      @@ps.6023 his parents were apprehended the same day they committed the crime. It took 2 years until they were sentenced so they got their due process as they should. My only complaint is that the former governor, and now a sex offender Andrew Cuomo abused his power to grant clemency for David Gilbert on his last day in office and the 77-year old get to die as a free man.

      @@ps.6023 As a getaway vehicle driver and a lookout, both of Chesa Boudin's parents were directly involved in a cash truck robbery which resulted in multiple police casualties. Did you say corruption back then? What do you call today's big city legal climate with criminals being released the same day they're caught? At least they put criminals away back then.

    Hey Vice, lets do a follow-up? There's a recall effort underway because he failed miserably at his duties as the chief law enforcement officer in SF because of his biased radical views and unresolved chdhood trauma. Innocent victims have been hurt and murdered because of his policies and aggressive social experiment. It failed. Miserably.

    I mean. As much as it sucks to have your parents in prison as you are growing up. What about the people who DIED that night? What about their kids who didn’t have a parent to visit in prison or at home? Crimes suck. Those who love the ones who do crimes are also victims of their crimes.
    How should his parents been treated? With kid gloves because they had a kid at home?

    So, here I am March 2021 (11 months after the video was posted) to tell you all. Most residents are NOT happy with how he's handling crime in the city. And I don't want to dog pile but I'm not gonna lie, there's been a lot of crime (sometimes deadly) done by repeat offenders who had been arrested one or more times in 90 days. And with stores closing due to large amounts of stolen inventory... The city isn't doing so great

    in 2019, I went on a 3-week road trip with my cousin. We made a stop in San Francisco, we had no idea about how unsafe it is. . I parked my ca on the street when I came back a few hours later, my window was shattered all of our luggage gone! Never going back there!

      I lived in SF from 2005-2012. It was some of the best years of my life, but I've seem Gavin Newsom turn the city into a wasteland. It pains me to say it because I love SF. The people there are intelligent, and they used to listen to reason and there was no issue to find SF liberals having conservative friends. I was an anomaly- I am Latino amd conservative, and I can hold my own in a debate. Now, most of my former SF friends won't even give me the time of day. I ain't going back any time soon. I live in a free city and I love it.

    After twenty years living in this great city, I moved away because of the rampant crime, public drug abuse. As a tenderloin resident, I was expected to see things daily that no one should ever have to see, and it's shocking that nothing is being done about it. With a heavy heart, I moved away because SF is a failed city.

    I love how people like this want to reform the system without ever mentioning how the victims of crimes feel. Take care of them first, if they feel the system is too strict then cool, but they come before the person that disrupted their life

      I absolutely agree with you that victims need to be heard and taken seriously when it comes to their offenders. But also consider the fact that many of those who offend have also been victims of many of the same offenses as the people/victims you speak of. There can be extenuating and/or underlying background information that can explain an offender's behavior which in some cases, should be taken into account when it comes to sentencing. It won't make a victim feel any less offended or any more sympathetic to their offender but it is called a Justice System, not a Punishment System. And before prisons became privatized and "for profit" institutions, the goal of most institutions was to "rehabilitate" to some degree (but even that was never sufficiently funded).

    I went to high school in SF in the early 80’s and left for the East coast right after. For a long time I carried a bit of regret for leaving what was a great and exciting city. That regret was quickly erased when I made a return visit in 2015. Old friends I looked up were angry and felt like they were living in an occupied city....occupied by by homeless people and drug addicts who use their front steps as a bathroom and aggressively demand money every time they pass by to go into their own house. It is was sickening to see what has happened there
