Yeah It is incorrect, since a herta technically starts on the downbeat rather than after. but still good way to connect it to something in terms of how it "should" sound.
I thought about it all weekend and had to search my subscription list to see who I learned it from. Harry

Several members of my family play drums (including myself) and we all love Carter. In my opinion there has never been a more skilled drummer, the man is insane and is a creative genius. You forgot to mention that he does this all why chewing Bubble Gum and blowing bubbles!!! He was why I saw this master over 35 times. He got me hooked on this band. My favorite shows beside the CP show, 11/09-10/05(could be wrong on the dates) @ MSG. Sat behind the band in the 100's section, clear view of a drum God.Love your videos, this is certainly my favorite !!!!
Easily one of, if not the most, innovative players out there today. Every album is a masterclass in both technique and. more importantly, feel. There is no words to describe Carter's playing, they all fall way too short of capturing the true awesomeness.

This was REALLY cool man!!! I haven’t really geeked out on Carter since high school but I recently found the Dave Matthews Band Sirius channel and got bittten by the Carter bug once again. I’m glad I discovered this channel and this video really inspired me to get back on Carter and his crazy playing. It’s just too damn bad that you have 65 haters (as of this comment) who realized they’ll never be able to play like this so they decided to give a thumbs down. Keep up the good work man!!
