- Victor Pauca, 18, is living with an incredibly rare condition: Pitt-Hopkins syndrome. His sister Francesca says when she graduates from Princeton this year, she will return home to her family to be one of Victor’s caregivers.
She got her priorities straight. Absolute legend.

I had an aunt i grew up with everyday that was special needs unfortunately she died in 2018 after a seizure. But her memory still impacts people today. This video made me smile knowing niknik is looking down at me in a perfect body.

So sorry for your loss. I don’t understand what you’re going through but I can relate. I lost my older brother (my only sibling) in February of 2020. The pain never goes away and I miss him every day. I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts. My condolences.

everyone needs loved ones like this and everyone needs to BE that loved one like this. not just sisters, women arent default caregivers and they shouldnt be expected to give up their dreams like she did in order to care for others. this was her personal choice
I mean she's incredibly kind and giving for this. But to expect that family members should be carers especially so young, i think it's too much to EXPECT. Like if they really insist on it, find. But i don't think it should be expected from people. Because people don't realise how much of a toll this actually takes physically and mentally

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE from a precious sister to her precious brother! PRICELESS!
She is making the right decision. My 3 brothers became sick while I was in university. It took me an extra 2 years to finish my degree as I dedicate a great deal of my attention on taking care of my brothers. They have all passed away now. I am happy with my decision. She will be very grateful in the future for her decision.

She knows his time is limited. But the sad truth is that we all should know our elderly parents have limited time left too. We should care for and love them just the way she cares for her brother.

Maybe she wants to date , get married , have a full time job ? Even if she hit the super lotto, I don’t think she wants to be a full time caregiver forever . I feel for both her brother and her .
Will be praying for Victor ❤ I'm disabled with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, type 2 diabetes, and fibromyalgia so I know all too well what its like to be sick and come near to death. No matter how I feel or what the weather, I'm out rescuing and caring for stray cats. I wish I could physically do more but I do as much as I can. Having a heart knows no bounds, we all can find a way to be better and do better ❤

When I see him I don’t see a disabled boy. I see the boy he was supposed to be. Young, vibrant, and full of life like his sister.

I’m glad she understood this at an early age. Don’t be fooled by media or these idiotic societal norms that one needs to be out of the house at 18 and far away from your family. We’re one of the only countries that pushes to separate families instead of keep them together. Family is all you have. Love them and appreciate them while you still can. Do not take today or tomorrow for granted.
