I got a Onn today from walmart and I jailbrorke it and I love this device. I bought a firestick off of amazon 2 years ago for my room and I got this device for my living room.

I picked up 3 onn 4k tv boxes at $19.99 dollars at my local Walmart. I use 4k apple tv boxes for streaming but firesticks for 3rd party apps but will try the onn boxes for 3rd party apps.
I like both firestick and onn. One problem I encountered with the onn was pairing my hand held mouse which was an ONN mouse. Seems it should be easy ONN to ONN, it was not. Not sure why but I have the ONN (20$ version) hooked to my smart TV, a vizio. Go to setting on the ONN menu, select pair a device put mouse in connect mode found the mouse would state "pairing" then "connecting" then would say couldn't pair. Did that about 20 times then got lucky, for whatever reason, and it would pair. Unfortunately it would then unpair about a day later. Had a different mouse a cheap one I got from AMazon the ONN found that and paired pretty quickly so far so good. Took the ONN mouse and had no issues pairing it to my fire-stick located in a different room. Thought I'd mention this for anyone having similiar problems. Incidentally total cost for both mice around $15 and worth it. I used mouse toggle on firestick for years but the hand held makes for a smoother experience.
Thanks for posting about the ONN devices. Is there a browser that runs decently on them??? Maybe Chrome??? (Although it's kind of a pain, I use SILK quite a bit on the Amazon devices and would hate to give up that capability.)

Thank you I purchased a projector and tried to watch Netflix on it and it wouldn’t work because of copyright reasons you can only use a streaming stick and I want to be able to watch other stuff that’s not on Netflix but I never could find out how to jailbreak the Roku I’m gonna buy this stick today and try out. If you can't find Downloader in your app store, you can sideload it. Just open a web browser on your onn. stick and visit firetvsticks.com, select "Downloads" from the menu, then choose "Tools" from the list of categories. Look for Downloader in the list and select it. On the next screen, find the light-blue download button and select it to install the app.

I bought a couple onn boxes and a couple onn sticks just because of the price and videos. I am very pleased with the boxes as they are 4k and will allow external storage. However on the sticks I am unable to add storage. I've tried both sticks with multiple 32 gb USB drives all formatted to fat32...still no success. It just doesn't recognize it.....Any suggestions.
I'm not sure why your stick is not recognising the USB. I have tried this on my Onn stick and the USB was recognised instantly. Can you access the USB in the Settings at all?
@@FireTVSticks I don’t understand it either. I have tried 2 different sticks, different OTG cables, multiple flash drives and no difference. No you don’t see it in the settings either. I also have 2 Onn boxes and they recognized the drive instantly. Not a big deal, I have a couple shields and numerous fire devices, but it would be nice if it was recognized.

Hi Tanya just got the Nord vpn for the fire tv stick 4k max. Downloaded the Roku channel set if to US but just says playback error. I am in Canada. Looks like Nord doesn't work on the Roku app?
Could you please confirm the version of your Roku app? If you need further assistance, you may try force closing both the Roku and VPN apps. After that, please open the Nord VPN app first, select the US server, and then open the Roku app. This should help resolve the issue.

The only way around this may be to access the ITVX website on a web browser. Unfortunately, the app will not work.
