I dont like apex legends. No pilots, slow time to kill, no titans. Very disappointing as a Titanfall fan, screw EA.

Yeah same. Titanfall 2 is probably my favorite FPS ever made. Hopefully we do get a sequel eventually
We might get a tf3 one day but it'll never be the one we deserve. All the og heads of respawn are long gone at this point. We'd get nothing more than an empty husk of what it could've been.
It's crazy how both TF2 games were abandonned and the communities are doing whatever they can to keep them alive

I remember when titanfall 2 came out. My mom told me i could only get 1 game out of the 3 that came out on the same day. While all my friends picked cod. I went with titanfall2. A decision i would never regret! Eventually my friends realized how good titanfall 2 was and also got it. 4,000 hours on titanfall 2 🔥 I played that game religiously. It really hurts to see the state of the franchise. I will forever have hope of the 3rd game
My friend convinced me to buy the game a few months after launch and yeah titanfall 2 is probably my favorite FPS of all time. Definitely one of the GOATS 🐐
Battle royal has left a massive stain on the gaming industry in many ways it's really sad
Battle royal, live service, looter shooter, dlc, in-game currency. The further along this industry goes the more they try to squeeze every penny from customers. It’s sad to see
@@planetdrull1701 don't forget the massive stain cyberpunk has left either. They've shown it's not only okay to "release now and maybe fix later" but that it will also be applauded by gamers. It got the ongoing game award that it doesn't deserve and doesn't even classify as and the DLC isn't even free.
@@A_Certain_Mf Game producers are obsessed with better graphics and more details. Driving up costs and production time and working their developers to the bone. Like a self-cannibalizing machine, they’ll run their own resources dry long before they realize their own mistakes. Someone else will just buy them out before they go bankrupt anyway
@@A_Certain_Mf While cyberpunk did goof, they are not the class leaders when it comes to release now and update later. I would say Fallout 76 was one of the main leaders on that front and many other EA games like battlefront.
@@Theophiloz I'd say there's a difference. People still think and say fallout 76 is complete ass, while the cyberpunk crowd did a complete 180 and says it's a gift from the heavens

I bought Titanfall 1 day 1 and still play it today, gameplay loop got me hooked definitely a favorite.

@@UltraGreenNo.57 Playing on Xbox one about 80 people on average mostly playing Attrition, PC much harder to find anything.

Titanfall was fucking Amazing I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the amazing “prestige” (generation) progression you also had through the game. I loved how you had to do certain challenges to get to the next prestige. I remember GRINDING the “gooser challenge” it was so hard they reduced the amount of kills you had to get from 100 to just 5. Something I wish they brought back to TF2 but sadly didn’t
Every time apex releases something “in universe” it just hurts, it’s like a giant middle finger
TF2 is one of my all time favorites. I still play it to this day.

I think what people often loook over is that the third game if it ever happens will not feel or look anything like tf2 simply due to respawn now being owned by EA they would have to use the frostbite engine not the source engine. Also Vince is the head of battlefield now and if he isn’t involved that’s a huge red flag for me.
Yeah I would agree. I think a Titanfall 3 has a higher chance of being a huge disappointment than a worthy successor

There have been more leaks about another Titanfall game, but it “isn’t titanfall 3”. We’ve heard that before, but I’m gonna stay cautiously optimistic about it.

if we are already on the topic of titanfall being the best and most neglected child; i'd like to remind everyone that titanfall assault used to exist, and it was the best mobile game i've had the pleasure of playing before it got shut down.

I was never really a battlefield guy but I have heard good things about the game. It definitely was better than Infinite Warfare of the same year 💀

TitanFall 2 was so much fun. Me and the homes started playing it when we had nothing else to play and had alot of great moments on it. Sad that they could have had a new Franchise power house but went with the Battle Royal money grab.
I used to stay up late at night with my friends on Xbox grinding TF2 and it was a blast
Wonderful respect for the greatest shooter of all time🎉 the only thing I would add is how dedicated response was to the player base for years after EA cut support to the game they kept releasing free content we truly felt like they cared about us

I prefer for the franchise to die than to follow the already terrible route of mainstream accessibility that Titanfall 2 and subsequently Apex had. The first Titanfall game had an objectively amazing skill gap and learning curve with the only downside of having the smart pistol being a thing in the game, the titan weapon customization was great.
There’s definitely more than 1 downside, like legion having massive health and being strong at all ranges. I would prefer them to just make a tf3 that is basically tf2 graphics movement etc (practically unchanged) but with different maps and a new campaign. So a big dlc but separate from game. Ironically tf2 has a lot of micro transactions which people attribute bad games to as well.
Yeah i could definitely see the game being ruined by the modern Respawn by trying to make it main stream and filled with microtransactions
The thing is, those mirco transactions were actually mirco.
I still have my first gen ps4, and it’s still very loyal!
What’s also incredible is that the community for this franchise has been incredible. I mean they made their own client to keep the game alive while Respawn abandoned it for years until recently. It shows how people are craving for a third instalment.
The titanfall community is probably the most dedicated community I've seen in gaming. They have stood by the game through everything

I also disagree that the spitfire is the worst weapon in the first game as if your goal is to kill enemy titans via rodeo it is by far the best weapon for that purpose and holds its own when ADS-ing. It's not a hip-fire weapon.

I enjoyed titanfall 2 and picked it up later because of Battlefield 1 coming out and as much as I am sorry for titanfall 2, BF1 was just such a great game and one I still play today.
great video but one correction, apex actually did have a huge hype train as ea had paid several streamers to play the game, that created hype train but the responsiveness of the devs and the movement and just pace of play kept people playing.

Every time steam has a titanfall sale, concurrent players count surges.
Since servers were fixed in 2023 concurrent players count goes from 4k to almost 2k... every single day.
For the past several weeks this has risen to 7k to 10k.
Respawn fixed server problems.... but has not dealt with a plague of cheaters. Granted, its not as serious a situation as Battlefield or CoD, and it's not a horrible situation as PUBG.
Still, 5 to 12% players cheating is not good.
A part from that...
I don't hate Apex. I dislike iit a lot and I for one will never forget what Respawn did to Titanfall 1 and not doing a thing about Titanfall 2 for 2 years straight after initial attacks begun.
I will NOT buy a single game by Respawn... even if it's Titanfall 3.
Keep in mind the original team behind Titanfall is mostly gone. Since then several very serious things happened (hiring practices wise).
Titanfall 1 and 2 will always have a place in my heart age memory.
If Titanfall 3 dropped today I would abandon Apex
The amount of ungodly hours spent awake at night spent in the titan fall series makes me sad to think about. Multiplayer games just don’t hit the same anymore ever since the broader audience fell in love with battle royal games.
Activision lawyers have become more like Nintendo lawyers. We’re joking now but give them a few months when they start marketing the next game.
Titanfall 2, Battlefront 2, and Deep Rock Galactic deserved so much more

Personally, I’m afraid of an attempt at a 3rd entry to the franchise. Seeing as Respawn is essentially disassociating with their Titanfall IP and a majority of lead directors and developers have moved on or been laid off since then. I feel that a lot of the passion and respect has been lost now. With the present state triple A gaming, there will never be another game like Titanfall 2. Thank you for this video.

I loved TF2 to death but I also have thousands of hours in Apex.
But man... It's overstepping boundaries to hack other games just to save an 8 year old game with a very dedicated but small fanbase. Espacially when you have a moneymaking, very successful "new" game in the same universe.
There is no Support for Fifa 2017, Gran Turismo 5 and so on... But in a World where you cant get spare parts for a 20 year old 80000$ car, you cant expect Updates or too much care for a 40$ Dollar game you bought 8 years ago.
Also as you all saw in the last weeks, they cant even take care of Apex isses. Skill issue by Respawn I guess.

TF1 is the best.
I never played it, so I can't give true insight on whether it was better, but my friends have praised the game repeatedly. Just sad its basically unplayable now
@@BeastMod2 Makes sense as to why you said electric smoke is bad. Electric smoke was so good in TF1 that it got nerfed into the ground in TF2.
I won't argue against TF2 but it's impossible to call the game better than BF1, not even half as good as bf1. I think you can't launch a game to new audience with number "2" attached to it.
Only thing this series had going for it was its movement mechanics. The rest of it was incredibly mid.

Despite the positive reception, Titanfall 2 underperformed commercially, with most attributing its underwhelming performance to going on sale in a crowded release window, placed between the release of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Wishing for a Titanfall game where the IMC comes back to the frontier and pushes the militia back far enough to kill every single apex legend and then Cooper steps in and does what a pilot does. This will probably never happen but it is a real shame to see a game that was made by a legendary group of developers trying to push the limits on intense gameplay just to come to terms with the fact that your average gamer needs something more "sticky" and simple. Maybe one day a spiritual successor will heal the damage inflected by terrible retcons and neglect perpetrated by the owners of the Titanfall IP.
