Thank you for this great comparison between cameras. Right now I am trying to design a security system for our son using either the Simplisafe system or the ADT system that uses Google Nest cameras. I like the extra 10 degrees of view that the Simplisafe cam provides (140 degree for Simplisafe vs 130 for Google Nest) in addition to the fact that I thought that the night infrared version of the Simplisafe camera appeared to be superior to that of the Google Nest cam on your comparison. Thanks again! Much appreciated.
I like this design. I think there are so many companies having their own outdoor camera it can be hard to choose which one you want but I'm glad we have so many good ones to choose from.
I actually have the Google nest outdoor cameras. I just recently got Simplisafe monitoring, but I'm keeping my outdoor nest cameras. Cause they are awesome!
HI there, thanks for the video! I want to use Nest Cams with the Simplisafe security system. Do you know if I can set it so the Simplisafe sensors trigger the Nest Cams to start recording?
This has been a really tough decision for me...I have a simplisafe security system and id love to have everything in one app to keep things simple. Especially for my wife who might not take the time to hop between several apps. But lack of smart home integration seems like a really glaring ommission. I can't even get their doorbell to show up on Alexa or a nest hub...
Have both of these, just looking to compare as I think if you're going to use for simplisafe subscription it makes sense to have their cameras, if not I'd go with Google since you don't need everything else to make it run. Nice pendant representing NSC! Fan of MLS as well.
Speaking on the SS, have you ever had issues (or maybe it’s N/A) with pets? I followed the instructions for indoor motion sensors but my two cats seem to set it off a lot. I end up not even setting it cuz I know they’ll trip it then freak out or hurt their ears when the alarm goes off for 60 seconds. So my motion sensors are basically useless, lol. Just me?
Our team has found that despite the claim that pets won't set them off. They most definitely do. Motion sensors are definitely more of "good to have" but not necessary feature if you have sensors on every window and door.
So i actually work for SS's tech support, the motion sensors are not supposed to, but they do if the animal is more than 50lbs. what you may end up needing to do is turn the device upside down (ik it sounds weird) and mount it about 4 1/2 to 5 ft rather than the recomended 6-7 ft. it basically changes the way that the sensor looks at the room so that it doesn't actively look at the floor.
I have the motion sensors in the corners of my house and can't set it to away mode for that reason. My cats kept setting it off and the cops kept coming so it got expensive. If you set it to home mode, it works fine and the cats won't set it off, but then you have to deal with the timer so there's that.
Honestly, the Simplisafe camera didn't look too good. I used this video, and opted to buy a Eufycam 2 Pro instead today. And I have a Simplisafe system.

Between the two, did either one lag more when responding to the notification to see the live video? Any one better with two way audio?

Great mix and match comabo!

How does the alarm function work on the simply save?
Battery life and charging?
Best LED exterior security/flood lights?

@@Hotshot0225what home security system do you have??? 😏

does the eufycam sync with the simplisafe base? if not, than you need to have video monitoring on another app/platform right?
Does the SimpliSafe cam work with Google Nest Hub or only the Nest Cam? Meaning, can you view the video on chromecast and Google Home hubs?
It requires the SimpliSafe hub to operate.
Nest was a great setup until the gen 2 was released
Simplisafe needs a good IQ engineer in my opinion

If you have simple safe security alarm 🚨 will it cost me and the out camera is it good for Apt
Sorry we couldn't quite make out what you are asking. Can you please try again?
The alarm system has monthly fees. The camera could absolutely be setup if you live in an apartment.
Are the alarm fees expensive
