The beginning piece is actually Vivaldi Cello Sonata in E minor, 2nd movement RV 40 😂
I freaking knew it!!!!!!!!!!
@@OldSkuleNerd no you didn't. you thought it it was Chopin!!
@@OldSkuleNerd Had to be said :)
No I knew someone would correct me in the comments!!!
@@OldSkuleNerd I know. I'm just in a super silly mood today.
Can’t be that hard to play cello?!? There are seventeen ways you can go wrong before you even make a single note! These guys are genius.
Scientifically speaking a Cello is closest to a human voice and that's why we like it so much.
I did not know that; I'll have to look into that a bit. Thanks for that interesting tidbit!
I absolutely love the transition between classical and rock on their songs
HELL YES! These guys do an AMAZING cover/mash up of the WIlliam Tell Overture which segues in The Trooper. Definitely check it out. Song title is The Trooper Overture.
The Trooper Overture is my personal favorite 2Cellos song.
Yep. Love this one but the trooper is audio bliss.
Sweet Child’s transition is great too
EVERYONE hits the "THUNDER!" lines. EVERYONE.
I seriously love the cello. My babysitter played. I used to love to listen to her.😊
They are absolutely worth seeing live. The energy seen in this video matches what you get at one of their concerts.
YES! Watched this countless times - never gets old, so good! Glad you enjoyed it too!
OMG - I didn't notice I added the H to Cello YIKES!
At least you didn't "Wheeler" it!
Their live show is fantastic. I can’t wait for them to come back to Texas.
Every time I see this video I am struck by an overwhelming desire to see Angus and Brian react to this video.
I've watched many of their videos and love all of them. From one vet to another, much love bro.
No, you wouldn't get a copyright claim on Mozart's music. His compositions are in the public domain.
Edit: Well maybe from the performer, but not from Mozart's relatives.
Their live stuff is amazing! If you want a laugh, check out the official video of 2 Cellos and Ling Ling doing "live and let die" and also 2 cellos on 1 cello "every teardrop is a waterfall"
Last time I was this early, Phones still had cords and hung on a wall :)
Our phones still have cords, for charging.
and dialing required dialing
@@MarkoDash I might be dating myself but are you referring to literal dialing on a rotary phone or just pressing buttons?
One of my favorite things about this video is how much fun the two guys are clearly having.
Edit: I'd buy that shirt!
Seen them live in concert. They are phenomenal!!
This always reminds me of Marty McFly at the end of Back to the Future. The only thing missing is one of the saying maybe you aren't ready for this, but your great great grandchildren will love it.
Props to your string instrument knowledge. Most reactors no clue.
I remember years ago seeing a video of two cellos playing Smooth Criminal and while I am not sure it was this duo it was amazing. Definitely cool to see this too! Love it
Yes, it was, it was their breakout hit :)
The video of them playing Smooth Criminal was the song that made them famous. They joke in interviews saying that they uploaded it, went to the toilet, came back and it all of a sudden had a million hits.
Well Da--yam. I love these boys. And you never know what they will come up with.
I saw them open for Elton John a few years ago, they were incredible.
Haha snap... Thats where I saw them too, and they have a presence on stage thats so engaging
Few years ago!? That was like 8 years ago! 😁
7:44 I got to see these guys live in concert. They were INCREDIBLE. They shredded SOOOO many bows. They had stacks of bows all ready right by them so they could quickly replace them. I found that amusing.
I play the cello and what you said about the composers music they played at the start... They wrote that themselves. I actually happened to meet them on tour once
They are awesome. Their cover of The Trooper is pure fucking awesome. Stay well mate.
There are some great string covers of Metal. Apocalyptica covering Metallica's One is epic. Also anything by Tina Guo, the electric cellist who played in the Wonder Woman theme - you should check out her video for the Wonder Woman Theme. Tina Guo also does a lot of other great stuff you'd probably recognize - the Dragonborn theme from Skyrim for example. Cheers!
She also played sweedish pagans with Sabaton live at wakken.
Wow, I'll be sure to check her out. Thanks for that!
You should react to their video for The Trooper\William Tell Overture. It's fantastic
Their version of Iron Maiden's The Trooper totally rocks too !
2cellos and The Piano Guys got me into learning cello/viola. Check out Piano Guys Jackson 5 meets Bach. another of my favorites of theirs is This is Your Fight Song. so good.
2 cellos is amazing! But just imagine how much more epic is 4 cellos playing heavy metal? Can't wait for you to check out the SuperChat for Apocalyptica (who started as a Metallica cover band) playing their metal songs with 4 cellos and 1 set of Drums. Are you ready for that?
Please have him start with either their version of One or Orion! I am tempted to drop a request as well🤘😊🤘
@@Socrates_1775 I already requested their original song Somewhere Around Nothing, but someone should ask some Metallica covers for sure.
@@wine.knight awesome! We'll see where it goes 🤘😁🤘
I probably should've read the comments before commenting myself. I just posted a request for One.
Apocalyptica has even performed live with James Hetfield as vocalist and played with Metallica . They had concert in SF in 2011 , clips are on YT :-)
I used to listen to 2 cellos with my mom when I was younger
Gotta do their version of The Trooper.. That video is sick..
Yooo, my homeboys (I'm Croatian)! My personal rec is their beethoven/whole lotta love piece, not a lot of people have checked that one out!
I nasli se mi tako tu od svih mjesta :D
@@who.am.i.3168 malo nas je, al nas ima svuda :D
2cellos Purple Haze!
They toured with Elton John as a opening act. There’s a interview with him on 2Cello’s UA-cam site.
8:08 The girl in red ! Having the fun of her life 😅😅😅
They play Arenas, you should check out some of their live stuff.
My favorite one is "Voodoo people". :)
You might like Apocalyptica. I'd suggest checking out their version of One.
If you are jumping into 2cello's you need to hit up Trooper Overture
These guys along with The Piano Guys do some amazing work!
Great reaction to this epic performance. You should also check out their version of The Trooper- Amazing!
Your pretentious clap at the beginning had me 💀 hahahaha
This was fun ... I have only ever seen live versions of this. The opera crowd was a nice touch in the MV.
The audience reaction was almost as funny as the guys playing.
Just subscribed! You’re awesome man
I think shredding came from playing so ferociously and fast with such long and fast paced solos that you'd cut your finger tips up, shredding them and getting cuts on a guitar.
If you listen to how they actually play, they are not just doing the instrument talk, they actually play the lyrics as well
One Veteran to another, since you are a vet, I'll subscribe.
Rest assured... Vivaldi was a priest. No copyright from any surviving relatives (that we know of) for that Cello Sonata. ;P
Even if it WAS a Mozart piece at the beginning, his 2 surviving sons (out of 6 children) died single.
Beethoven? Died a virgin, and estranged from his family.
your love for this video made me remember a old favorite of mine, from AGT.
Nuttin But Stringz
You should hear this battle on bagpipes. Lol the facial expressions are great. Lmao
Red Hot Chilli Pipers!!!🌶️🎶🏴 They're here on UA-cam. 🙂
Yay, you got it up.
They toured with Elton John at one point
Do a reaction to Eye of The Tiger by 2CELLOS please 🥺🥺🥺
Both of them had solid careers doing straight classical music, and were considered rivals. A producer put them together to do a cello duel (to a Michael Jackson song), and they realized they were onto a great thing. Too bad they aren't doing more together.
they have had four (at least) solid years of touring through the world on their own and before that opening for Elton John and recording five albums. Luca is now a three-time father and covid has thrown a wrench in their touring plans. Both - Luca and Stjepan - are still pursuing solo careers and collaborations with other artists and also do classical concerts in between.
Hey, anyone who can't tell the Hood from the Prince of Wales!.... Everyone forgets that the Hood was firing at the Prinz Eugan specifically because those two German ships looked very similar from a distance, and that they had reversed order in their line from when they had been seen the night before (because the Bismarck had damaged her own radar firing at the Norfolk.) Glad to be the naval nerd who is enjoying what you're going through! ;-)
I love 2 Cellos, and this one if just fun as hell! Now check out PTX doing Bohemian Rhapsody if you like these cross-genre gems!
its bad enough I get blasted on the Bismarck reaction for the Hood... but you brought that shit to a totally different video?!?..... DAMN MAN THAT IS HARSH LOL 😋😋😋😋🤘🤘
@@OldSkuleNerd Admiral Holland to his Gunnery Officer - "NO, I meant the OTHER one!'
Hey, you're the one that brought it up, but glad to be of service. ;-)
What I find a lot about everybody else his reaction is they never point out the bows are actually getting destroyed you know they had to go through several of these and these things are not fucking cheap they cost a couple hundred dollars also the resin that you have to put on them while not very expensive they had to go through a lot just so it wouldn’t shred so many
This is fun.
They can play it live, but not like this if there's only 2 of them. It's pretty easy to tell that there are at least 3 cellos involved fairly early. But you can only do so much. 🤣
These guys and Apocalyptica great celloist
Sabaton - Swedish Pagans with Tina Guo next?
If you like 2cello's playing AC/DC, then you should check out The Danish National Symphony Orchestra playing the theme music to "The Good The Bad And The Ugly"... They're awesome, and they shred too...lol!
Nice one OSN, like several people have already mentioned you should check out Apocalyptica. They actually toured with Sabaton on the Great War Tour and collaborated in several songs. Fields of Verdun, Angels Calling etc, worth checking out.
Keep them coming.
Abraço de Portugal
@Hauser ♪ Love the energy you guys bring with your music, great job
You really should check out Smooth Criminal
I think you should misspell THE HOOD on the t-shirt, just to piss of correctors.. Hahaha 😀
apparently they go through about 5 sets of bowstrings in a concert.
saw this i middle of my dnd game need to like a comment before i back to playing on words to wood of sharp teeth
Not sure if you hear about Tina S Cover Ludwig van Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata ( 3rd Movement ) on electric guitar, i think you will love it. :)
You have to see their live version of smooth criminal at Suntory hall Tokyo.
your copywrite notice stops it from getting blocked, so just play it in full.
Should check out their cover of "Whole Lotta Love" By led zep. starts similar. And it is super awesome.
You should check out Beyond Creation Omnipresent! The bassist at the time (Forest) used a frettless bass. He was straight virtuosic.
Love your reaction! You need to check out Luca Stricagnoli, perhaps his cover of Thunderstruck. He's secretly an alien sent to earth to teach humans how to actually play guitar!
🤘🎻
Hmm, now I need to find the Bismarck video so I can comment "That's not the Hood!"
4:22 - Celloton
if you love this try vivaldis winter by dark moor ! you will flip out and definitively realise metal and hard rock are made for classic and classic can easily played like metal ! btw love your vids man
Hahaha, the bow just made it through the song. 😂😂😂😂Leo also has a pretty good cover of Thunderstruck 😀👍
Cello is definitely a challenge that can be fun! It has great potential to be soulful or haunting, or playful.
Also, I doubt you're a true a-hole. I see a compassionate heart, playful parent, and supportive friend.
You served? I was in the Navy and I have that shirt.
You should try "Yuve Yuve Yu" or "Wolf Totem" by The Hu
They don't use real horse hair for the bows anymore. I know this because I made the mistake of posting a generic "X horses gave up their tails for this performance" comment on their video, which got upvotes, which then got me corrected repeatedly.
Kind of like misidentifying the classical composer from the beginning of this video. 😁
EDIT: Also, that wasn't HMS Hood. 🤣🤣🤣
this isn't true. horse hair is still very commonly used in bows. My bows have horse hair. Horse hair is also very common in artist's paint brushes. And while kinda funny, its just hair and their tails do grow the hair back. they probably don't even take the entire tail. might be something that is just a byproduct of routine brushing. A well groomed horse gets brushed every day. Like humans, their hair comes out in the brushes.
Check out Steve Vai "Teeth of the Hydra"!!!
Denis Learys I'm an asshole used to be my ringtone lol.
OldSkuleNerd did you know that that was not the Hood (spelling correctly?) And yes that would be an amazing tshirt. Or Yes I am human, I do make mistakes. Keep up the great work.
Actually, the bow won't make a sound unless the musician applies rosin to their bow. It's dried tree sap that comes in a cake. These guys are pretty violent with their bows but I think some of the broken bow hairs are part of the drama. I've played many a two hour concerts with maybe one or two broken hairs.
side note i think per concert they do/did they use a total of over 10 bows per show. someone correct me if i am wrong.
These guys played with Elton John
So glad it got unblocked. You should definitely do 2 Cellos cover of The Trooper by Iron Maiden
I don't think you can get copy right strike from classical music, it falls under public domain, but don't quote me on that.
Wait till you see 12 girls band carnival
Oh My God Dood.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Another fun ligthearted video i can recommend for you is wax audios mashup Thunder Busters. that one really works
Whats more awesome to me is. These are fret-less instruments. Makes my guitar playing skills look like a child banging a plastic tub. lol
You should see the Scottish guy that plays Thunderstruck on his Bagpipes..
Very amazing performance. Apocalyptica vibes incoming. Do you know their Metallica tribute album played by four cellos?
if you like this one you will for definite like highway to hell ft steve vie
They are playing in the Elton John Band.

@@dragodrazenovic1064 "were" then
@@dirkboing4219 My English is bad but you understood what I meant. They stopped playing with Elton John Band about 8 years ago, maybe more.
@@dragodrazenovic1064 I know what you meant. All good!
hey OSN it wasn't the hoo .... oops wrong Sabaton comment.. Have you heard Swedish Pagans live at Wacken (Feut Tina Guo) .. since you like the sound of Cellos so much...
Dude you gotta check out Break of Reality doing their Tool cover live. That is amazing!
I recommend seeing enter sandman cover by mozart :-)
Great Reaction! I would recommend: Estas Tonne - The Song of the Golden Dragon. You could probably find it by searching "Jesus playing the guitar".
