    A lot of members in my Shanghai branch mentioned friends and even their primary teachers leaving today during the second hour. Man, I hate to see that.

    David Snell means well, but he merely puts out confirmatory contrivances for dim believers.

    Hello Steve, this is not video related, but I also asked the questions to Hello saints. I would love feed back. As an Evangelical I am appalled at what girls and women wear to church, and outside of church (but let's start with in the church) what does the LDS do to encourage girls and women to stay modest and dress appropriately? Because Evangelicals are failing big time.

      @@lilyotvalley21 I think Evangelical churches have gotten very casual in their dress at church to appeal to as large of an audience as possible. Some more conservative ones still have a "dress code" like the LDS Church.

    Nice interview Steve. Although Saints Unscripted says and supports things against all the evidence, like he says, they are trying. I just don't think they are convincing at all.

    From what I understand Saints Unscripted is funded by the LDS church somehow through Ensign Peaks. They needed young apologists for the church so subscription and views probably doesn't matter. The people on saints unscripted are paid. If I'm wrong let me know.

      Nothing wrong with being paid to product content about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, its leader, it members, its history, and its beliefs by independent individuals of the Church.

      @@rconger24 I'm not accusing just curious why the church feels like it needs to pay people to defend and explain it. If it works for someone they will be drawn to it and stay in it. I think the missionaries are still baptizing people. If after they join and it doesn't work for them they should feel free to leave. If they have questions they can always go to their leaders. That is always how it worked before the internet. But it is the church's money and they can spend it anyway they want.

    I thought that having a beard indicates you are a polygamist. That's why beards are banned at BYU. 🤔

    • @JeffreySnell-dq4jb
      @JeffreySnell-dq4jb 19 днів тому

      That's not only funny but also incorrect. Beards are banned at BYU due to a student council that put forth recommendations for the honor code and the students recommended no beards and the school administration approved the students recommendation.

      @@JeffreySnell-dq4jb why would a student ban beards? Please provide sources and reasoning.

      @@charlesmendeley9823 Hey Charles. I hope my comment didn't come across as offensive when I said I thought the comment about polygamy was funny. If it did, I apologize. I thought it funny because polygamy is not practiced in our Church anymore and it caught me off guard. Other break off groups of the Church still practice it though.
      Regarding the dress code in the honor code. If you were to Google "BYU Dress Code" you would come up with what the dress code is. Having had 5 kids go to a BYU school we have had many discussions about beards and the dress code. Personally, we all believe that students should be able to have beards. In talking with my kids they are the ones who explained that a group of student leaders will submit recommendations to the School administrators regarding what they would recommend be included in the dress code. The School administrators have the final say in what the dress code will be. In answer to your question as to why would a student recommend no beards? I have no idea. I've had a beard and all 4 of my boys either have beards now or did at one time.

      @@JeffreySnell-dq4jb You didn't offend me. After some search, I found that the ban on beards was introduced by BYU president Ernest L. Wilkinson in 1969, referring back to missionary standards. It was not introduced by a student committee. Wilkinson: "Our young men in the mission field are advised not to wear long hair or to let their beards or long, heavy sideburns grow because they have the obligation to represent the Church in the most favorable manner. For the same reason, the standards at BYU should be just as high as those in the mission field." The ban seems to be related to Wilkinson's contempt with Beatnik counterculture.

    I left the church because I found out Im saved by grace ALONE by the blood Jesus shed on the cross as the perfect passover lamb on passover not by paying tithing, being married or not drinking coffee. I did not find out until after I left the church that my ggggrandfather was one of the murderers at the mountain meadows massacre. Also I think he is the only polygamist in my pioneer heritage. I remember seeing pictures of him in a striped suit whenever he spent time in prison at my grandmas house when I was a kid.😂 He really should have spent time in prison for murder but Im sure was protected by Brigham Young and instead was sent to Cache Valley to start a settlement. I also found out Jesus is the ONLY High Priest I need. He fullfilled the law. He is the ONLY worthy person that has lived on this earth that has the right to judge me. He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE not ANY religion. ❤❤❤❤

      @@rconger24 I live covered by Jesus's righteousness NOT mine. My works are filthy rags in God's eyes. Jesus is the SAVIOR of the WHOLE WORLD. HE defeated sin and death with HIS precious blood on the cross. HE was the final sacrificial passover lamb. HE fulfilled the Mosaic law. No more need for temples. I am SAVED by that NOT marriage and following a covenant path especially by paying money to a church/corporation. There is NO marriage in the resurrection (Mathew 22:30). Jesus was NOT married and they did NOT perform marriages in the Old testament temples. We will be like the angels in heaven. Jesus said the two great commandments are LOVE GOD❤️, LOVE OTHERS❤️. These two commandments are how we keep HIS commandments. But if you feel the need to follow a covenant path rather than put your whole trust and faith in Jesus then go for it. I believe you will still be LOVED by God because GOD IS LOVE. 🥰❤️🥰❤️ But EVERY knee WILL Bow and EVERY tongue confess JESUS IS LORD. ❤️
