Alright, now that I’ve rewatched this multiple times, I should probably give my actual thoughts on the overall booking. I can see ways to get Punk to the title while still making Umaga’s involvement last in the title picture. This booking actually gave me the inspiration to actually carry out your bookings in practice through 2K, and I just might start creating fan-sequels to your bookings, even going as far as to properly stitch together the Austin Heel Turn and Invasion bookings.
This was perfect. Personally I would have brought Edge and Jeff Hardy over because they were WWE's extreme guys of the older days that could bolster ecwwe and save cost if WWE wanted but this booking wouldn't need it.. who would have thought rebooking ecw didn't take much but an actual attempt at investing in it..
Great booking, just one minor thing I would add: Taz has to bring somehow the FTW Championship and give it to Umaga, while still insisting on carrying it himself and retiring it, again, after Umaga beats Van Dam for the title.
I absolutely agree with keeping ECW separated from other WWE programming. And I would go even further. After RVD won the WWE Championship, he would be forced to stay on Raw / Smackdown instead of jumping ship to his actual home ECW. He would get his rematch against John Cena on Raw like 2 weeks before actual ECW starts and before that he gives promos on how pissed he is about not being able to go to ECW and about how unfair the world is etc. In that match they go back and forth for a little while, but Cena is unfaced by anything RvD does and out of frustration RvD rolls out of the ring, blatantly grabs a chair and hits Cena with the Vandamminator right in front of the Ref leading to his disqualification. He then goes on to grab a singapore kane and unleach on Cena and only stops when all the security comes out to stop him dragging him out of the arena without the title. Next week it is announced that Cena suffered injuries from the attack and would be out that week and RvD will face the concequences of his behaviour in an in ring segment. During that segment Vince McMahon himself strippes him from the title and suspended for 30 days or as long as Cena takes to heal. RvD again loses his cool and attacks McMahon with a cane but is stopped after one or two hits so no long term damage is done. Vince gets up and yells his signature "YOURRRREEEE FIRED" - RvD is gone from WWE. One week later ECW starts and Paul Heyman is more than happy to have RvD return to his home granting him a spot in the main event match of the first show in which he wins the ECW title against Rhino. After that we continue as you booked it but with the exception that for the first year not a single WWE star appears on ECW unless that star also leaves Raw and Smackdown. And as a sidenote also no ECW star would shift to main WWE for the first year at least and if somebody would later that guy would be gone from ECW. The two brands are entirely separate from each other.
I got an idea: Dolph Ziggler's Botched US Title Run, where he vacated it right away and was supposedly a favorite to win the Rumble that year but didn't and was...pretty much embarrassed.
Dude, i was searching for your videos across the youtube and i didn't found them. Thanks youtube for recommending me this! Your "how wwe should have booked..." are legendary. I'm so glad i find the channel you upload to.
I was hoping to see what you might've done with Monty Brown in this version but honestly it made me wish we got a smidge of this ECW during their reboot
I started watching ECW in 2006, i was so hyped! Then one day still in 2006, iit wasnt on Syfy anymore and no one even said anything about it, it just wasnt on tv
Adam, you have a career waiting ahead for you in booking my friend. As a wrestling fan for seventeen years- this was everything I didn’t know I wanted. I will be watching many more of these rebooking videos
Funny thing about the comparison to modern NXT to ECW is that before ECW folded Paul Heyman actually knew that the hardcore view was becoming somewhat stale mostly due to the WWE AE and the hardcore division. He actually tried to turn ECW into a more NXT looking wrestling federation but felt that the fans would rebel against it
Next booking ideas- Taz's run in the year 2000, DDP's run in 2001 and Adam's dream booking of Keith lee's Raw debut to the main event of Wrestlemania 37. P.S keep up the good work, before Brock returns and win the title or big show crashes the main event of WrestleMania 37. 😉
Definitely re-book Tazz in 2000 WWF! They flushed him down the roster so fast after his debut that he deserved a lot better! With DDP I always figured we should've gotten the People's Champion of WCW vs the People's Champion of WWF. Imagine full-on superstar main eventer Diamond Dallas Page doing his thing with The Rock.
@@NickMichalak True. It's that what if, you know. The Rock VS DDP for the WWF heavyweight championship or possibly for WCW Championship, (Unlikely) but still that will be quote and quote, "A Perfect Historical Wrestlemania match". As well, Tazz should be the ken shamrock or the dan severn of the WWF with some good booking behind him.
@@MasonCurwen Exactly. If you treat Tazz like a serious competitor you could've had him in knock down, hard hitting matches with one of the best mid-cards in WWF/E history.
Say It To My Face is still my all-time favorite theme song. If Adam books it, I want that shit on full blast in the background. Also, I'd keep him far away from John Cena in a rebooking if you know what I mean. Yeesh.
"in fact, if you want to, you could even keep Mick Foley heel." I do want that. I do, indeed, want that. Have Foley and Edge still win their match, but have Edge turn on Foley anyway because he's bigger than all of this.
This might be my favourite booking Adam’s ever done. WhatCulture or Parts Funknown. It’s probably a combined love of ECW and Blampied but hell this is good.
As a kid I went to a Smackdown show and didnt know they filmed ECW then and was VERY CONFUSED on why I was watching Mark Henry fight Matt Hardy on ECW when I wanted to see Taker on smackdown
What I'd give to see an ECW revival with Adam at the wheel. If WWE had approached the product with even half of the care Adam put into plotting that first year, ECW might still be around today. Nice going.
I was literally about to suggest this and then I got the notification I can’t lie this makes me happy because ecw is my favorite wrestling promotion ever
To kind of fantasy book a future with this brand, imagine if NXT still became a thing (since WWE wants to sign everyone and anyone these days), give them two places to go. ECW or NXT. Philly extreme style wrestling or Florida classic storytelling style wrestling. And you can even do brand warfare between ECW and NXT, do drafts between the two to create a Brand Warfare feel to the developmental brands. It could be interesting to see two different styles clash like that, idk. Paul Heyman and Triple H creatively working on like a yearly ECW vs NXT War Games sounds really fun.
@4:10 Angle stated the entire reason for him walking out was the skit where Raven crucified the Sandman, he was greenlit and excited to work with an extreme atmosphere (aside from tacks, that was a big no for him) but unfortunately he said that segment disgusted him so bad he didnt want his name involved with the company
Kurt angle should have kown what kind of binsenss ecw were frome the start but what I don't get about ECW 2as why were the fans shocked when sandman got put on the cross
Saw this pop up on my feed, and my reaction as a man with a miserable year under his belt (to everyone else who has had to live through this year, I love you and we all have something to relate to each other with). "Do we actually get this for Christmas (and/or a final late Hanukah gift)?" This at least helps us end the year on a high note by looking back really low note of WWE booking, having Adam crap on it, and then tell us how he would've done it. To quote Tiny Tim, "God bless us everyone."
Man this booking is making me wish that Vince made ECW it's own brand & more importantly, give RVD a longer reign as ECW World Champion. This is why I'm a fan of his.

As someone who’s been watching Adams content since 2015 I always love the call back to the JBL and Blue meanie incident hahaha
Thank you!!! That was incredibly entertaining. Your content is head and shoulders above your competition.
"What a pair of cults"
I absolutely lost it at that. Great video and happy holidays
19:05 the memories
The BX reference was awesome to hear, now we just need another one 👀
This was perfect. Personally I would have brought Edge and Jeff Hardy over because they were WWE's extreme guys of the older days that could bolster ecwwe and save cost if WWE wanted but this booking wouldn't need it.. who would have thought rebooking ecw didn't take much but an actual attempt at investing in it..
Great booking, just one minor thing I would add: Taz has to bring somehow the FTW Championship and give it to Umaga, while still insisting on carrying it himself and retiring it, again, after Umaga beats Van Dam for the title.
Currently in lockdown can’t see my family bedded something like this thxs Adam
Merry Christmas Adam, ive been a fan of yours since you started at WhatCulture. wishing you all the best my friend.
I love that line, "Let me have a go" Blampied is the greatest fantasy booker/wrestling personality on UA-cam
Merry Xmas Adam, I love this series. The Invasion video and Goldberg in WWE were amazing too. Keep up the good work
Merry Christmas to Adam, and all the members of the PFK team!
I hate you. This is so good I hate you for making me realize WWECW could have been so much better.
I got an idea: Dolph Ziggler's Botched US Title Run, where he vacated it right away and was supposedly a favorite to win the Rumble that year but didn't and was...pretty much embarrassed.
Man I wish he would've had a decent world title win
20:35 "and finally Ronald Van Donald Vs The Rhinoceros" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
now i want to see umaga vs sabu imagine the level of carnage
kendo sticks
tables
ladder
flaming swords
Dude, i was searching for your videos across the youtube and i didn't found them. Thanks youtube for recommending me this! Your "how wwe should have booked..." are legendary. I'm so glad i find the channel you upload to.
Adam's Extreeeeeeeeme Counter: 6
you forgot something: 🎸
yw :)
Adam: "Maybe they should change their name to BX."
BWO: "No, I don't think I will."
“It looks like this, you can afford it!”
Hell, it looks like anyone can.
Adam just pitched saving Matt Striker's career.
I want an "EXTREME!" t-shirt with Adam doing air guitar on the front
Adam, you have a career waiting ahead for you in booking my friend. As a wrestling fan for seventeen years- this was everything I didn’t know I wanted. I will be watching many more of these rebooking videos
Funny thing about the comparison to modern NXT to ECW is that before ECW folded Paul Heyman actually knew that the hardcore view was becoming somewhat stale mostly due to the WWE AE and the hardcore division. He actually tried to turn ECW into a more NXT looking wrestling federation but felt that the fans would rebel against it
Just got back into wrestling and picked up What Culture again… I missed this man’s humor and snark. What a magnificent bastard.
@@NickMichalak I agree.
7:02 and now WWE has taken a lawnmower to that rose
THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER! Thank you, Santa Adam!
Note: More like Stan-ta Adam
YES! so glad Adam did a WWE ECW episode, merry Christmas bruh!
"out of the giant pile of sh*t grew one singular rose that is NXT"
well if we have NXT by the end of the year then that'll be a god send
🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡
My favorite one you have done since coming back! Loved the others too but I love when u build a whole world in the booking
This one may not happen
But I'd lose to see you Book Alex Rileys wwe run or his NXT run
Say It To My Face is still my all-time favorite theme song. If Adam books it, I want that shit on full blast in the background. Also, I'd keep him far away from John Cena in a rebooking if you know what I mean. Yeesh.
I would say just do exactly what they were doing, but keep going instead of randomly ending his push.
Seeing this pop up in my notifications this afternoon made my day. Thank you, Adam. We love you!!!!
"in fact, if you want to, you could even keep Mick Foley heel."
I do want that. I do, indeed, want that. Have Foley and Edge still win their match, but have Edge turn on Foley anyway because he's bigger than all of this.
Can someone please tell me why at 13:46 Foley turning face is important if he hardly plays a role in the rest of the booking?
@@shahidnyker2900 I'm assuming to give him a reason to stay in ECW.
Ronald Van Donald vs Rhinoceros made me laugh WAY harder than I should have
As a former BX soldier, I had flashbacks of the bloody war
Thank you for this Adam. Merry Christmas
This might be my favourite booking Adam’s ever done. WhatCulture or Parts Funknown. It’s probably a combined love of ECW and Blampied but hell this is good.
About 3 good things happened this entire terrible year but I can easily say Blampied coming back to UA-cam is one of them. Thanks keep it up
Two Adam videos in one day? This really is christmas
Love you Adam! Merry Christmas! You're the best part of WrestleTalk and this channel as well
In the future, could you try “How Adam would book The Wyatt Family”
They have reunions broken up way too many times
Merry Christmas, lad
Merry Christmas from WrestleTalk to the world, 2 Adam videos in the same day!
From all of your fans, Thank You!
As a kid I went to a Smackdown show and didnt know they filmed ECW then and was VERY CONFUSED on why I was watching Mark Henry fight Matt Hardy on ECW when I wanted to see Taker on smackdown
We love you, Adam. Two bookings for christmas is the best gift I've gotten this year :D
An amazing Christmas gift!
@ 19:13 that bX 4ht wall break, as a LonG time follower that kinda hit me in the feels........JOIN US
I was lucky to be young enough to see this kind of ECW as the "cool brand" when it was going. Big Show's dominant title run was awesome
In retrospect it obviously was a poor attempt to revitalise what it originally was but hey, there's a charm to being young and nieve
This is my favorite UA-cam Wrestling series, never stop booking, Adam
"Maybe they should change their name to BX"
Me- "Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time... a long time."
The bit with the basket of half eaten muffins was hilarious 😅. "Because we're extreme!" Lol
The greatest christmas present of all, thanks Adam
Merry Christmas, Adam. Thanks for posting this beauty of a video.
