Nicely done but what is missing like many packing videos is the weight of each bag when full.
I should I have posted that! It was under 8kg/17lbs for a flight on Lufthansa.
I'd put that adaptor into my personal bag. Sometimes airlines ask/tell people to check their carryons, so put all the super "need" stuff into your personal. Excellent video, thank you!!!
That's probably a good idea! Since I carry a charger in my personal item I haven't really worried about the adaptor.

I spent 2 weeks in Europe this spring, carry-on only. My packing was similar to yours, but I reversed the ratio of pj's to bras. I took 1 nightgown ( laundry done ) and 4 bras. I'll be returning for another 3 weeks very soon, but I'll be checking my carry-on. It's just easier.
I always worry they will lose my bags and that's why I do carry-on only. I'm less worried on the flight home and will check my bag then sometimes.
@50andFeistywithTraci I usually carry on, but this transatlantic flight is direct, and my checked bag is free. When you travel alone, maintaining contact with your belongings at the airport is difficult. You can't ask someone to watch your suitcase while you visit the restroom or get food. It's just easier to check the bag.
Great to show people this is doable. We did one month in Ireland/Scotland in the spring using only carry ons. One opportunity missed in your video...put things in your shoes, that's wasted space if you don't.

Good job! We went to Italy for 3wks late April into May this year. We traveled within Italy from north to way south. The challenge was also was to have clothing for warm weather & cooler. I had pants that were light weight & pair of jeans. To keep warm I took a base layer (long under pants/shirt) they don’t take up much room at all. Also took a merino wool cardigan. I got a cheaper vest on Amazon with 6 pockets & took an all weather jacket. 2 pairs of sneakers & 1 pair sandals. I only took a hairdryer brush & no curling iron because the last time I took one I never took the time to curl my hair. For toiletries I took my skin care in smaller containers & I just purchased other toiletries at the pharmacia. The airport in Rome has everything too. I will say taking a big suitcase to Italy is a challenge unless you are driven right to the front door of your accommodations. Lots of uphill cobblestone streets. We also had a washer in each accommodation & were able to do laundry ( I took laundry sheets & color catchers). You definitely have to be strategic when packing 😂

Save space - sleep nude! I take one cotton caftan that I also wear for lounging at the hotel and also as a coverup.

Have you seen the Humangear Stax? 4 containers in different sizes. They screw together and have a little handle. 4 Staxs will fit in the TSA bag. I fill them with liquids and creams but also non liquids like ear plugs, pills, hair ties, jewelry, etc. They are slim and sit on the counter. You have everything together in not much space. Label them, and you can see everything. No more scatter/digging.

It did fit under the seat which is why I chose this one. It's my go to personal item.
@@50andFeistywithTraci We're flying Air Canada and it says 6" deep, which is tiny! My bag is deeper, but many UA-camrs recommended it so fingers crossed. Yours looks so thick!
I agree with the comment that said you should only pack 1 set of PJs. You are missing a rain jacket that fits over your down jacket. I also pack a cross body cloth bag to use when going to the market. Also, I pack a water bottle.
My black rain jacket does fit over the down jacket! And I prefer more than 1 set of PJs but everyone is a little different.

I spent 30 days in Europe this summer with a backpack only. Had 3 pants,4tops,no toiletries bought them there, sandals,gym shoes,sweater 2 dresses rain coat everything was just under 20 pounds. Lots of sink laundry and a few laundry mats.

I know the owner of that company through Facebook he has standard poodles and so do I. He’s such a narcissist I can’t stand his personality, so I hope there’s another option for a travel vest.

Hi. We're leaving in 2 weeks for Italy - two cruises and 10 days of touring. I didn't see you bring anything that could sub for "fancy" .... dress? shoes?
I only bring fancy clothes if I know I'll need it. On a cruise you will probably need it! My go to is a black skirt, black top, printed silk scarf for color, dressy earrings and necklace. I personally would bring a nice flat strappy pair of sandals or a ballet flat that could also be worn at other times. If you don't like black, do navy blue or cream. With this combo, you can wear the pieces separately at other times. If you need something fancier than that you might have to swap out other items to get it into the carry on.
We're leaving this coming week for a similar trip. I'm including one fancy skirt with a black blouse and one casual skirt with a black sweater. All of those pieces can be mixed and matched with other things I'm bringing too. Enjoy your trip!

I just bought that carryon and now I am nervous that it is too small. I definitely like to take more than than in my suitcase. And I will be in Spain in November so I will definitely need warmer stuff!

Do you need a power adapter for the curling iron? I hear you do unless it's a dual voltage, but I don't know if that's just for England or all Europe

I found one on Amazon with 6 pockets for $40 ish dollars & worked out great. The Scottie vest is probably nicer & has more pockets if you want to pay $$.

This packing video is perfect for Italy. Check the weather the week before you leave for your exact destinations. You may not need the light weight down jacket, but you can swap it out for another light layer like a thin sweater. Italians typically dress up a little more so something nice to wear out to dinner or a dress is also a good idea.

I have not had success with Downy de-wrinkle. I wonder if it’s user error or the particular fabrics I choose.
It worked on my clothes. Maybe you didn't use enough? I used it on my cotton and tencel button up shirts the most. It was super handy. Test it out on something at home.
I suspect the packed clothes & items are over 7 kg whi his the usual carryon allowance!
They were both light enough for Lufthansa! Under 17lbs/8kg for the carry on.

@lackingincreativity yes, they are getting more stringent these days. I think they are trying to discourage folks from doing carry on only by doing so. Gotta make money somehow. Haha
@@lackingincreativityIt is, as of Sept 1st on all European Union carriers and, I think, maybe on one or two US domestic carriers. We're flying TAP Portugal, and the weight restriction for carry on is 22 lbs, with only 4 lbs allowed for the personal item. Yikes! Check your carrier's baggage policy to be sure.

You can definitely add those if you need them. Anything you think you might need during flight should be in your personal item bag. Everything else can be packed in the carry-on.
You don't pack anything inside your shoes? I'm only 2 min in, so I hope you stuff something in them LOL. I'm concerned about the weight--compression cubes can be misleading because you can jam a lot in and make it too heavy. I'm surprised with 1 bra only
I personally don't pack inside my shoes unless I'm running out of space. But I know it's a hack that comes in handy sometimes.
