Its bottle is probably from 1967 to the late 1970s. Without a sticker on the base, it's hard to say. I have a bottle of extrait from the early 60's and it's mind-blowing, much more complex and darker than the parfum de toilette I have from 1987 which is simpler and more linear.
I was fortunate to find a 30ml edt for $10 at a rack store here in the U.S. not the best version I know yet I feel fortunate to have found it.
It’s quite a feat to judge Shalimar in just 15 minutes, but your mum did brilliantly! Such a lovely idea for Mother’s Day, wish I’d thought of something like that!😅

What perfume does your mother usually wear? For my mom it is Chanel No. 5 and Estee Lauder White Linen.

The formula is pure magic, I'm always mesmerized under the spell of Shalimar when I smell this. On Insta there's one huge Shalimar fan called "Shali2911". First things first...word to your Mother. Hi mum! She is lovely. Let's get a channel going for her, I'd name her channel Frag-Maternal.
I'm here to tell you, Shalimar is one of my favorites. I generally wear ultra masculine scents, so me wearing Shalimar would not be something I would have predicted when my fragrance journey began.
But wear it and love it I do, and nobody has ever said I smelled like a woman. This thing is simply beautiful. I have 3 bottles of the edp, all are modern day.
Yes definitely a unisex fragrance. I love Frag-maternal. Or even just Frag-mum!

@@FRAGMENTAL Heard same too! Have tried Memoir Woman (own the male version). To my nose Opening in the first 10 min. settles from female vibe down to unisex territory. Smells a lot better than the smokey darker male version. Waaay higher boozy absinth note (which is my selling key point) - the best realistic one I discovered so far - a lot less darker, more accessible & pleasant without loosing the mysterious sinful character. Would have bought this one, if I had smelled it before in comparison. ☕😉👍

I hate to do this to you all but I can’t smell anything but baby wipes. For those ppl who have babies, smell it and tell me u don’t get baby wipes. I blind bought my bottle of edp and I really wanted to love it but the dry down is all baby wipes.

Yes the perfumes last but the top notes are gone. Your bottles top and mid notes are gone. I know , I own vintage perfumes .
