I know we tease Artosis for saying he gets chills all the time, but the fact that he's so passionate about the game is like 90% of the reason why I watch this channel.
He is by far the best caster. By far. He knows a lot about the game, he approaches the game in such a intellectual way that is mesmerizing. I've been following his channel for 4-5 years and it just gets better and better. He is almost single handling the whole SC English community
There are a few small optimizations he could make. The tanks had to move up out of bunker range to hit the hatchery, and when the mutalisks tried to patrol/stop attack the tanks under the building, terran has an opening to pop all his marines out of the bunker and add extra anti-air DPS. They aren't really doing much at that point anyway even if they eat some splash. And the zerg cannot manually control whether he's hitting tanks or marines if they're clumped, so they will effectively add a little HP. I assume he was using the SCVs via control groups to repair already but can't really see it. He didn't take the marines out until after everything else was dead, he should have done it at 6:45 and probably just kept them out unless the zerg tries to swipe them specifically
funnily enough, he actually called a build crazy terran when crazy zerg was meta a few years ago it was an SK type build with very early attack/armor upgrades
I think at the point where he lost the tanks it would make sense to land the barracks and just pump out some marines. Also as a counter, I think burrow lings could really mess things up for the terran reinforcements.
This just prooves how overpowered mutalisk are as a unit where even on one gas and 8-10 mutalisk Action was still able to clear the push twice. His big mistake was not adding a few zerglings to clear the leftover turrets so he can comfortably fight goliats. Also this gets dismantled by any 20 speed zerglings. You can start pumping zerglings instead of mutalisk as soon as terr leaves base and you'll be fine , just add mutas afterward. Also he could have easely intercepted reinforcements nonstop instead of trying his luck at harrassing the terran base with 6-8 turrets there.
I really do look forward to my daily Artosiscasts w/ my coffee in the morning. Thanks for the hard work putting these together RT! Highlight of my mornings.
Ha, I used to use the floating building strat on Zero Clutter maps to cover my SCVs. I even would make mass command centers to float over my primary CC and also cover my allies primary to defend against mass muta snipes.
Terran makes one extra SCV while watching a soap opera on Netflix about a pilot that left as a wraith and came back as a battlecruiser. Artosis: I am getting chills! Is this a new build after 26 years?
It's like an artillery base! That's so cool. Building out little forward operating bases for super specific purposes seems like unexplored territory in BW. It's incredible that we're still seeing innovation.
Yes, especially with Terran. It just makes sense. In Original, you'd make infantry and put it into bunkers, as it did not have Medics. Why not make them offensive bunkers?
I love that when your titles are click-baiting they actually keep what they promise. Admittedly I'm not experienced enough at the game to realize on my own that this is a completely new build, but that's what you're for. I only recognized that I don't remember the last time I saw a pro cover his tanks with a floating building.
You can't attack doodads. Neutral units are the correct way to do it. They could make a new type of neutral unit that looks like something else other than a lurker egg, but why bother?
For many years I've always thought that on standard maps there is an unstoppable TvZ early game all-in that properly optimized and with strong micro cannot be beaten even if it's known it's coming. This was cool, but the composition that I think would be the "perfect" all in would be bio/tank/valk hitting about 10 minutes at the latest. The biggest counter I see in the build in the video is to someone going heavy ling/muta, but a sufficiently sized bio/tank/valk timing before defilers really should be able to take on any zerg composition...of course with slight alterations in game like less valk if u see little/no muta and heavy ground comps instead.
i think this is one of those builds that will only work against a player (lets assume just this map) that has never seen it. a better zerg would have added a hatch closer to the ramp so that creep would be available to make sunkens on the high ground that cover almost that entire entrance area, after seeing this build 1 time
This build was awesome! Did anyone catch what the final upgrades were on the mutas and on the goliaths? It seemed like the mutas might've had an edge there because they were tanky as hell!
I agree. Goliaths have incredible range, but are lacking in damage. The problem is that the Goliath's damage gets split in half after attacking (2 rockets), which then causes the enemy armor to be twice as effective.
Goliaths are an unit that got the most buffs since release. They got a +2 point base damage buff, and upgrade to the air weapons buff (from +1 to +2 per missile, for a total of +4), and a +1 ground range buff. Oh, and they also got a special Charon Boosters upgrade in Brood War, that increases the air weapon range by 3. So, yeah. It was a bad unit originally.
Artosis I have a question. Does the base the zerg spawn in effect how the barracks can cover the siege tanks because the angle may be different? Does the angle matter at all?
Hey Artosis I just recently found you. Have you done any video thats like your background and your own history in SC? I know you have said you played 25 years. I heard you lived in Korea for a long time - was that SC based? thanks for the videos and its so hot in FL ----- I NEED THE CHILLS too

Sticking that thumb up your comment gives me chills
2nd mouse gets the cheese
It's matches like these that are the reason I routinely keep up with Brood War even decades after its release
Crazy Terran at it again
2:24 lmao the way the drone and SCV shake hands passing each other up was like:
“Morning Gary”
“Mornin’ Bill”
4:06 confused chills confirmed
@@Larsgman When an scv passes is a probe, it's like:

I completely agree with what you said in the video arty, 'Crazy Terran' is a great name for this new build
Skipping all tech just to rush siege mode and goliaths? THAT'S CRAZY
So not only did Artosis invent Crazy Zerg, he also invented Crazy Terran today. When is Crazy Protoss coming?

I am literally sending chills to Artosis right now
After 24 hours, we have a 100% NEW video from Artosis.
100% NEW chills
fun to watch a brand new build. looks pretty hard to stop if executed well
Love that goliaths are finally utilised to their full potential as supporting unit.
what an amazing game. mutas performing that well against big groups of DEDICATED ANTI AIR UNITS shows how good they are.
That build was something i would have expected from Boxer in the old days. This was absolutely insane.
That was sick
That clumped unit position inching forward hex by hex really had Warcraft 1 single player vibes
And then you open wc1 and realise that amount of units dont even fit into screen xD

damn this game was a wild ride, was convinced both sides were gonna win like 6 times this game and it changed
this game had such 2001 lost temple vibes
Ugh that map 😢

I feel like that sort or all-in should have won much more easily, but mutas are so freaking strong that, even with misplays, Action almost took it.
I love that when your titles are click-baiting they actually keep what they promise.
Admittedly I'm not experienced enough at the game to realize on my own that this is a completely new build, but that's what you're for.

a completely new type of chills! impressive
this reminds me of slayer's boxer
26 years and still new chills every day!
Not repairing the seige tanks seemed very wasteful to me since the scvs were present and the tanks are SO important for this attack.
Wifetosis: What are you doing today?
Artosis: Not much, just chilling.
Casual reminder that blizzard can't be arsed to make a doodad so we don't have to randomly use eggs for walls.
You can't attack doodads. Neutral units are the correct way to do it. They could make a new type of neutral unit that looks like something else other than a lurker egg, but why bother?
That little tank/bunker/turret/floating barracks fort he makes in front of the enemy base looks so cozy
I am getting early morning chills from Zerg getting their front door kicked in! 🥶🤣
Ah, he’s playing Artosis Terran.

Making earliest possible siege tanks to break sunkens really reminds of silver league strategies from SC2!
Zerg is so HYPE!
Impressive. 😮 Amazing stuff
That was so back and forth. what a beautiful game and match.
Amazing game. It looks like my friendly matches with my friends back in 2008. Great stuff.

NOPE
Great stuff!
These og mutas man...what a unit.
These Terrans, what an overpowered race.
Like to see FlaSh trying this build ofc with some extra magic of his. Too bad Sharp did not see it b4 SSL final
Would like to take a closer look at the scv production this game. With this strategy the terran has to make more turrets.
unironic chills watching this
Brand new build to get brand new chills
CALL IT CRAZY TERRAN
artosis not getting a chill during a video challenge level: impossible
I appreciated it, really
This is brilliant
this was so cool
26 years and we're still getting new strategies. just goes to show how well balanced brood war is in comparison to sc2 or something
chills dude
Dude that was epic.
That's how TvZ should have looked like according to my first childish ideas about StarCraft 20 years ago 😀
That was an awesome build against mutas he had lot of micro mistakes but still won
That was dope
I like the smell of chills in the morning... It smells like victory.
Dude, there's nothing wrong with your commentary being back and forth if the game's back and forth ;)
When Terran cheese, it's a interesting build. Otherwise, it's called a disgusting cheese :D
meh.. just a surprise factor that countered a standart play of mutas & zerg lined up all his sunkens, wth?
This felt like one of those build Maru did in SC2
After 26 chills, we have a 100% NEW chills.
A new Artosis Cast? Chills.

Artosis I have a question. Does the base the zerg spawn in effect how the barracks can cover the siege tanks because the angle may be different? Does the angle matter at all?
no, its a 2D game
What a build
I’ve often wondered how 1 base strategies would hold up in todays meta
