They're great magazines!!! I abused the hell out of them and put a couple thousand rounds through 5 Hexmags. Not one hiccup. I highly recommend these mags. Absolutely amazing👍🏽
I tried these, had a few misfeeds, no issues with my PMags though. I'm returning the Hexmags and will buy more PMags.
I had the same issue, I only bought one and never bought another.
Pretty much lol
For those of us in capacity constricted states they also offer 10/20 or 15/20 magazines. Kudos to a company finally reaching out to those markets!
been using Hexmags for a couple yrs now and use them for my 3gun matches .. Never a failure!!! great product! Great video as always! thank you again
Hexmag, have not heard of them but will be looking for the mags. Thanks for posting this video. I like the concept of the different colors to choose from and mags look cool.
I would like to try these mags. Love the colors. Awesome review, as always.
Sootch00, thanks for this review I was eyeballing these. Now I can go ahead and pick up a few without the hope that I haven't wasted money.
This video is keeping the course, very informative, keep up the great work.
Great video Sootch, as always. It is good to see more options. Ya there are a lot of other poly mags out there, but I really like the color option. Looks like I may have to get a few, next payday.
wow you can really see how well that muzzle break is working when you switched from the pistol and the carbine. Another great vid!
solid idea, thanks for sharing
I'm sold! Like your reviews.
I like the art work you can now get for these.
Very cool mags., like the color codes
Same, M855 will go with green since green tip, the M193 will be black, M877 (i think tracer?) Will be orange. Not sure what other rounds are available but can color code accordingly
Another Awesome' video on a new product.....And that's the way its done, the sootch00 way. Thanks Brother, I will check these out, the GF will want the pink color codes......
Very cool!
OMG I have to have one..great review
Good to see more magazines available for the AR
Great video as always! You could also use the color codes for team member ID in any type of militia or "minuteman" group using the same gear.
Very good and informative video you made there.
Thank you very much for the great video, Dan

Sootch, these mags are fantastic and seat/feed very well. I actually got mine for 9.99 at one of the major local gun shops near me. If you look on the Trop Gun youtube channel, those guys did a pretty insane torture test on them...very entertaining and reassuring.
Great video as usual, Sootch! Just ordered 6 of 'em based on your review alone. Wish I lived closer to participate in one of your conferences.
Our CA 10/30 mags run very well, great vid!
Cool old tree in the background of the drop test. I am going to pick up a couple of the mags to check them out.
Really cool looking magazine!!!
Great video Sootch
Thank you for this upload. I ordered a set of 6 for $50.00!
Very informative love your channel!!!!
I ordered one right after I saw this and I love it!
Neat product and nice review, but there was something you forgot to mention. For those stuck in limited capacity states Hexmag also offers a set of factory spacers to 10/30 or 15/30.
Another awesome review.
***** Awesome review and like you, I love my pmags but I love the color coding system on these!
Looks like a good product. If they move out of Colorado I'll try them out.
Another great video
Why would a new magazine company set up shop in a state that is anti-gun?
To stand and fight.
How is Colorado anti-gun?
@@TheDramageek88 They banned the sale of "High Capacity Mags"
@@alanbrown2135 so is California then. Right and people still are here.. Lol...California even adopted the scary gun concept and had companies change how you load a magazine in the "assault " weapon, and reload the magazine. And companies have done it.
Stand and fight. Also untapped sales
these r cool magazines. i like the ability to color coat them.
Great review, may pick a few up
Great video 👍
Zombie Green, Blackout, and Lava Red are the badass colors for these mags.
Nice mags worth a try.
Cool magazines.
I've seen a few of these around. Maybe I'll pick a few up one of these days.
Good video, I'm in the process of testing the hexmags against the troys, pmags, and lancer mags.
Great innovation, i love free market as you stated. I own 50/50 of magpuls and metal mags. These look like a great addition, but i probably won't be doing an outright replacement.
Hehe I got to "like" the video twice ;) great review on an innovative product! *****
I thought (to my self) how could you improve P-Mags when I read the caption of this video...WOW! I was wrong...looks like a great product...love the texture and the ease of removing/replacing base plate colors...that option is very innovative...tks for the video...MAGPUL look out...their is a new kid on the block....
Someday soon I'm gonna move outta NY and to America. Hope its still free when I get there!!!
Did you ever move?
Great video!
Great idea
Awesome review! After seeing it, I am going to make an investment in Hex Mags.
These mags are awesome
Good pieces of kit like the handiness of the differing colours. Windows would be great too.
Ah... the good old days when someone could shoulder a brace without "redesigning" the gun
Great review Sootch. My only negative thing I have to say about Hex Mag that may not be a negative. No ranger tabs yet. I am glad to see their another company that has produce quality looking magazines. Competition always brings the best out of any business. Great info as always.
Just bought my first ar and went to buy another pmag and my gun shop was out of pmags. I saw a stand completely devoted to these "hexmags" and they were on sale for like 9 bucks so I decided I'd try one. Looking at videos for them I wished I'd have grabbed 2
in digging these magazines!!
That's a great idea. Glad you put up the video to let us know about it. Rock on.
Cool I may pick up a few
Magpul should move down here to Texas. We'd love having them :)
Eight month old video but first time I'm watching it. Awesome review, very informational. I purchased a couple of these mags but I still love my Pmags. I like the color coding system on the Hexmag but the colors, together with the honeycomb design, makes them look like airsoft rifle mags. Anyhow, they're stout mags for little bucks. I will like to see the 10/20 version.
for range shooting, these are great. they are light, cheap, and reliable. my only problem i've had is they dont reliably hold the bolt open on the last shot (in my experiance). would i trust my life with them? probably not. for shooting at the range, i absolutely love them
Thank you. Good vid.
I found them for $11.50 a piece a lil cheaper than the $13 window pmags I bought..... will try a couple out. I hope they make some for the Mini14 as well.
very informational thanks!!!!!!!
"Magpul, magpuls...From Magpul" LOL!
This is not related to the video. However, I'm glad to see you are still uploading. I was worried when I saw that tornado's hit NC.
nice video
my hex mags I just got have too much play in the followers and does not get caught on the bolt catch as its supposed to!
Do the 300 BO stagger better than the magpuls? I know the bullet profile can cause problems with some mags....
Love the video! Good job as always! I had a thought, do you think they would make aftermarket standard capacity dependable Glock mags?
very nice
Color-coding mags - great idea! Still, gonna be hard to unseat PMAGs from the top of the hill. But at $15.00 each, these seem like a great deal.
I would like to see a Dark Earth/Tan Version. The color options are also very good idea
i live in California and those are pain in the ass to find!
Thanks for the review, would love to know if they run unmodified in the Tavor & Scar? If they do, I wouldn't mind picking up 5 - 10.
Got to enjoy an extended shoot today and the Hexmags I had worked flawlessly. There really is no sense in paying more for a PMag. These work ever bit as well and if you can find them on sale, STOCK UP. I really would stake my life on these mags.
Great video, thanks for posting this! I passed up some California-legal 10/30 Hexmags at my local dealer today because I never heard of them. They were $14.99 as compared to $24.99 for Lancer 10/30 mags. I will give these a try. Again, thanks!
+jmfa57 Get the Lancers. They are ten times better than hexmags. None of the hexmags survived the tests we gave them. Check out other utube videos on hexmags before buying them. Possibly they are getting better? Just trying to help.
+Cole Johnson Thanks Cole, I have some of each, went out an bought 5 Hexmags today. Hopefully they will hold up for a while. Ulp!I also have a few Pmags as well. Since I am, at age 58, completely new to the AR platform, I have a whole lot to learn. Thanks for your feedback!
What the hex, I want some.
I will give them a try.
So sootch00, when you did the 'roll-over' in your truck, the mag looked good but did you check any of the rounds and see if they were squished a bit??
They looked fine and then I shot them at the range. After watching the video I thought it would have screwed up the magazine but it held up well. Thanks Bro!
***** Thanks sootch00, good to know as these mags have potential as keeping loads separate.
+sootch00 great vid.I love the haxmags.hey i wanted to know your thoughts on the wall. how tall should it be and who should we let in or who shouldn't we let in ?
Would it have smashed if it didn't have any rounds to reinforce it?
What happens when you run over an empty one? Nobody ever shows that destruction.
Nice! I have some coming as my others were lost in an ice fishing accident...Need to do a Troy battle mag review now...
Ok so I read the reviews and they were kind of mixed. I ordered one and will do my own testing. If they work as well as yours seem to, I will buy more.
Question--The back of the mag does not look like it would except a stripper spoon for strip clips. Is this right?
i am a little bit frustrated i took my newly purchase hexmag to shoot this past weekend and had two of my AR rifles with me and both of them had issues whit the magazines (they keep falling out) when the first one fell i thought i had not properly inserted the mag, i re inserted and loaded shot and mag came out again this happened with all the one i had with me and with both rifles.
What I normally do with colored tape you coild also do with these mags. Using a standard loadout of 8 mags the first 4 mags you could have a green base the next 2 yellow and final 2 red. So you can monitor ammo levels and know when you reach 50 and 25% ammo left under stress. You pull the mags in order of color.
Do these magazines accept a standard GI stripper clip spoon? After visiting their webpage and seeing the close ups, I still can't tell if they have the grooves for it. I have a few thousand rounds on stripper clips, would suck to have to take them off to reload these mags.
I was looking to buy those couple months ago.
Loved the video. Thinking of building my first AR. Got any ideas where I can start on a budget?
I want some of those and I don't even own an AR.
Thank you for the video. That is one more thing on the to get list. I may of missed it but did you fire the mags that you ran over?
Watching in 2017 and Mississippi is still the greatest state on gods green earth.. Rah!
canelo alvarez still waiting on the south to rise...
I think I'm the only troy battlemag fan in the world, I dig the hex, might have to get some
Gonna look for some to try out.
So I was able to get in touch with hexmag today, I spoke to George, he said the point Is well taken and they are going to fix it ASAP. On a side note, I don't know if others complained to them but I had that response In less than 2 minutes, that is customer service!
President wow awesome awesome beautiful magazine hexmag nice great budget collection wow fantastic top Quality excellent anyway have nice day “
I will look out for these, if I can find some in South Africa. I personally love the PMag Gen M3. I’ve just acquired an IMI Gen 2 window mag, I’d be interested in your view on those?
Awesome. We Like Shooting also said these were good.
Would it be a problem to do the test where you run over the magazine in a truck but with an empty magazine instead? I wonder if the polymer magazines would survive that test. Thanks for a great review as always.
Hey very nice
I LIKE!!!
