    I've had the G Pro since launch and it's absolutely perfect and can't see myself ever changing ,Apart from the amazing feel you get thru the wheel you also feel the feedback thru the pedals [no reviewer ever mentions this ]There aren't motors in the pedals but trueforce is sent from the base thru your cockpit to the pedals .I keep Trueforce to the minimum but couldn't do without it now

    I upgraded to the Logitech G Pro and everything about it is FANTASTIC ! Nm power difference is not even a consideration, as above 7.5-8.0 will leave your arms aching after 3 laps. 10+ is not even drivable. If customer service is even slightly important if you have a problem, steer clear (pun intended) of Fanatec. It is non-existent. They only respond to customers considering a purchase (I.e. sales). Once the get your order, you don’t exist. I experienced it first hand. They have gone bankrupt and bought by another company, but it will be a LONG time before they get back to what they once were. If ever. Logitech customer service is incredible!

    You also forgot to mention that at a price of €1300 the DD Extreme only comes with the plastic QR2 lite. The same QR2 lite that Fanatec claims can only handle 8Nm on all their other wheelbases, but for some reason they claim its OK on this 15Nm base. For that amount of money you would think they would at least include the regular metal QR2!
    Fanatec are the only sim racing brand with a QR tax! Every other brand just gives you a good solid QR right out of the box!

      Hi mate, appreciate the feedback!
      Full Force is Fanatec’s equivalent to TrueForce and should be rolling out soon, which puts me in a tricky position as a reviewer.
      While I agree that products should be compared as is, I’m also conscious of sharing information that may be outdated soon, so I hoped that approaching this in the way I have would make the most sense from a long term perspective.

    • @supercededman
      @supercededman 9 місяців тому +3

      @@JorgePowell Agreed, sorta. I think mentioning how incredibly immersive TrueForce is (and other reviewers have attested to this) could be achieved at the same time as saying that Fanatec's version is imminent.
      And, the desk clamp on the G Pro is very, very stable. A step up from any other manufacturer's attempt thus far. In fact, its quite capable of handling the whole 11nm on a STURDY desk with no problem.
      For what it's worth, I have a Fanatec DD Pro as well. Sure Fanatec products of late are awesome, but not a patch on actual build quality and reliability. As someone stated, the Extreme ships standard with a PLASTIC QR. FFS. The plastic QR on my DD Pro is cheap and horrible. It knocks under load. What are Fanatec thinking?

      Hi mate, thanks for the feedback!
      I wasn’t aware that you could buy the Logitech G rims without the rest of the system - assuming you’d have to buy a Pro Wheel for each platform first which isn’t really an ideal solution.
      The Pro Pedals are very plasticky (although still very nice) and the CSL Elite V2 feels a lot more mechanically robust - however they aren’t as easy to adjust and have a much stiffer brake which might not be for everyone.
      Hope this helps! 🙌🏼

    Something to keep in mind with the Logitech G Pro. If you race on pc you can use other peripherals. You would just need to plug them directly into the pc. I don't care for their new sequential shifter/hand brake. I hope they come out with a new h-pattern shifter but in the mean time I'm considering getting the clubsport shifter from Fanatec since it does both h-pattern and sequential. I'm more of an oval guy and there's only one car that uses sequential. I am trying to get more into road racing. I have no desire for drifting so a hand brake isn't necessary.

      In the UK a buyer pays the equivalent of AU$2,276 for the G Pro + Pedals

      @@JorgePowell I've just bought the GT DD Extreme myself, also with the v2 pedals. This is my entry into the Fanatec eco system, so I thought getting the GT wheel was a sensible choice as a first all-round wheel. I may look into getting a high-end wheel in the future. However, due to Fanatec's very recent switch to the QR2 system, getting a separate wheel right now feels bad, because they are all still QR1, so I'd have to buy an additional QR2 adapter, which adds a lot of extra cost. So my plan is to wait until all the Fanatec wheels are all upgraded to QR2, and while they're doing that maybe they will also add some other improvements? So I'd rather wait for that. But once they're updated, I may buy a new wheel. Hopefully I can then sell the GT wheel used without much loss, because it's not available separately, so I would guess there should be some demand.
      Anyway, good and fair review video, IMHO - well done!

      Thanks mate, how was your experience with shipping etc? That’s a fair point, I ended up cutting out my section about QR2 as it felt a bit bulky within the video but I agree that it’s kind of a weird time to buy into the ecosystem atm - hopefully everything will have caught up in a few months, hope you’re enjoying your new wheel!

      @mathias6185 10 місяців тому

      @@JorgePowell Shipping was fine, except I had to wait a bit longer than originally estimated by the shop - but not much (maybe a week). So I can't complain. I'm located in Germany, not sure if that makes a difference. Shipping came from the Netherlands, I think, but I can't recall right now.
      Yeah, it's a somewhat weird time to buy into the Fanatec ecosystem - but the DD+ Extreme bundle made it easier for me because it included a native QR2 wheel, so I didn't feel I paid extra to get QR2. And I hope at some point in the future to resell the GT wheel at only a small loss, and then get a new QR2 high-end wheel.
      Without QR2, I probably wouldn't have gone Fanatec, because everybody (and their mother) said that QR1 is the worst, compared to the competition. So QR2 actually is what made Fanatec viable for me again.

      Get the g29... its cheap and works... if you like it, and want to go deeper, then look at an expensive wheel...

    Simagic has better and cheaper priced products but between these two I'd go with the Logitech DD. I only have the Pro pedals and are really good. It's a shame the wheel is so expensive.

    • @alebaler

      Seems simagic is better, but its also more expensive and not compatible with ps5. You need to buy a extra adapter and many people have problems getting that product to work good for ps5. Considering how much thoose products cost i would never risk it if its for ps5. If it was for pc i would get simagic over fanatec and logitech unless on a budget

    These are not comparable wheels Jorge, only the maker's name is the same.
    Even Trueforce is done proper on the Pro. Logitech has the lower end of the market sewn up and always has imho.
    The new battleground is DD and I'm gonna guess & say, in 5yrs that's all there will be in the new wheel market.

      Buying a car that is about $1500 in this economy now a days will hardly will get you a barely functioning car and needs more work on it that will going to cost thousands as well. And the experience is nothing compared to a proper track car either... I can tell you're ignorant from this subject since you have no clue on how expensive racing is in real life by personal HPDE or full on professionals drivers. You can't take a car with panels hanging off or leaking fluid since that is a major road hazard which will get you denied on the spot if the track host even see that.
      And yes, I also own a G29 with the shifter that is on a wheel stand and playing GT6 for the PS3 to NFS: Heat on my gaming laptop. It's not the latest and greatest but it's adequate for my liking. You think it's stupid to spend over $1000 on a racing wheel but people who are enthusiasts about sim racing will spend that much money to get the best experience for themselves. Why do you think some people buy sports cars and take it to the track? I don't know... Maybe it's a hobby for them that they enjoy a lot? I don't speak for everyone who own sports cars but I know a good handful of them have sports car because they love to drive. Don't be ignorant like this, we are all on the same boat in the middle of a deep blue ocean.

      @haaxxx9 actually you can buy a used Honda or Toyota for $1500-2000 that will last you another 5-10 years. Not all used cars are bad. Sometimes owners don't want it anymore so they sell it. No one is talking about a used race car u dummbass lmao. I'm talking about if someone gonna spend that much they can buy a used car that will take them places. We aren't pro racers why the fawwk we need to buy a $300k race car? Smh

      Dude what you said? I disagree. G29 not good wheel this direct drive not better then TGT-2. G29 very cheap many the details gone in game and G29 not comfortable for drifting or fast drive and G29 wheel too small for me. But yeah G29 quality wheel are smooth and premium then Fanatec DD Pro.
      If you try TGT-2 you will say big difference but if you try Logitech G Pro with TGT-2 you will say G Pro more faster and smooth then TGT-2.
      G29 is good wheel but not for expert driver, you can’t compare expert class with beginner class.
