Another good tip would be to pick up single pieces (often the sets get split up) and hoard them as you find the matching pieces, then sell when the set is complete!
When stacking bowls to show the set, cut pool noodles and use those to cushion and raise the bowls. Pool noodles are super cheap - $1.00 at the Dollar Tree.
Don, this was fun to watch as I remember my grandmother had quite a few of these pieces. They were well used and well loved! She fed her very large family with some of these great Pyrex pieces! Thanks for the knowledge and trip down memory lane!
OMG... My kitchen is loaded was quite a few of the pieces you featured. The set pieces I have Cayman multi colors, red blue yellow green. I also have the divided vegetable dish with l i d. They all have different patterns on the outside. I picked up most of the pieces in the seventies when I started housekeeping. Got them at yard sales and thrift stores. The most expensive ones where the divided vegetable dishes that I paid $2 each for. The color on some things has faded. Thanks for sharing, didn't know I had a gold mine in the kitchen! And yes I do use them for everyday, great for heating stuff up in the microwave, storing in the freezer and of course the refrigerator dishes.
One of my pet peeves is people who finally sell something and they get so excited and post it on the groups as a BOLO! I get sick of seeing that. HOWEVER, this video is, indeed the posterchild for a BOLO video. I learned a lot from this and will now BOLO for Pyrex like this. Thank you sir.
I pick up Pyrex whenever I can. Thank you for the wood block idea. Now the bowl sets I pick up to sell at the flea market won't take up so much space. Good display idea.
I looked up my Pyrex casserole my mother gave me before she died. I figured out it is a pattern called Lace Medallion or White Lace. It is of extreme sentimental value to me. I was born in 1961 and remember it on the dinner table my entire life. It is in old home movies from the 50s. I had no idea it was valuable. As a young bride I had the cornflower set and the spice set. I probably gave them away during moves in the 80s and 90s. Fascinating video. Thank you!
Jaw-dropping prices! I have been cooking with my vintage pyrex for at least 20 yrs. Don't remember where I got them or when. Now I think I need to stop actually using them.
That blue snowflake was an unusual shape, that is why the price was so high and as for the tiny butterprint, the 440 in any print will go for loads of money as that size isn't one of the regular ones. Very few in that size in any print were made.
The vintage pink Pyrex mixing bowls. I have the whole set. Got it as a gift many years ago. These are in a cabinet because it's a great memory of the person.
Having a yard sale this weekend ! I realized I have some Amish Pyrex and some age of Aquarius Pyrex that I am taking out of the yard sale ! Love all your videos ! P. S. Also found one of those W11 black crackle Zippo lighters with box and directions. would have passed it up if I hadn't watched your video ! I have learned a lot from you ! Thank you 😊
Me and my mom collect Pyrex for several years I will saying I have seen some of the prices just go up and up and up and they're still going up month by month in price so definitely agree it is something to keep your eyes open for
I found a dainty pink casserole dish for $2 at the thrift store and gave it to my brother in law who loves this stuff last Christmas. I’ll never be able to top that find. Lol
I just looked at a bunch of Pyrex on ebay. The same pieces were selling for $15 and $20 and some a little more but nowhere close to the hundreds mentioned in this video. I don't know where they would sell for so much more.
You have to look at sold listings only as that's the only way to know what they actually sold for. Active listings haven't sold, and starting prices mean nothing. All of the ones shown in the video sold for the prices stated on eBay. I only show actual sold eBay listings in my videos.
Hard to find the refrigerator keepers here anymore. Used to be able to get the pieces with the lids for $10.99 now their well over $20.00 apiece if you can find them at all.
What is your "buy it now" VS "auction/bidding" ratio? Which one do you prefer most of the time? Also, do you get many returns on your Pyrex items...broken in transport, etc?
B-Man 123 check out Dons packaging videos. I doubt he’s ever had things break, he’s the best! Personally for breakables I use the double box packaging method.
Thanks for another informative video. I have been buying and selling Pyrex for years, but this last maybe 18 months I have gotten record prices for it. Fire King is doing quite well too. Not quite as high as Pyrex, but not too far off for rarer pieces. Cheers!

That is absolutely AMAZING on the prices you are getting for old Pyrex Don. If you don't mind I noticed these are auction style what was the starting price on most? Thank you.
Hi Don, I have a 2 piece Pyrex mixing bowl set. It's base color is white with red Birds & red & yellow flower design. I cannot find info on this pattern.
I’m not seeing those prices on the Amish butterprint mixing bowls. Cinderella or otherwise. I own a set of them so I was curious. Hi, great videos, just found your channel. I have checked pyrex sales on ebay here in the UK but they don't sell for much. The amish dish gets around £30. Is it just a US thing?
Not sure then on the UK site as those shown are straight from eBay. I'm also only showing a very small amount of those that sold. There are hundreds if not thousands that sold for high prices.
These are all eBay sold items straight from eBay. You need to look at sold listings NOT active. I have link do here in the comments section as well that will take you straight to the actual items shown in this video on eBay. So yes they do sell as shown. eBay doesn't make up fake sold listings.

Alison Curtis most do say Pyrex on the bottom. I believe the small bowl with the strawberries was the only one Don said didn’t have a mark (there may be more). Once you see Pyrex in person, they are easy to spot, there’s not much else out there like them.
I have a cup white with the turquoise pattern that its impossible to find. I search it and still nothing... New subscriber. Love your videos and I want to eat your brain Profesor. LoL.
That's an interesting question. Have you tried selling them in Israel? Domestic shipping only? I bet they would sell for similar prices. Be sure to look at Sold listings within your country when trying to see value on individual items.
Hi AP, do you have a video showing how you wrap and ship your various items? If not, please make one. As a seller myself, I have limited what I sell to fit in flat rate envelopes due to shipping charges. Thx
Is this an older video or older sales? I can’t find some of these sales on eBay. I’m looking because I have the butterprint Pyrex and when I looked it up it’s only going for about $40. I do not see it sold for more. I’m confused.
judith, yes they are straight from eBay sold listings. Keep in mind that some items may have dropped off the site due to ending listings only being shown for 90 days. If you are doing research open two windows up when you search one for only sold listings, and one for completed. Then compare the amount of the item you are looking for that sold with those that didn't. This will give you a average sell through rate for the item or category you are looking for. Then look at sold to see the value. If you still aren't sure due to low amount of listings of a scarce or rare item then check Terrapeak, and active listings to see if any other are around.
Yes thanks these are from sold listings. We do though look at all three options for scarce or rare items. The more information one can get the better. Terrepeak, and Worthpoint can be helpful also.

Great thx!!!
Don has the best packing videos of any youtuber I’ve seen 👍
Is this an older video or older sales? I can’t find some of these sales on eBay. I’m looking because I have the butterprint Pyrex and when I looked it up it’s only going for about $40. I do not see it sold for more.
I’m confused.
Are you checking the eBay Sold/Completed listings, or current listings?
Beatrice Norman sold listings
judith, yes they are straight from eBay sold listings.
Thank You!
Yes thanks these are from sold listings. We do though look at all three options for scarce or rare items. The more information one can get the better. Terrepeak, and Worthpoint can be helpful also.
I can get tons of pyrex for pennies on the dollar.
Oh crap. I just cleaned my mother's home out after she passed. I gave a lot of this stuff to salvation army. I do have 6 pieces that I kept.
