oke here we go :) Just a small breakdown one more time - First we establish a quick form - Then we redo the parts for better control - Make sure the topology is holding - Connect the pieces together - Fix what is still necessary to fix - Detailing Also important to mention... you´ll see I do I lot of topology finetuning. This is gonna be necessary if we want to have very clean result -mario --
just wanna thank you. because you are only one who is showning production stuff that detailed. I also kinda recognise your work now, because you have same pretty good method across all your models. Very good job :)
I already spent £150 on the Maya Masterclass... Can I use those same techniques or do I really have to buy this course? I don't feel like spending an extra £100 if I can just use the Maya Masterclass to do the same thing.
Your technique is absolutely fantastic in topology and very helpful I am using Blender but I have learned a lot from you Thank you for sharing these videos .
The idea of using messy geometry as the reference completely blew my mind so I can use booleaned stuff as a 3d reference i don’t know why i never considered that
That's some awesome workflow, really enjoyed watching though it. Just a quick question, is there any way we can know the shortcuts you are using? Because my mind was blown in 4:52 when you made those cuts.
Hello there... Question: Is there a way to unwrap a model in Maya? Not the UVs -- but the model itself? I have a cone that's been boolean-cut in the top and bottom, and at an angle. My boss needs to manufacture this thing, and wants to know the shape of the metal piece he's going to need. Thank you.
Hi Mario. I practiced your topology tutorial before I was able to create them after watching your tutorials but two or three days later I had some issue with exactly those practices which I was able to do after watching your tutorials!
Hey Mario, great video as always. I saw at 4:40 that you were manually filling in the endcap with the multi cut tool. I found a $2 script on artstation that does that automatically for you and I use it a lot. If you are interested, I can send you a link. I didn't want to just post a link straight away because idk how you would feel about that.
Yes thank you, I already have few scripts for it but since this is part of topology class we'll do all manualy cause we talked reasons why connect stuff certain way. Thanks again!
There are 34 Videos in total, and 2 are not narrated, but we do a complete breakdown of what is done and why. All Videos are real-time explanations and case studies, there are no speed timelapses. Hope this helps
I moved to Maya after using Blender for a couple of years and I find this software really frustrating by how unsmooth the workflow is, but your video gives me hope.
@@Elementza Yeah it's this point that slows me down so far, I just spend more time clicking everywhere more than my model. Is your video from 2 years ago UI&Hotkeys still valid (for the hotkeys) ?
@@Elementza Thanks, I managed to improve my speed a bit with it. I have a small question, how do you cut the face at 6:30 ? I've been looking how to cut faces between 2 vertex but the only thing I can find online is to use the multicut tool and select the 2 points with it (I really don't like this tool for this purpose) and I couldn't believe a simple function like this wouldn't exist. I tried to look on the hotkey editor and tried a bunch of function but I couldn't find the right one.
Hello, I'm a loyal fan of you. I have been wanting to buy tutorials on your website for the past few months, but not long after each payment, my order was cancelled. I don't know why. Can you help me solve this problem?
Practice and have patience... don´t just do it once and start something else. Once you complete this one or any other object, repeat the workflow 2,3 or 5 times if necessary. Practice small often and all the way through, rater than taking big projects and abandoning half way and starting new ones. Hope this helps :)
@@Elementza thank you soo much, i will practice and i will reply to this comment on 15 December 2024 after this, exactly 1 year from now…thank you soo much please bring more and more videos because I am addicted😅

Mr. Mario, you are the topology king, but I have a question, where did you study and where are you? There is no information at all for you online. I sent you on Artstation and I would like to talk to you, can that, Mr. Mario?
Noticed no one else mentioned how the most complex shape with the most planning just seemed to appear out of thin air. That being the cylinder shape with a 45 degree angle. I know how to do this but you just brought the shape into your scene like it was just a primitive. I think it would have been nice to show that process too to those learning. Other than that, great video.
