In their defense, weather is one of the biggest crowd killers. Being outside and stationary in 52° weather on a windy day that made it feel like 48° for 5-6 hours straight is really taxing. Weather and time are the biggest crowd killers

They should never go back to Philadelphia for a big event, they ruined two back 2 back Royal Rumbles by booing everyone who wasn’t Daniel Bryan out of the building and now they ruined Wrestlemania by being completely dead throughout the entire show.🤦♂️

I didn’t really care about the stage because we’re not gonna be watching the stage unless it’s entrances so the staged didn’t really bother me. It was the Jimmy and Jay match for me.
I know it has mixed reviews but I had a lot of fun with night 1 and never really found myself bored

The Main Event Tag Team Match was ABSOLUTELY EPIC, it was slow at the start but 20 minutes later it picked up. Gunther losing was a shock to me because I thought the end game was Chad Gable but they went with Sami which is amazing. What a moment for him
Amazing !!???? It was Shit Record setting title reign ended like this in a match with ass build up and against someone who doesn't have much momentum. Might as well made Gunther drop it at a house show.
Even if they wanted to go with Sami they should have atleast build it. They build a better story with Gabel then gave it Sami. And people are supporting it instead of turning on Sami

The first 3 matches were a lot of fun, and then we got Jimmy VS Jey and it just kinda died down after that until Sami Vs Gunther…..

I felt really bad for the Usos! WWE ruined their dream match got ruined by a short ass match and just bunch of super kicks. Hopefully they have a rematch at Backlash and this time they will have a stipulation.

Its the usos fault because they didn't try anything else. If Jimmy and Jey threw some random ass move outside their arsenal the match would have been great.
WWE absolutely failed on the creative / storyline side of things which for this feud was most important. There was little heat to it because of that. But this match is totally on the Usos. All they did was hit a bunch of super kicks, hit a couple of splashes, and one spear. I know the Usos in general do a lot of super kicks but it was absolutely overboard here. They got their wish to face each other and absolutely stunk it up. This felt like a TV match which is pathetic. The finish was out of nowhere too and when Jey got the pinfall, I was like "Wait, really?! That's it?" I wish the match was mid but it wasn't. It was genuinely bad.

Btw for people who don't know, the "Mark" guy The Great One uses who's originally the "WoW Guy" from South Park is a real person. He worked for Blizzard and on WoW and is the father of Thor (not his real name but his middle name and that's just what he goes by) who's a gaming developer and former hacker and now runs his idle game company "Pirate Software" where they're mostly known for their game "Heartbound"

I will say this, Gunter is the best talent this generation. The match with Sami is how you sell people on wrestling, one underdog, one arrogant bad guy. Both were elevated and I want to see Gunter going for the world title now.

I feel like Priest’s cash-in is taking place at Backlash as a scheduled match since it’s supposed to be in Puerto Rico again and he’s go over heavy in front of that crowd.

The stage and blacking out the whole crowd really let down the wrestlemania feel for me, felt like a live show. There were 72k people and you could barely see anyone.

I was so disappointed with the Usos match. Like I get the Usos don't have the most amount of moves, but it seriously could've been more than a summarization of what the Young Bucks can do.
Edit: Also the Sami vs Gunther match was a damn classic.

I want that ladder match for both titles to be a yearly thing at Mania. Put both brands titles on the line, three teams from Raw and three from SD go at it with the potential of switching brands if a team from one brand wins the other brands titles. If course the brand split actually has to mean something so once they get that down pat, I want this ladder match to be a yearly thing at mania.

WWE did Jey vs Jimmy dirty we all know how good they both are in ring they both can give a classic and they have best chemistry too but for some kind of stupid reason they made this a super klick fest.
The Sami vs Gunther was most surprising to me i was on the edge of my chair the whole time and result was really surprising i was like " What the F... just happened"
and other matches were good also pretty good Night 1.

I wish Jimmy and Jey had more heat (they beat each other until they're bloody) and hug at the end. Hate to say it but AEW did much better with Cody vs Dustin.
Honestly Rey and Andrade vs Santos and Dominik was my favorite match of the night by far.
Rhea vs Becky was great
Sami vs Gunther was great (and people keep saying Sami had no offense and just got beat up all match and then won with two moves-Gunther was fucking welting and bleeding) though I expected Gunther to win and lose to Ilja later this year
A-Town Down Under winning the tag titles got an unexpected pop out of me, we predicted both winners of the match and I still jumped up when Waller grabbed the belts so that was a cool moment that absolutely should have been given at least some music or some zoom ins on the other wrestlers being shocked or whatever
Everything was fine, nothing was BAD, though the Usos was pretty weak.
The crowd was so quiet all night, the ringside sponsors were absolutely distracting, there were SO many technical errors with the presentation-music not hitting, video feed glitches, backgrounds not changing, cues feeling off.
More backstage segments would have been nice, it felt like it was just a few matches with commercials between them. Charolette was there and had a backstage moment with Rhea on UA-cam, why not have them have a moment in kayfabe too, have that be the passing of the torch moment? Sami’s backstage bit was incredible, have Cody and Sami hype up Jey before his match, have Bayley have an awkward moment with Naomi, Bianca and Jade or something
Idk, it was good but it didn’t feel like Mania all the way. I care way more about more matches in night two though so hopefully it delivers even more

The Stage felt like it was lacking compared to past manias, and the crowd was shit. But the show was amazing in all ways
