Saw them live once, one of the most incredible live experiences I ever had. These guys change at least 5 bow strings each per concert, they just shred them to pieces.
Dude. It sounds EXACTLY the same live, there's no camera trickery or fancy audio mixing involved. Idk if you're a fan of classical (specifically baroque) music, but Luka- the darker haired guy- completely rearranged and recorded Vivaldi's Four Seasons to feature cello instead of violin and the entire thing is absolutely breathtaking 🖤🖤🖤
The other dude had to be playing an electric cello... much like electric violins they do exist and some of those sounds you can't get on a cold cello...

I totally forgot that I HAVE seen them live. I've been a fan for years. A few years back my husband and I got tickets to see Elton John's show at the Coliseum in Las Vegas. Elton had flown 2 cellos in to Vegas after a couple of his regular band performers had needed to cancel a couple shows unexpectedly. There was no announcement or notice that they were going to be there. Elton gave them like 45 minutes to do their own mini concert and it was amazing. They then of course filled in for Elton's missing band members. Most folks in the audience didn't know who was performing because they didn't announce them. Being a fan I knew immediately who they were. By the end of their mini show everyone was on their feet and Elton came out and thanked them and told the audience who they were. Huge long standing ovation! I've seen dozens of shows in Las Vegas as I grew up there and that show and the surprise concert were one of the best things I've ever seen on a Vegas stage...simply amazing!

I have been a huge 2cellos fan for over 5 years now and they continue to amaze me with both their more ambitious covers as well as their versions of more traditional cello music. Luca and Hauser are both amazing by themselves and often competed against one another as they were developing their talents. Originally from Croatia, they have known and studied together since they were teens. Luca had a friend that helped them produce their first UA-cam video for their cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" in 2011, which received over 3 million views in the first two weeks and is currently over 38 million views. They were signed by Sony in 2011, and were also called and requested by Elton John personally to come one his 2011 Summer tour after he had seen their Smooth Criminals video on UA-cam. My top three of my favorite pieces they have done are: an original piece titled "Celloverse", their cover of "Mombasa" from the movie Inception and a more traditional piece called "Gabriel's Oboe" from the movie The Mission. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention their video of "I Will Wait"... the song is beautiful and the video provides a background that is absolutely stunning as well.

I have not gotten to see Dimash in concert yet, but I am super excited that I will be seeing Hauser in February. Not sure how he will be solo, but always love him with the 2Cellos. I would love for Hasuer to have Dimash as a guest at some of his concerts and Dimash have Hauser as a guest as well. Amazing musicians.
They are on tour now in the United States. We saw them in Detroit. The concert was absolutely the best I have seen in my 75 years. Their drummer is unbelievable. Next they will be in Europe, Japan and Australia. They play everything from classical, jazz, pop and heavy metal as soloists. I am excited watching you see their performance for the first time.
Hauser on the left here was on the Virtuosos judging panel for 2024 with Dimash...invited with several others to Budapest by Placido Domingo to participate as judges for his young musicians competition. Placido asked Dimash to sing a duet with him that is outstanding. And, Hauser and Dimash have played a couple of duets doing variations of S.O.S. Soooo cool.

They are both very talented, classically trained and have decided to do their own thing. I will miss seeing them, but thankful for UA-cam videos when I want a fix.
I can confirm that they are classically trained. Years ago, Stjepan Hauser from Croatia (the one in the yellow coat) played in a group called The Greenwich Trio. Also check out Smells Like Teen Spirit live at Sydney Opera House...drum solo at beginning is sick as hell! Enjoy 😉
I love how their bows are absolutely SHREDDED at the end. You should check out the piano guys too! Definitely not as intense, but they have a beautiful cover of o come o come Emmanuel
I love all your reactions, but being a huge fan of Two Cellos, gotta say for me, this is the best yet and I'm sooo glad you found them. These guys are rock stars - not to mention their phenomenal classical artistry. They also do solo work, which is beautiful. Another thoroughly enjoyable reaction - thanks!
Just found your reaction, you were positively vibrating and your heart was pounding, I could see your whole being at one with the music. Fantastic! I love these guys. 🤘 I come from a classical and Opera background. Their Benedictus, Casta Diva and Czardas are amazing in the strict classical repertoire which they also do great justice to those pieces. Cohen’s Allelujah it also becomes amazing in their instruments. But *This* rendition truly qualifies as operatic virtuosity. It is absolutely phucking nuts and I adore how they beat up the hell out of those strings, it is just nuts and totally go to town when I hear them play it. Great reaction, I hope you recovered.🤘 🤘
I found these two at the start of the pandemic and they truly helped me get through it. I've watched all their videos multiple times. I can't really name what is my favourite but they do a completely brilliant job of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. I think there are two of them but these one is at a concert and they also have the most incredible drummer. The first time I watched it, my jaw was dropped the entire time. Just checked, it's the one from 4 years ago at the Sydney Opera House and opens with the most incredible drum solo. There's a shorter version that isn't as good from 2 years ago.
These guys are so talented and I love watching them, they always seem to bring new life into the songs they do. also should check out their video of The Show must go On
I'm so happy you finally got the chance to check this one out. These guys are insane. I vote for their cover of Smooth Criminal next. Another insane talent to check out is Peter Hollens. Him and Lindsey Stirling did a Star Wars medley together using only his voice and her violin. It is crazy and a lot of fun as well. Speaking of Lindsey Stirling you should check out some of her newer stuff like Artemis, Til the Light Goes Out or Underground.
I took my daughter to see 2 Cellos for her first concert. It was so amazing! We got to meet them after, and she was so nervous she didn't say anything. So we waited in the whole line again so she could talk to them. They were so sweet and kind!
2Cellos are awesome. They are incredible classically trained musicians that recreate great songs! You gotta check their version of Iron Maiden "The Trooper" it's incredible!!
These guys are so talented, my first contact with them was with their cover of a Nirvana song. Pls react to Lindsey Stirling - Shatter Me or Roundtable Rival, she was the violinist in the music video "Radioactive" by Pentatonix
Your reaction mirrors my first reaction. Thunderstruck was first 2CELLOS performance I saw too. You are definitely going down the 2CELLOS rabbit hole. Enjoy!!! They just performed in Vegas last night. Their final tour. 😭

These two are crazy talented guys. Your reaction was exactly like mine was. It was epic. If you want to continue their heavy rock / metal stuff, you need to check The Trooper, Whole Lotta Love, Smells Like Teen Spirit (Sydney Opera House), U2. They also do Imagine Dragons, several by Muse, Aerosmith and more AC/DC. They have just started their final world tour so I'm going to see them live for the very first time in London in June. Stjepan and Luca have also done lots of covers for films like Game of Thrones, so their range is huge and diverse. Please react to more of 2Cellos and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.
My son heard them in CO playing at an outdoor amphitheater. Said is was an incredible experience. I have been watching them since they were 14 on AGT or one of those talent shows. Loved when they played Highway To Hell with Steve Vai in a music store. This was back in 2013. It was also awesome to see them play with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) Dream On and Walk This Way. To bad they don't go on tour anymore!
@@keithmcdonnell4485 those sure look like acoustic cellos to me. Are you saying the sound is dubbed over? With the right sound system, I still believe that can be achieved with acoustics.
In concert they normally play their electric cellos, and in some videos they switch back and forth between acoustic and electric (watch the trooper overture). Yes, they really play the acoustic cellos for the video, but some (not all) of the audio is from them playing their electric cellos. At the end of thunderstruck where he is rolling around on the ground? No way in heII did that sound come from an acoustic instrument. There are other points where it is clear that the audio comes from the electric cellos, but the end point is the most obvious.
@@keithmcdonnell4485 what makes you think that sound can't come from an acoustic cello when he's rolling around on the floor? Like I said, if it's properly miced up, it will. I play my cello like that all the time lol.

You might want to check out their version of Avici "Wake me up", and their version of "He's a Pirate" from Pirates of the Carribean. While not rock songs both songs are also incredibly high production value, and fun to boot. The cello is probably the best classical instrument to cover human voices in the alto to soprano octave range. The trouble with their live performances is that they use loads of looping when they go more into the solo parts to cover their background. So if you expect *everything* in their concert to be constantly live, then you'll be disappointed because two cellos simply can't cover all of the notes necessary for a full cover of most songs. But if you can accept electronic looping of a previously recorded part of their playing, then you'll definitely be in for a treat. During their live concerts they most often bring in a drummer as well to cover the beats.
I had to circle back because i really liked your reaction . out of all the reaction videos i 've watched yours here is by far the best one i ever saw. i found a R V for the first time 5 or 6 years ago and thought it was a great idea. then there were more and more . then everybody seemed to be doing it. long story short ,you really did hear this for the very first time. i can feel your joy and the shock wave you had. i question if a lot of other reactors have heard the songs before. but not you. it was a real,,, reaction hearing for the first time. thanks little brother. will be coming back to this one for years to come.
Just found you a few days ago and have been wondering if you'd heard of them and so pleased to get to see your reaction. I love your passion for music and watching you enjoy it to the fullest. If you like metal alternative and haven't heard of them, Pusifer is great, I would recommend The River, The Cure and The Mission(M is for Milla mix), and yes it does feature Milla Jovovich. I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO DAMN LONG!!!!!!
Their cover of Mumford & Sons "I Will Wait" is beautiful. The location is Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, absolutely stunning.
OH! your reactions always make my heart happy. You have such joy and it is almost tangible. Thanks for another great reaction! Enjoy the journey
I'm smiling already. I can't wait to see your reaction. 😊
Dude, I'm 64 years old!! I love AC/DC,loved Thunderstruck, heard it by these guys, mind you, not a cello fan, (except for the theme song of "Angel" (an American TV show), but these guys blew me away!! Good stuff!!
Ah it was awesome!!!
I'm approx same age and love ac/dc (acka-dacka is Aussie slang for them) found these guys by accident couple months ago. Mind is blown how amazing they are! 🥰
2cellos is a deep rabbit hole that I live in. So many of their songs are beyond words. They have been a top 5 of mine for ten years. So happy you found them. I love your reactions. Just makes me smile. Thank you :)
Your reaction is the most delightfully pure reaction I've ever seen lol it made me laugh and smile. This is great!
❤️❤️
Subscribed. You're laugh is infectious!
If you want to see them live be quick.. They are about to do their last ever tour of the UK, and tickets are on sale now.
Love your shock and excitement!
Their live show is even more amazing, they have electric cellos and a drummer. Check out "The Trooper Overture" live at Arena di Verona
Saw them live maybe seven years ago and got them to sign something for me I still have it. They are on tour now for the last time in a while go now
I will never get tired of watching people react to this, and yours is one of the best! Also, side note, please check out Voiceplay's new song, Dream On (Aerosmith cover)

😂 that was such a great reaction! I love these guys! Anything they do is great!
🤘🤘🤘🤘❤️
I love it when my PTX reactors find other groups I also love watching reactions to 😁 Definitely check out the Iron Maiden song Trooper Overture...Mashup of William Tell Overture (Lone Ranger song) and The Trooper (Iron Maiden) Its even more 🤯 than this. Also check out Smells Like Teen Spirit live at Sydney Opera House...drum solo at beginning is sick as hell! Enjoy 😉
2Cellos are awesome! Gonna see them TOMORROW live for the 2nd time. Can't wait 🤩. Loved your comments. And yes, it's real, also in live shows.
I love how their bows are absolutely SHREDDED at the end.
You should check out the piano guys too! Definitely not as intense, but they have a beautiful cover of o come o come Emmanuel
😂😂
Oh yeah? Okay happy to ❤️❤️
I love all your reactions, but being a huge fan of Two Cellos, gotta say for me, this is the best yet and I'm sooo glad you found them.
I come from a classical and Opera background.
Once you hear that first bow screech, you know this will be something memorable ✨️
Ah this is going to be such a fun rabbit hole to explore! ❤️❤️
My favorite from them is the official video for the Trooper Overture. William Tell meets Iron Maiden's The Trooper. You'll love it!
Watching them perform live is incredible. They go through bows like mad!
These guys are so talented and I love watching them, they always seem to bring new life into the songs they do. also should check out their video of The Show must go On
Oh you found them..heard them a few years ago, amazeballs 💜💜
I'm so happy you finally got the chance to check this one out. These guys are insane.
I vote for their cover of Smooth Criminal next.
Another insane talent to check out is Peter Hollens. Him and Lindsey Stirling did a Star Wars medley together using only his voice and her violin. It is crazy and a lot of fun as well.
Speaking of Lindsey Stirling you should check out some of her newer stuff like Artemis, Til the Light Goes Out or Underground.
So much more to still check out! 😂❤️
yes smooth criminal!
I agree on Smooth Criminal and I'd like to add a vote for thei Game of Thrones medley, filmed in their homeland, on actual GoT filming locations.
Great reaction - loved how they really surprised you!
These guys are so talented, my first contact with them was with their cover of a Nirvana song.
Pls react to Lindsey Stirling - Shatter Me or Roundtable Rival, she was the violinist in the music video "Radioactive" by Pentatonix
I second this. Lindsey Stirling is very good.
Okay! Happy to ❤️❤️
My favorite Lindsey Stirling is Shadows.
*Trippy video!*
🤯
Your reaction mirrors my first reaction. Thunderstruck was first 2CELLOS performance I saw too. You are definitely going down the 2CELLOS rabbit hole. Enjoy!!! They just performed in Vegas last night. Their final tour. 😭
Noooo! Final? What do you mean final?! Like Daft Punk final? No!!
@@BJBee Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, who reunited after a break earlier this year on the 10th anniversary since the forming 2Cellos, will end The Dedicated Tour, which will be their last, at Auckland's Spark Arena on Sunday December 4, 2022.- Croatia Week Nov 9, 2021
Now THIS is how you play "classical" music 🤘😂🤘
🤣
Or their version of Vivaldi's Summer that they rename Storm.

saw them live in Zagreb.....it was insane
Nothing better than Thunderstruck live. Check out the concert in Rome. Every time I see them live it is just breathtaking.

They are AMAZING...sering them in Nov in Perth Australia....cant wait.
Have their cds and play them on long trips...😂😂😂😂
❤️❤️❤️
My son heard them in CO playing at an outdoor amphitheater. Said is was an incredible experience. I have been watching them since they were 14 on AGT or one of those talent shows. Loved when they played Highway To Hell with Steve Vai in a music store. This was back in 2013. It was also awesome to see them play with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) Dream On and Walk This Way. To bad they don't go on tour anymore!
The next one should be 2 Cellos: Highway to Hell (feat. Steve Vai)
I so enjoyed you watching and hearing these guys for the first time. They are astonishing !!. I saw them live at outdoor concert. They are genius
Yep, you absolutely can get that sound out of a cello. Everything you hear in this is made entirely by those two guys and their cellos.
Much of it is made on their carbon fiber / leucite electric cellos. You can't get those sounds from an acoustic cello.

Saw them live. Best musical experience of my life. These guys are brilliant!
Can confirm, they are absolutely insane live!
Seeing your first reaction reminded me of mine. The joy!
Voiceplay recently released their cover of Areosmith "Dream On".
These guys are awesome. They get wild. Battle of the Cellos.
I love their Game of Thrones stuff. Oh man, can’t wait for you to dive into the Lindsey Stirling wormhole lol
Payton Parrish does amazing metal Disney covers and viking chants and has been doing some original stuff lately. Kaleo is amazing and has performed in volcanoes, as well as other extreme locations, would start with No Good with them. My favorite artist is Matt Maeson, Hallucinogenics and Cringe is the top faves of fans, love those songs too, but Feel Good is my favorite. Love you looking forward to more videos!
Guys, we need to introduce him to The Piano Guys! May I recommend Cello Wars (Star Wars Parody) Lightsaber Duel
I have them live. They are that good. My kids were in cello camp, and they hot to meet them in person. Very personable people.
You should see their live performance of Smells like Teen Spirit. I love it.
Always heart eyes for the drummer lmao!
The look on your face!! I love it!! But my reaction was the exact same the first time I watched their video. I love you!! 🤣
They are amazing. You don't need to be into heavy metal to appreciate the sheer musicality of these men. Try Nirvana, Smells Like Teen Spitit. You'll love it. Incredible talent and kinda hot too. Enjoy. I know you will.
Reacted the same way the first time I saw them.... & I was hooked!! 🎉🎉😂
I love your reaction! They do a great job. For something different, watch Steve n Seagulls version. Same song, done Bluegrass style.
I was actually going to recommend this for you!! ❤
They are incredible live. I just went to see them in concert in March. They blew the roof off!

I've seen a bunch of other people react to this video, and you're the only one to comment on my favorite part, the kids in the audience getting totally into it while the adults near them are all baffled by it.
The guy on the left is called HAUSER. and he does a KILLER cover of WICKED GAME! The Red Dress version will blow your mind!🤣
❤️🤘
Love this video. Your reaction was awesome. Thx for sharing.

Not a streamer. I just love the song you pick. The passion you play with.the video. Love to hear more.
Seriously, if you don’t get goosebumps when the first cello slap comes to simulate drums…
2CELLOS are INSANE. Glad you heard them.
Also I think it is possible to get those sounds out of the strings in general if you put the right vibration into that.
For your next 2Cellos reaction, let me to suggest their collab with guitar great Steve Vai on "Highway To Hell". It is fantastic!
They are fantastic live! They’re touring right now....might want to see if they’re going to be in your area.
These guys are absolute magic! Edit: Your reaction to this was priceless! Next song? Take your pick.
