Damn, this thing is AWESOME. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that you don't have to orient the rounds a specific way before using the loader- how any direction they're put in, they end up flipping themselves around to the right direction...

I have a MagLula bench Lula and it's ok since once you align the rounds in one direction you just need to ram them home. it does not work with mags joined with mag couplers and some drums. I wonder if this has any of the same issues. if you get something like this you might look into ETS mags that have a coupler built in and take a quarter turn to disassemble.

Hey Sootch that is a pretty fancy loader for sure.
When i was NCOIC at the rifle range in the US Army I used a less fancy loader.

Hey! Everyone that’s complaining about the price and bashing this thing! It's not intended for you!
This is for clubs/trainers/law enforcement/people with too much disposable income. It is not intended for personal use by
average recreational weekend shooters. It's for those that have to load 100+ magazines in a day, or those that just like to waste money lol

If I were to get one of these as a gift, I'd mount it to plywood or a 2x4 and then use a C clamp to hold the board on my shooting bench or tailgate, etc. Neat concept, but not $200 neat in my broke a $$ opinion or IMBAO. ; )

Just purchased a Caldwell Mag Charger AR-15 TAC-30 magazine loader for $30+tax. Has 3 channels for 10 rounds each and once the rounds are loaded into the channels, either with or without stripper clips, a 30 round mag can be loaded in about 10 seconds. That is significantly faster and easier than the Strip Lula I have. The down side is it is not any more convenient in a SHTF situation than the Mag Pump because of its size. In a SHTF situation, the Strip Lula is much more compact and easily carried, although it only loads 10 rounds at a time, with or without stripper clips, but great for portability in the field... fits in your pocket. The only down side to the Caldwell Mag Charger is that it is made of plastic, and how long it will last I will only know once I put it into use. That said, several UA-cam videos show how it's used and it appears to be simple to operate. So I guess it's personal preference and how and where you plan to use these devices as well as cost and device durability that will determine which one you prefer.

When it comes to dumping a mag, the top round is held in by pressure from the next round. If you just press down on the second round while holding the mag horizontal, the top round will simply fall out. Use a loose round to press down on the second round in the mag. You can empty 30 rds in 15 seconds.

    • @mruler360

"Faster" and "easier" are somewhat subjective. I've used stripper clips in 7.62x39, 5.56, 7.62x54r and 5.45.
5.45 is by far the easiest stripper clip system to use.

Brilliant use of GRAVIT'Y Feed to guarantee proper orientation. There are more compact systems but saving time and Thumbs are important. Seems near OPTIMAL.
Wouldn't it be astounding if several shooters could arrange scheds to share? or if a range invested in a bank of loaders for their members? Seems like a Far-Sighted Range could have a lot more people spending time shooting instead of using their time LOADING. Almost like a Midway Shooting Gallery...

what i dont understand is, if the bullets are vertical before entering the mag, why isnt the hopper more of a funnel shape and the bullets just go straight down instead of going in horizontal and then changing to vertical? the only part that would have to be figured out is making sure the bullet is tip down when it goes in. no one wants to deal with loading a loader, we wanna dump rounds in a hopper and pump\crank and thats it. when someone figures that out, im sold.

I'm pretty sure it can not handle the Beta C 100 round drum mags, but what about those aluminum X-15 50 round drums?
I sure hope it can at least do the X-15 as I have several of them, as well as the C mag. I mean having a loader like this should be designed for high capacity mags as well as standard capacity mags.
Lastly, do you know if the aluminum one of these loaders, ALL aluminum construction?
Keep up the great work. I really enjoy your videos and the high level of effort you put into them.

Things cool I guess but with the time loading the hopper and then jacking the thing off I can hand load mags in about the same amount of time.

I can only load 10 rounds into my mags anyway, so I think il pass! But for 30 rounders it looks really helpful!

Be prepared to be gouged on paying for this. Just the small molded plastic base plate that you buy separately costs 20.00 plus tax and shipping
