Ahhhh. Winter Sundays in the U.K.. When we spend all day cleaning our pride and joy only for it to be rancidly filthy by 9.15 on the Monday morning. Nice one Specky. Excellent video as usual. Some interesting products there - the sealant, tyre cream and the citrus cleaner. Another brand to check out methinks 👍
Great review mate, I've just spent close to £300 on the brand and really looking forward to using it. I love Jacks' honest outlook on his products and all the demonstrations he posts, it really gives you some faith in the brand. It was interesting to see it used on a more 'regular' and seemingly non-maintained paintjob (much like mine is), typically my car gets washed with 1 bucket every 2 months if I can be arsed, and average about 18k miles a year (it really is a testament to BMWs paint quality it hasn't all fallen off), but yeah! I'm really looking forward to trying it and great, albeit critical, and honest review. Appreciate the time you took to put this together, you've earned a sub dude
My favourite product from Stjarnagloss is Silke. From my experience with it its a throw back to a "proper" QD, nothing more than a bit of shine at the end of a wash and I found it flashed off really quickly, no need to spray, spread, let cure, and buff off like many QDs do now. So it was interesting to see that some have issues with streaking
@@SpeckyMcSporran Glatt is a good drying aid that they do, dilutes down 50ml in a 1L sprayer and sprayed on to wet car you can then sheet off pretty much all the water with the hose before finishing off with a towel. Worth a try if you have some 😉
I've tried a fair few of these products out and I have to say, they are suspiciously similar to Auto Finesse's products. Especially the polish. That is absolutely Tripple in different packaging. Even the bottle caps are the same chrome plastic with push flip lid. Could be they are just using the same supplier perhaps.
@@SpeckyMcSporran I’ll have to get a UA-cam channel of mine I got one setup ages ago but only one video it’s AutoMat silly name lol but will work on it
You just spoilt my Sunday and not sure I will ever get over staring at you crutch looking at the 50/50 line!!!! and what all this, "washing your car with Marigolds"!! what's all that about I always thought your were tough in the badlands. If Gummi make things look younger & nicer, do you think It would improve me if I used it???????????? Ok, Ive stopped having a poke, Really good video Specky👍 Take care & stay safe pal 👍
Excellent video specky, I have used two Stjarnagloss products so far... Hjul and Parla, both have impressed me, especially Parla - the beading is very nice aswell as the water sheeting. Hjul is very good although I have not used it enough yet to determine whether I will buy it again. Parla will remain in my arsenal!
Fair review Specky. We've got this lot coming up on the channel next month. Must say the way you say Silke sounds far more like a Leicester accent than a Scandinavian one😂
Nice honest review. Love the branding of these. Used one or two of their products and they seemed to do the job. Citrus cleaner seemed to be the one to go for out of this review.
good product intro, good to see a manky car getting washed, other than Paul & Dave's channels, some of these other detailing channels are demoing too many 'dusty' cars, nothing with caked on mud/road salt. need to invest in the *SealSkinz* all weather grip knitted gloves this winter -- they keep your hands warm/dry while you wash the car, one of the best things I bought from Amazon! 😎
Can't believe I had to focus on your crotch to see the difference! Is this a new future base-line: the crotch shot test? Not sure if I'd rush to get any yet though, but i like your heads up review of the range
My people only have 1 word for snow. Snow. lol interesting, but there is not enough of a price, dilution ratio or cleaning power differential to make me want to switch from the mighty BH/GT :( The tire and trim looks decent, but can it complete, longevity wise with gyeon Tyre express or Carpro perl? Good vid of the products though, honest opinions given as always. No idea what possessed a company in Essex to use Scandinavian names, but the bottles do look good on a shelf. Kinda reminds me of Auto Finesse range. maybe the bottles?
Thanks bud. Some of the bottles are similar to AF but the products are different. The dressing is water based so it won't last super long but it's very easy to use and reapply. It would need to be awesome to get you away from BH/GT 😂
Eh up Specky awesome video as always, but please for the love of god, when are you replacing that passenger door trim strip it’s sending me down an OCD black hole man! 😂
@@SpeckyMcSporran But the crotch-shot makes a very good real-world before and after. Not everyone has those fancy light pens that cost hundreds, just to look for that ever-elusive swirl.
Enjoyed the longer video mate, been hesitant to try this line of products as it seemed to be more hype than anything else. Any single product from the range which will replace something from your current wash regime?
Is there citrus prewash concentrate or ready to use? All in all great video specky. Have only heard and seen good things from them from other detailers
The names for these products are from what I can tell mostly only swedish. Stjärna = Star Först = First Snö = Snow Silke = Silk Matta = Carpet ? Tjära = Tar

Yeah I used a lot for testing etc, you can buy other concentrated citrus cleaners if you need to use it more. It's handy to have a big bottle that's ready-to-use but if you keep on top of the cleaning then you wouldn't need to use as much as I did.
