      His mother might have been able to take custody for a spell. Or she could have been fostered for a period. Though I do know the foster system is very dangerous. My father , my husband and my daughter in law all went through the "care system" before being adopted. And they have the scars on their bodies to prove it. Burn scars. Deliberate burns. And also they were all starved. My father's bones were permanently malformed due to the malnutrition.

      The grandmother didn’t seem to let her down, nor did her mother. There’s also a fine line to walk when you’re the one trying to protect a child from the mentally ill person that basically owns her and has control over her. It’s not like the police could or would have done anything if they would have called. They can’t do anything to a law abiding citizen , regardless of what a dirt bag he might be. It’s for the same reason police can’t be more helpful in domestic violence situations. It’s probably his fault that the mother didn’t have anywhere to go and couldn’t keep the apartment while he left instead, which might have resulted in her having full custody to begin with, instead of him. He just pawned his daughter off on his mother, didn’t want her, but didn’t want anyone else to have her either. Once the child’s mother was able to meet the standards required by a judge, because this jerk couldn’t cooperate with her to begin with, and she was about to get partial custody, that’s when he decided to take back control by eliminating their daughter altogether. He has shown to have always been very calculated in manipulating others to get whatever it is he wants out of them.

    • @leeannkaiser2782
      @leeannkaiser2782 5 місяців тому +14

      @@lhr8833I’m assuming he got full custody, because the courts have been trying to make up for the period of time when full custody was always granted to the mother. Now it is always being granted to the father and myriad children are dying because of it.

    Arthur Phillip Freeman is an Australian man charged, tried and convicted of murdering his 4yo daughter, Darcey Iris Freeman, on 29 January 2009 by deliberately throwing her off the side of the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne. Freeman had been in custody proceedings with his ex-wife who had recently been granted more time with the children, which angered Freeman. Freeman was alleged to have said to his ex-wife minutes before the incident, "Say goodbye to your children." Lawyers acting on behalf of Freeman had claimed Freeman's actions were due to mental illness; however, this was dispelled by the custody battle revelation. Freeman was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum non-parole period of 32 years. Justice Paul Coghlan called the killing a "fundamental breach of trust", saying "What Darcey's last thoughts might have been does not bear thinking about, and her death must have been a painful and protracted one". Freeman attempted to appeal this sentence in May 2011 but was unsuccessful.

    That poor innocent baby girl was sleeping when he threw her over the bridge! Why are these scumbags allowed around children! This is absolutely horrific! Reminds me of Chad Doerman who shot and killed his 3 sons because he was mad at his wife..This is happening more and more lately I just can't wrap my head around these sick vile people!

    “…whom he loved more than anybody in the world.”
    Well, it’s very apparent that his hatred for his mother & ex far outweighed ANY love he “had” for that precious child.

    The fact that there is a law that will, basically, give one a pass for a crime, as horrific as this, is WILD! Florida, do better!
    Not to mention the fact that had he had custody of the child WITH known mental illness?!?! Was the mother of the child that far off that the people in charge of settling the custody decided the child will be better off with the father?!😳 They've definitely failed this child!

    So in order for him to be deemed insane. He wouldn't understand what he was doing was wrong, or understand the consequences of what he did. Then he is not insane because after he threw that child off the bridge he ran away from that cop. Which means he knew he was going to get in trouble.

    Wait!! If he actually suffered from such severe mental illness, why was he alone w this child?! Where is the mom and why would she allow it?! She should’ve been in court having his records pulled to show the need of supervised visits only. This poor baby was let down by every single adult around her. Poor girl.

    There was a similar story in Australia, a Dad threw his daughter of a bridge with his two sons in the car who begged him to go back as she couldn’t swim.

    Mom didnt have custody because she was addicted to meth and cocaine. She refused drug tests from cps. She did not have a stable home and bounced around with relatives.
    The kids in these situations deserve a fresh start and stable parents. She would still be alive if in foster care.
    The system needs to stop trying to rehabilitate these trash parents, and send them home at all costs. reunification is a pipe dream. Give these children a chance with people not anywhere close to their horrible parents.

    As a mother of a really mental ill person who can't read, drive, and take care of himself , i wanna say: you manage to get a driving licence - you are able to respond to your crime.
