3:40 they didn't really solve it though... 'cause if you want to switch to a different element combo of the same weapon types, you still have to switch the targeting mods.
So the first point you made is a good one but not 100% correct the loadouts are not part of lightfall they are just basically a free CoL update technically the only thing lightfall brought was a campaign, raid and strand all the other changes are free to other playera
The main reason I miss seeking wells is because sometimes running out to grab an orb of power in endgame content can get you killed. I hope we do get a seeking orbs, but another thing Bungie could do is give shoot to loot the ability to pick up orbs, void breaches and firesprites.
Nah that’s acc a rly good idea
Can’t believe it’s not been thought of cos shoot to loot isn’t used much
hey i was just talking about this with a friend the other day. She has never done a legend lost sector so we were going over load out and i recommended shoot to loot on her scout. she was bummed when i told her it doesn’t work on orbs. but it should. It would give me a reason to use scouts again since somehow i always get that on scouts and almost nothing else
That's exactly why I always run whisper of conduction on Stasis. Makes it much easier on you surviving higher level content when the overshields comes to you instead of you having to pick it up
I like the shoot to loot Idea, I do like how we have gotten weaker and how picking up an orb is required now, but that shoot to loot idea I like
Orbs have physics too. They fall off like ammo. Total ass cancer.
The HUGE problem with all game costs being simplified (focusing, crafting, masterworking gear/weapons, upgrading gear) is that it's all based on 4 currencies. They simplified all of that down to legendary shards, enchancement cores/prisms, and glimmer. The problem is they didn't meaningfully increase the drop rates for these currencies. So our resources are being drained heavily because of this new system. I had 9k shards and 500 cores at the start of the season. I've been grinding bounties, raids, dungeons, and playlist activities. Even got the 200k nightfall last night. Yet here i am down to 5k shards and 180 cores. It's ridiculous.
Some of these changes can be a lot better by taking things out or changing them. Guardian ranks is a measure of proficiency and experience. however by having it reset season to Season, it disincentiveses even trying to rank up. Removing the reset can make it valued more and overall desirable to rank up.
the issue with that is how easy it is to rank up once you cross the initial threshold, because the later ranks are nearly free because they just require you to do raids and dungeons, etc. we'll likely keep most of the progress between seasons, but giving players some sort of goal mid season would help keep players interested in playing even when there's nothing new to do
If they remove the reset then the milestones would have to be much harder to achieve. I just got tier 8. If it doesn’t reset, I’ll be done grinding guardian ranks in a month
And if all you can say with them is "Good player' -it has no impact.
I say have it reset with each expansion, it needs to reset eventually or by this time next year everyone will be rank 12 and it wont serve a point
Gaurdian ranks is not a measure of experience at all. I have 988 hours, my friend has 50, we are both "veteran 6". Furthermore anything past 6 is locked behind the dlc paywall, meaning you you literally be the most played hours destiny player, top rumble pvp player, orday 1 raid winner and still technically be "rank 6 veteran" if you dont buy lightfall. Its literally just another mechanic to push people to buy dlc, just like them continually locking more nightfalls and things like trials behind dlc.
Agreed commendations are terrible. Could have been amazing but attaching it to progression or loot is just asking for trouble.
Having all vendor engrams be on the vendor instead of inventory is a massive change and I love it.
commendations will always suck in Destiny, this is a community that will farm a number for the sake of farming a number, attached to loot or not, people would just sit in a fireteam and farm commendations just to make big number go bigger, this is the same community that has players grinding triumph score
It's crazy to me that the artifact mod configuration is not saved in your build templates. It can be a huge part of your build!
I deduct a whole point, maybe even 2 for my overall Lightfall rating for that change alone. May sound crazy but IMO it really is that bad. I have over 10000 hours in the game and play it almost every day. And even still I reset my artifact exactly 0 times, before they just let you unlock all the mods. It's such a huge hassle, I can't believe Bungie fumbled it that spectacularly after finally letting us unlock all the mods at once. What is the point of Loadouts when every time I switch between Void and Strand I have to re-unlock (and remember!) all the artifact perks again??
PS: Yes you can still make strong builds completely without the artifact, but it just kills enthusiasms, when you're thinking "welp, gonna have to reset that thing every time I put this loadout on"
Oh boy don't get me started on the Commendations system... It's beyond pointless as it is right now.
As you mentioned, the number one most important thing is having it NOT tied to ANY form of progression/triumphs whatsoever. The whole point of it is for others to say "I like this person for X reason" purely out of good-will, to show others that you're probably someone that's fun to play with. You cannot force that in any way.
Second, it needs to be completely anonymous (You shouldn't be able to see by who or how many commendations were given out/received). As it is right now, it honestly just makes the game more toxic if anything. Because nobody cares that much about getting a commendation (because it's the standard right now, when it shouldn't be), but when you DON'T get one, you're thinking "Wow, you really couldn't take 2 seconds to commend me/us? It's free!"
The standard should not be that everyone just commends everyone else at the end of an activity. That's completely pointless. When everyone gets commended, no one gets commended. It should be something you do because you actively noticed something about a player during the activity, and thought "Huh that guy is very knowledgeable/thoughtful etc., I'll commend him"
Let me enjoy my best dressed commendations nerd 😤
I feel like it was more of a setup and QoL update. In my opinion, short version, they need more time for final shape but wanted to setup the bones of the game for it. With new mods, loadout system, and so many other changes made that brought the game up. Now they have a year to iron it out while they work on Final Shape. I think if they didn’t charge a max expansion price and hype it up over the top I really think it would have been fine. But they pumped it up like crazy. Just leaves a real sour taste and I think they may have genuinely lost some peoples faith this time around.
Ghost shell armourer mods are currently unobtainable for new players trying to farm high stat gear
Bungie just added them back with the latest update!
It’s honestly frustrating asf
@@toxicsyre8013 same. I decided recently to try replaying the game all over again just for fun and man, I could not find the armourer mods. I am not happy at all to say the least.
Wow... this crap is worse than I thought.
@@gjhallarhorn8969 literallyyy, gave myself a whole headache tryna find them at first
@@bannedmann4469 yea it’s pretty bad, they haven’t said anything about it either so we just gotta do it the hard way
Agreed 100%, need the artifact to also swap with loadouts. Same with the ghost slot
I would also add ship, sparrow, and emote set to lodeouts for fashion reasons
@@thehero1325 Agreed! I feel like it wouldn't be a big lift development wise to just make all character slots save with the loadout, not just weapons/armor
My take on the whole thing from day 1 has been the story was clearly filler and really weak. But the day to day GAME part of the game is feeling really good right now. Even systems that arnt all there yet (lookin at you commendations) clearly have a light at the end of the tunnel. Overall I'm pretty happy with the state of things now or where they are going currently.
I think a glaring issue of the ranks is that it's tied to the dlc. I know most players inherently buy the dlc but to f2p players and those that in the future decide to skip a dlc they would end up getting capped at like 6 or 7 and can't progress further. For a mechanic that's meant to show how experienced you are locking ranks behind a paywall and therefore possibly inhibiting a players ability to get to a rank they should be at is not the best. It kinda makes the whole system redundant imo.
It’s decent (one could say kinda good) but paying 100$ for this year or 40$ for qol changes… that’s not some well spent money
The money I spent on this expansion I could've literally bought an entire new triple A game with and got 2K more hours in that other game.
@@Denariio EXACTLY. I bought god of war ragnarok on launch for £70 and have over a hundred hours on it. I have like 8 hours on exclusive LF content and that cost me £40. Really not worth it in my opinion.
@@Denariio yeah, I am low on my savings atm (I’m in college not working per se) and spending 100$ on this while freaking OW2 is free, warzone and fortnite are free, even battlefield 2042 is free with basic ps plus. There’s not much of a reason for me to buy LF, and to that you add the over burning effect of playing too much D2 in WQs year :(
Agreed it should be more like 60$ or so
@@nick50prinCe 60? Should've been 20, or free, alot of things in lf are a joke
The biggest miss for me was where it started everyone off with guardian ranks. Far as I can tell it started everyone at rank 6 if you had the game installed at all before the update.
My brother with 1 raid clear and 150 hours whose never gone flawless? Rank 6
Me who's got about 3-4 dozen raid clears 2k hours and never gone flawless? Rank 6
My friend who's got 200+ raid clears 20+ flawless and god knows how many hours? Rank 6
It doesn't mean anything at all besides 'how much have you played since the update dropped' unless you're on a fresh account and that just feels stupid to me
Crafting costs are ridiculous I'm wiped out of shards and cores between crafting and upgrade module costs and had thousands of shards and few hundred cores prior to season now have 250 shards and 10 cores
What i miss #1
Crafted weapons having multiple rows of perks to choose from, so you don't have to modify a leveled up weapon for different activities.
It could be achieved by having a certain weapon level you get another row, and it maxes out with 3 rows.
For example, you reach weapon level 50 you get the second, and at 100 the third row
I was always tripping over the different armour elements to make builds to the point where I'd just give up and make a singular build for nearly everything I did.
Now the mod system feels a lot easier to understand and I'm seriously considering making genuine builds to test out; stuff like generating a dummy thicc orb with a single grenade that I instantly get back because I'm using triple Grenade Kickstart and triple Innervation mods. (I dunno if it works like that in practice; it's just a loose example.)
And personally, I've pulled back my criticism from LF's story for the most part, since we'll be getting a quest answering some of those questions next season.
I'm still bummed we have to wait a season, but at least now I know we'll actually get some quacking answers.
Right now, all I really want from Bungie is for some of the older weapons (Dreaming City/Shattered Throne, Dreambane, Altars/Pit, Europa, Vault of Glass, Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, Prophecy, & Grasp of Avarice) to get origin traits.
I'm not being picky either; give everything Hot Swap, Noble Deeds or Field-Tested, and I'll still be a lot more motivated to use them than I am now.
Seeking orbs armor mod.
Seeking firespite and void breech fragments.
That's all I really think needs brought back from elemental well stuff right now, and I think it'd improve those systems a lot.
For me, Lightfall has for the first time in a while I'm very often annoyed. Anything in Neomuna, annoying. The harder level content is now so hard it's sucking the fun out of it, as well. Even the orb system is annoying, because of no tracking. I have to go chase down orbs like some peasant instead of getting powerups when I run past. All in all, I'm more annoyed than I'm enthused. 5/10 review... at first I was kind of upset at that, but as time goes by, 5/10 feels fine to me.
General annoyance is true, I find myself a lot more irritated while playing most activities in destiny and that’s after reducing how much I play. It’s sad really.
Yeah, 5/10 seems fair for the price
I actually don’t mind ranks resetting since it is only the seasonal stuff that resets. i don’t think commendation requirements should reset though. There should be a way to show how high you got in the previous season though. like some sort of prestige’s system that is in other games. If you get bumped back down at reset it should be easily visible how far you have gotten over all.
My top favorite things (that I also think Bungie did right/better), the best part being all of these (except Trials change) being available to f2p gamers as far as I'm aware:
- The Loadout System
- Bringing back old shaders/armor/legacy focusing
- The rework to Banshee where he now has a weekly and daily rotation for his guns.
- That you can still get previous season's guns through world drops/Banshee/Xur now (I assume f2p friendly; I honestly thought they would just Thanos snap them out of existence and I'm glad they didn't)
- FBMM in Trials (other than that one match I was denied Lighthouse because the game naturally matched us 2v3).
- (Mostly) the new build-crafting system. Although I think it's a step back in terms of a lot of pve things, I think overall it's proved to be a more quality of life improvement for what remains in pve and all of the crucible (I was able to scrap over half of my masterworked armor pieces to make builds with the better pieces although I do miss Powerful Friends/Radiant Light as a Hunter main).
Titan Mains :
PreLightfall - *Reeeeee* another trash super I'm quitting Titan!
PostLightfall - Holy hell this is fun!
Seriously, I haven't seen a SINGLE complaint about the Titan class other than "Another melee super" and even then they enjoy the damage sooo....
Hey Patty, I just wanted to let you know you were one of the people that got me into PvP, and after so long I finally got my first we ran in iron banner! Thanks for helping me through this journey.
Congrats!
10:43 man got fully sent XD
This whole release has been a let down to which I'm probs just going to be taking a break. Guessing with the changes to the seasonal model soon it also goes the same for the story of 'wtf the veil is'. I just hope according to some leaks they do become true in terms of upcoming changes to Trials, power leveling and exotic changes.
If you have ember of mercy and already pick up a fire sprite and already have restoration it resets the restoration time most of the time reducing it if you already have it extended I assume it’s a bug hopefully because it’s really annoying when I also want to pick up light orbs which also spawn most of the time next to a fire sprite
For me, It feels like Destiny was in a really good place last season, and then they just took out a lot of stuff they didn't have to. They didn't have to remove old mods, completely invalidating a lot of builds (and a lot of gear grinded for those same builds).
A lot of the QoL changes are great, sure. But a lot of changes clearly exist to make the game grindier.
And the biggest change is the difficulty, which I think they just got completely wrong. They made some things so absurdly difficult that it's not fun or interesting to play.
Not to mention the lack of changes to Gambit, which is a huge missed opportunity.
not having wells in general really broke my entire play style, ive somewhat managed to adapt, but i still feel much weaker than i once was, the other thing is i completely agree that crafting is currently wayyy to expensive compared to the last season of WQ. while i like alot of the smaller changes made, the under power level in the public areas and such just really sucks the fun out of the new content.
Dude orbs are way better, I generate on average 150-200 orbs per strike just with firepower mod
@@coinisinorbit yeah orbs are everywhere idk why people complaining about wells. Waste of space on armor.
Are there Titans that use Strand? as default build?
I keep going back to solar, or void as support.
Reports coming out of Duality is that all the armor drops with lower stats. As in, about 3 lower. What a coincidence...
Starting to realize that bungie does bandaid fixes because they don’t feel there’s enough content in the game to sustain the player base
I wonder what the in-game LFG will look like. Also did guided games ever come out of the Beta
Can you do more hunter build videos?
my take on commendations is that it will always suck, this community is filled with players who will farm just to make number go bigger
also it will have the opposite effect its meant to have, commendations are meant to show who is and isn't toxic, but what toxic players will do is farm their commendations score higher so that they seem not toxic, the only way commendations could work is if Bungie added an option for negative commendations that would drop peoples score if they were toxic, but then toxic players would just abuse that, so its a lose lose system really
edit: the rank reset is there to give the rank a meaning, your thinking way to current, imagine a year from now with no reset, everyone will be rank 11 and its no longer impressive, I will say every season is a bit to soon, I say every other season, but if there is no reset then a year from now well have the same problem we have now, no one interested in grinding guardian ranks, well not no one because I personally still want to
What i miss #2
Solo raid-like activities for loot that is worth our time
The mission Preservation(?) and Seraph Shield(?) would be great stepping stones for it. Just take the already done map for raids, simplify the puzzles so it can be done solo or up to 3 people and that's it. Turn the raids into dungeons basically, it makea them more accessible for a lot more players, creates much needed content for the game, and i'd think this would be a great method for introducing the raid mechanics for new players
I just Think Elemental Shards being missing seriously Harmed Stasis Builds. And Seeking Orbs sounds good.
I think they should add it back with a 10 seconds Cooldown and it just Grants Armour Charge and a lowered 5% To Grenade, Class and Melee Cooldowns rather than the previous 10%. Think this change nearly killed off a lot of Stasis Builds.
Received my mouse pad I love it so much, learning mnk my old basic mouse pad was really scratching my wrist but not a problem with the new mouse pad thanks for the awesome product
I'm still using a 1990s red ball mouse. I'll never get a "modern" mouse cause there's no cool factor to them.
11:26 yea I stopped caring about the rank once I saw I need to do the raid. Have no friends and the clan I used to be part of was never active. For me as a solo player bungie really do make if some what difficult to get endgame loot solo. But oh well.
Id say so, the community has been asking for fundamental changes to happen for years and all Bungie and it's teams can muster is a barley serviceable live service while they make billions
I really didnt appreciate having to rework basically every class I had because they messed with how cool downs and mods worked.
The major problem with elemental mods is with weapons that have multiple elements. Dead messenger, hardlight, two tailed, etc. I wish we could chose between elemental mods and weapon type mods
The artifact NEEDS to be part of the load out!
I like Lightfall. Yet, 5 in our small clan have quit as it's too hard. "Too much to learn" is most common quote.
I like surges and threats and love strand so it is confusing that these guardians won't even try to buildcraft??
Maybe bungie played it safe too long?
We're gonna recruit more, specifically those who enjoy challenges.
Agree:
Seeking Orbs
Loadouts change Artifact
Bungie, please:
Basic help in build craft for those who need it!
The in-game loadout system would be better if we didn't have to get to level 7 in Guardian ranks to unlock all slots for it and if I recall, level 7 is a temporary Guardian rank that disappears at the end of the season.
With you 100% with the artifact- so annoying we cannot store that set up per build.!
I call the new Warlock Super the Jericho
What I don’t like is that I need to go up to rank 7 to get more loadouts, but in order to get there, I need to complete lightfall, but I don’t have lightfall. Do I actually have to play $70 for a few more load out slots? Please let me know.
Not just LF, LightFall plus season passes…
Glad the guardian rank has a bug so as a new player I am stuck at rank 3 and cannot make full builds.
Yes. My only complaints are the story + raid (kinda) and commendations.
They need to add best dressed accomendation on every playlist you can accomedate players.
How did you suspend enemy with just a dodge?
I still think Lightfall is a net positive for the game.
Majority of the sandbox changes are for the better, buildcrafting is more streamlined and the expansion fixed a lot of the endgame, Champs, loadouts, etc etc. Commendations is flawed but it can be fixed (remove it from progression! It should just be enough by itself), Strand is amazing and shipped balanced, PVP is... not the worst. Sure the Story was meh, but to be perfectly honest the campaign was just like 10% of what I do in this game. The raid is fine, Avalon is great, I generally like the new content.
Lightfall is fine. It could have been great or the greatest, but it's fine. It's no Shadowkeep, or worse the Curse of Osiris and Warmind era and we are not in a Beyond Light Stasis nightmare scenario. The Destiny community has it good right now, and Lightfall's fault is that it's mid and wasn't exceptional.
I never got the Quicksilver when I bought it😢
I think the overall idea of commendations is great, but the implementation was horrible; however, I'm hopeful the whole grindable nature of the set up right now is just to condition players into using it, and not just skipping to orbit as soon as an event is done. Hopefully, in the following seasons, we'll see less of a tie to rewards.
On your discord can i find a team to compleate activitis whit (pl: legendary campagin, nightfals....)?
Guardian ranks is a massive L. Overall, a lot of these changes are things that have been asked about for years. I don't think they really deserve a whole lot of praise for that. Especially when most of them are half baked. I don't mind the new build crafting because I can boost the damage of any weapon on any subclass, which I find to be a plus. My builds did not change much, though if they keep the artifact the same with seasonally reducing certain mod types going forward that will have the biggest impact on builds.
i'm not sure if this is a critique of lightfall as an expansion, or the update to destiny which bought QoL changes. i feel the need to say the we need to delineate the QoL changes an the actual content that you paid for in lightfall, as they are entirely separate things
Love the content!
The guardian rank system is useless, because you have to own Lightfall, Beyond Light and mabe even mor DLCs.....
Expansion is not the QOL changes. Don't forget that.
Losing that 40 stats literally made my build unplayable and I've noticed over the past 4 years hunter armor is purposefully shitty stat roll wise. I get amazing armor on the other 2 classes but my hunter armor always sucks so I'm still using armor from 4 years ago 😂
I'm personally mad about the price. 50 to 100 euros is outrageous for dlc
Best part about lightfall is not having to farm umbrel essence and just getting the engrams
If anything it's wrath of the machine difficulty so it's definitely a good blend with lfgs
Go suck on my bolts you bot
Can't really say anything that really worked well for Lightfall. Strand feels amazing once everything was unlocked but some cooldowns are too long (looking at the grapple being at 52 at Tier 10). Seasonal content hit the mark at least while the main story slipped on the banana in the race before being sent to last place in the confusion. Commendations at first was there but grew limiting and was farmed anyway through the wipes. Guardian Ranks could've been there but Rank 6 has zero meaning if everyone can get there. Honestly should've been a timegated rank. Ranks 7-9 should reset yearly with 10-11 being yearly. Or never at best. They should be meaningful. Not grindy. As if Bungie wants everything in D2 to have some sort of grind to it constantly. Even trying to put Commendations as a way to earn loot is wrong. As nice as it is to get Legendary Shards, Commendations shouldn't be a way to get any. Even the grind itself is dedious. After Throne Cleaver but only getting the Shotgun. Those engrams are not weighted fairly for the actual interesting weapon(s) in them.
The most parts of Lightfall which are good are parts who existed in the former seasons already
We need better ways to get more cores. I hate how difficult it is to get more, and I also despise the fools who think it's normal to have 9 full stacks of enhancement cores.
How about giving us the ability to just turn on and off which artifact perks we want on at a time that sounds so easy
Loadouts are nice to have in-game, and the simplifying of mods and the artifact mod changes are good and make switching things around less constant and annoying than it used to be. that said, commendations and guardian ranks are basically failed systems at this point, and Lightfall's story and forced focus on Strand over explaining wtf anything is during the campaign is unacceptable, ESPECIALLY after Witch Queen's campaign was so good
I quite like guardian ranks actually, gives me a goal to achieve once all the new content is said and done. Furthermore, they're definitely improving on the system, I mean, that's what you do with every new thing, yeah? you push it out as it is and use community feedback to iron it out. Plus, with guardian ranks, 90% of them are going to be completed next season, because I doubt some objectives are going to change (do all the raids and dungeons, for example).
Do you know how easy it is to get hawthorn powerful rewards now? Hell no I ain't going back to that old method
Lightfall has been a massive disappointment when you consider it cost 100 dollars. It’s ridiculous.
no... i think that the cost of crafting should remain higher to some extent because remember you are getting your 5/5 GOD ROLL weapon at the end of it with ENHANCED PERKS! so no i dont think that the cost is too high to be honest i was pleasantly surprised at how cheap it was compared to what i thought it was going to cost if im being honest but also with everything bungie does, im sure guardian ranks will be ironed out over the upcoming year... everything ends up being released as sloppy as all hell then by then end of the expansion usually everything gets ironed out so that it functions as we see fit (for the most part and some things take longer then others) but ngl i REALLY hope they fix alot of whats wrong sooner then later... because if we continue too much further into this expansion without them fixing ALOT of whats currently broken then there is going to be alot of problems and a very rocky road ahead... and only want to see whats best for my favorite game that i really hate but love to death...
Honestly I feel the crafting system right before lightfall was perfect. It was literally simple and not costly. You get red borders, delete them for patterns or materials, and use materials to craft weapons you have the patterns for. The red border weapon literally told you if the weapon had a pattern too. It's a lot easier than now, where enhancement cores and prisms are involved. Ascendant alloys were already hard enough to get, but worrying about prisms and cores is unnecessary. I have to do daily bounties for 2 characters nearly daily just to keep up with my crafting, which means I can't use cores to even masterwork other gear. I'm doing other content in the game right now too, so it's not like I'm running nightfalls but still.
@@cryengine_x I'm not hurting on shards, but I'm always hurting on alloys. I don't always get enhanced perks, just the ones I find really helpful. Some enhanced perks actually are much better (just not all). Some examples are: Incandescent, Auto Loading Holster, Feeding Frenzy, Fourth Times the Charm, Target Lock, Adaptive Munitions, Triple Tap, Surrounded, Overflow, Rapid Hit, Threat Detector, and Field Prep. Auto loading for izi swap is perfect when enhanced, incandescent has more scorch, threat detector gives huge stat bonuses, overflow makes the mag even bigger. The rest either increase damage substantially or make short time windows (fourth time/triple tap) longer.
@@cryengine_x I'm a PVE player only you see, and most craftable weapons are clearly geared more towards PVE. Only crafted PVP god roll austringer, beloved, and without remorse. That's it. I have crafted a lot for PVE though. PVE I've crafted a lot cause I like to have the best of energy type of a weapon. Also a lot of the seasonal weapons are actually cracked PVE wise. To that end I've crafted Thoughtless, Blood Feud, Hollow Denial, Path of Least Resistance, Fel Taradiddle, Retrofit Escapade, Ikelos Sniper, Ikelos SMG, Fire and Forget, Bump in the Night, Palmyra B, Red Herring, Tripwire Canary, Calus Minitool, Piece of Mind, No Reprieve, Zaoulis Bane, Tarnished Mettle, Brigands Law, Disparity, Explosive Personality, Sweet Sorrow, Under Your Skin, Drang, Osteo, Taipan, Revision Zero, and Ammit AR2. I will admit I also crafted some stuff I didn't need but only because I had extra time and it didn't take cores: Nezarecs Whisper, Judgement of Kelgorath, Royal Executioner, Austringer, Enigma Firefright, and Sailspy Pitchglass. However, there is still much I didn't craft because it was trash. Out of my 34 crafted weapons, there's only 9 that I honestly don't care for and only crafted (before the core change) because I figured they would be helpful. Won't catch me spending any extra time crafting extra stuff now for sure, just what I want (which is still unfortunately a lot but not everything). Other than 2 seasons, I usually leave half of the seasonal stuff uncrafted cause it's unnecessary. This season I only plan on crafting the auto (I'm a huge auto fan and who wouldn't want a 720 auto with hatchling as a threading warlock), grenade launcher (to heck with grinding for wendigo), and the sword (incandescent looks fun).
@@cryengine_x PVE vs PVP players am I right.
I finally made it to Justicar but that commendation grind was terrible. I don't mind the system but I hate how it's tied to stuff. Just let it exist and maybe only be tied to a seal.
It seems like you can't increase your guardian rank without owning lightfall. This keeps everyone without LF at rank 6, which is frustrating.
I liked your points about it. I also expected the guardian ranks to show solo flawless dungeons etc. But now it's just "complete 3 nightfalls"...
Not just LF, you also have to buy the season passes to progress…
Bro changed his thumbnail 3 times 😂
(Now 4😂)
I swear to god i matched "itztoxic" in rumble💀
Its funny how barebones everything they introduce is
Bungie murdered buildcrafting
I'm really not seeing a good reason to not be able to unlock the whole artifact like before. Most of the perks are subclass and weapon dependent.
the difficulty changes are rough
I just wish I didn't have to commend anybody to rank up, because I have bad internet so I can't interact with anybody. So I can't commend anyone therefore all the mods are kept from me. I just wish it was an optional thing not a mandatory thing.
Hello
As a titan main I want to hate Bungie for Lightfall simply because they just keep nerfing us. Seriously every small patch there is a new nerf to the class... But overall the game is incredible. The only system I don't like is the commendations and it being tied to gear/pinnacle drops. But everything else has been great. The grapple mechanic on strand feels great, loadouts are great, the new mod system is not bad at all.
The only other thing I wish was different was the artifact mods. I wish we could swap between mods without having to reset the artifact because that's kinda annoying. I wish we could just remove a mod and get another. But it's really not a big deal.
Oh the mod system still needs a little work. Like why do intellect mods still cost 5 energy when intellect is not meta?
they'll probably iron it out soon, as a titan main as well, I agree with you on everything. With everything new comes feedback and eventual change, and we'll just have to wait a bit.
I think the access of all the loadout slots being linked to guardian ranks is an awful idea meaning you will have to grind season to season to keep access if you fully lean in to the loadouts.
I think the longevity of DIM loadouts has been extended for a long time yet with me.
Not fussed/interested in guardian ranks, nor am I bothered with commendations (you've said it all already).
Strand is now good post campaign, I detested it in solo legendary with hunter.
Didn't expect wells to disappear, nor that they'd ruin powerful friends and radiant light for hunters. But they knew what they were doing (more grinding required to rebalance your armour stats)
I think yes but a lot of people say no
you dont have to be in orbit to change stuff via dim
Orbit, the tower, or the helm. Anywhere else your equipped gear can't be changed. The idea is that it's nice to be able to instantly swap loadouts and mods in the middle of an activity
Gameplay wise me and my fireteam had blast
Lore wise was just ehh
Guardian ranks should have been skill based instead of paywall based…
Loadouts are a nice addition but buggy as hell and honestly just a cheap thing from Bungie
Can't even delete loadouts, rename it to whatever you want
The raid in my opinion is too easy but I'm glad that new players to raiding and players that are not that good can complete and experience it so that's good
Difficulty just feels wrong but that's mostly bc the weapon balancing is almost non existent especially when it comes to primary's
Story was just 🗑️
In the end, I think more bad. All hounding at campaign and story aside... PVP. Removal of freelance has turned me back into a 100% pve only player. Tried IB today - went 3 rounds in a row against 3 and 3+2 stacks. For contrast, freelance IB back in Haunted was some of my best pvp experiences - everyone was similarly skilled and determined, but there never was a situation where a duo or trio was just unkillable unless teamshot 6v3 because of communication advantage. For me, crucible is now dead. Which is a shame, since old IB banners are back in rotation. Why are the only good shaders locked behind that damned torture chamber?
Also, guardian ranks are worthless to me. Locking 4 out of 10 loadout slots behind them just makes me not want to play the game, since it feels like I'm forced to do shit I don't want to like legend lost sectors. 10 slots should be baseline, if not 15-20. Every subclass has minimum 2 different "Mainstream" builds and many more obscure ones. Commendations are just power level but worse and more tedious, as if that were even possible
While a lot of the QOL changes are undeniably good for the game, I have a VERY hard time commending Bungie for the,, simply because these kinds of changes should have been in the game for years. The fact that it took until Lightfall to have a legit loadout system, among other things, is downright laughable to me.
I will say light fall is good when i found out what is veil
It's Ok but not stunning. I'm very disappointed from my new Titan Super and the Story. But the overall comfort aspects and other classes are great.
Considering this is only the beginning
With an easier mod system
Loadouts
Nice cosmetics
Good weapons
A fun new subclass
Fun new exotics
And much more
Lighfall is great
Short answer no
To say I spent £40 and got like 8 hours of exclusive content is a joke. I spent £70 on GoWR and have had over a hundred hours into it, yet to have NG+ too. The point is, bungie can’t really justify charging this for such a small amount of content. Also, as a solo player, destiny is even more unfriendly.
If you think destiny is just about a campaign then I think this isn’t the game for you

@@NoVACorpsGaming EXCLUSIVE content. ie: campaign, multiplayer modes, rewards, etc.
@@Alex-ug9wx then you’re unbelievably wrong in saying eight hours. You’re being purposefully disingenuous OR ignorant, which is it?
@@NoVACorpsGaming light fall took me like 6 hours to complete and besides that the only exclusive I got is the season pass? What else did I get? Care to enlighten me?
I’m grinding guardian ranks for when Bungie inevitably folds and makes it permanent
decent but a letdown compared to Witch Queen.
For PvP it’s done nothing. Absolutely nothing. As a PvP main, no fucking way can I justify buying this. PvP has been dying on the vine since Activision kicked bungie to the curb, and what’s shocking to me is that PvP players and even PvP-focused content creators have more or less given up on even talking about it.
Yeah, yeah, “Bungie is working on a new PvP-oriented IP.” So what? After the way they’ve straight-up lied to players about this supposed “renewed focus on PvP,” I’m done paying this company for any PvP experience.
I’ve played this game as a PvP main since day 1 of D2; I kept playing even through the disastrous year one, including CoO and Warmind, and I simply can’t defend Bungie any longer. Their goodwill with me, and almost all PvP players I know, has simply run out.
the only thing that actively made my expierience worse were the new mods, they suck, i hate having arc solar and void scavenger and i miss my wells. also as a hunter main, its really not that hard to hit triple hundreds, i did it in a few days with a couple fragments.
