, of other people, who were never suspected* of taking, and who *did* not take either, a life, but who called 911 as well to say they found a (or more than one) dead person - it happens *A LOT* of the times that *THEY* AS WELL *START* with an explanation of *why it is that THEY found the person(s) "now", "there".*

      Any way you look at it, she’s responsible, she should be held accountable and she, herself is the only one she would have been protecting.
      No one in their right mind would blame a two year old for getting a gun they shouldn’t even have access to and firing it when they didn’t even comprehend what it could do or have any concept of what death really means. This woman doesn’t comprehend the full scope of it. She lacks all empathy and compassion and she needs to remain in prison for the safety of everyone else.

      @56ChevyBelAir....I was surprised the Judge allowed the Defense Attorney to repeatedly blurt out comments without using correct terminology, such as "objection", then say, my client should b able to clarify beyond a yes/no answer, even though we had already heard, she hid the gun, "to protect her son", after every despicable action she did.

      I think because it was helping more than hurting the prosecution. It was actually showing how honest the police were and how much they cared as strangers more than the mother who unalived her own daughter. The attorney actually made a fool of himself and made her look extremely guilty.

    Im positive a 2 year old cannot pull a slide back. She hated her baby daddy so much she killed her baby girl. She got rid of the phone probably because she recorded it or why.

      My kids at two couldn't have even opened a car door, let alone pull a slide back on a gun. And even if he did do that and shot his sister, not only is that an accident because a 2 year old has no idea what death is... it's still her fault for keeping a loaded gun around!
      I cry sometimes looking at my kids because I love them so much, I cannot comprehend this excuse of a woman.

      All that would do is get her charges bumped down to child neglect, child abuse and child endangerment for leaving the gun somewhere where a toddler could have gotten to it and for not supervising her children correctly with a deadly weapon in the house and then all the tampering after that.     Nobody thinks of the trauma that these child murderers put on the police, ems, and fire dept employees who have to deal with the aftermath. Most of these employees have kids themselves. My Father-in-law is a retired captain on the fire dept & definitely has PTSD from things he’s seen.

      That’s what’s so wrong about this, the words she spat out to protect herself could have gotten another innocent person killed. What if the description of the subject was used to detain someone, who then got spooked, ran and was shot? I know it’s a lot of what ifs, but this was all to cover up that she was selling drugs. Let that sink in. Her daughter was dead. She was more worried about the cops finding out the truth about the drugs.

    Why does it matter what the police said to her during an interview? It's their job to get the truth, a confession even. I've seen hundreds of interrogation where detectives lie to people to get them to talk more.

      Exactly because all of the lies she made up were designed to protect herself from having a gun and dealing drugs and bringing that lifestyle on her children so she was trying to protect herself

    Officer Cummings showed more emotions and cried actual tears while testifying than this “mother”. Watching him made me cry, our police officers are truly brave heroes (of course there are always bad apples in any profession), they could never pay me enough to do what they do.
