I know this sounds crazy but I fill up old milk jugs after rinsing with vinegar for washing up . I even use my laundry detergent containers with spouts and make handwashing or even wash your body off station.

This is great, I love your calm delivery! I’ve become sort of a prepper years ago (pre-Covid) after a prolonged power outage. The time to prepare is long before whatever event happens! When COVID hit, I was prepared. So this isn’t just about potential issues surrounding the election, but ANY unpredictable emergency situation because the situation moves quickly. Your list is on point as for basic essentials. For me, what I worry about is power outages and possible cyber attacks, so with winter coming, I’d add to make sure you have warm blankets, a camp stove or some way to heat up food, make sure all portable chargers are charged, flashlights, batteries, candles, etc, too. Also, there needs to be some sort of family communication plan (other than cell phones) for family members to get to safety.

Some of these comments are so mean, just by having extra items on hand is not fear mongering, i appreciate videos like this, my pantry will also have shelve stable items ready to be used if I’m in a financial pinch, weather disaster, or any other uncertainty that might come along, nothing wrong with being prepared ❤ thank you

Well, I know not all people can do this but I have been paying in advance for most of my every month bills so as when the computer, phone, or no postal service my bills are PREPAID sometimes a month in advance and sometimes several months ahead then I do not have to worry about my ATM or checking account being frozen. There is comfort in doing without so I can PREPAY and have the receipts, but who ever does that or can afford that, not many. For example, my insurances, my credit cards, etc. but to know that IF I CAN NOT PAY THE CURRENT I have PREPAID, and next month when the account shows I have a credit great, and if I have the extra then I will prepay again. Always ONE STEP AHEAD of not having to worry. I also have extra items for bartering IF THAT NEEDS to be. I have a weapons all throughout my house incase my home is broken into. Example, HUGE ASS KNIVES throughout the house, sprays like Raid, fog horns, tools from fireplace made of heavy metal like a poker, and other painful weapons. I have several walking canes in rooms I might be in. Pepper spray, I fill some empty bottles with water and some not and placed near entry so I can hear at night. It would be 20 bottles that would make it just not worth it to for intruders that have to climb over boxes that are too heavy to move. All to anoy and prevent them from entering more as they GET THE POINT , as it is not worth it and move on to another location. My cars have dead batteries so don't worry about thief taking them and it helps to have your car so dirty so you can even see into the car. So for me, PREVENT AND PROTECT MY HOME AND MY LIFE BEST I CAN and I am ready.

Although I really do appreciate your tips and your encouragement for people to be prepared, I do not fear the shtf scenarios. You may be asking yourself why. Well, part of it is probably because I am 70 years old and I have lived a very good life and if it ended today I would not be disappointed one bit. But mostly it's because I have always believed that people are either slaves or prisoners or both because no one was consulted before being thrown into this thing called life on earth. So therefore, we have no allegiance to anyone or anything and it is a cruel joke that people have this driving urge to stay alive when we have very little control over most of life anyway. A wise man once said that a good way to live this life is to "do the best you can and don't take life too serious." That is exactly what I do. Have a nice day.😊

But if you watch people who have lived through devastation of a natural disaster be a tornado or hurricane or whatever, they will all tell you that 1 gallon per person per day was absolutely not enough. You cannot store enough water. Get as much as you possibly can on hand! You will not be sorry.

I'll just take a car engine and build a water wheel. I'll have hydroelectric. I know how to make gunpowder, aka the old stuff black powder. I have a smoker I can grow my own garden and harvest animals for food. An I can make items from the raw materials from those animals. But all in all I think it's good to be prepared at the end of the day we hope for the best expect the worst. I just think there's a lot of misinformation going around between both political parties, and both of them I blame of causing Division and hate and spreading fear. I just hope whoever is in office doesn't take my right and ability away to be able to have my hormones and procedure and just existing.
