The ONN streaming box is an affordable device from Walmart that allows users to stream shows and movies. This device is none for being extremely cheap but reliable. Today I will be talking about jailbreaking it and how to load it the easy way. There is two separate methods to perform this, we will be going over both!

Those of you who can’t get developers option , go to settings and then the section titled system then scroll to about and after in the about section go highlight “android tv OS build” and click ok on that 8 times and it’ll unlock dev options

My onn tv stick wifi is not connecting
Can you help me figure 1 thing out, I just got this new device tried it out tonight, on Wifi It's getting 400 consistent speed, my Cube on the same setup is getting 95 how is that possible, using analiti on both, It's played all 4K files I've thrown at it on my Emby & Plex apps.
Cube only has 100Mb ethernet port.
Is the stick any good for iptv?
I've bought 5 of them in the past year for my family and it works great. Get an OTG cable and extra memory though.

@@leandretx You need to have them on the same network. Example, the phone can't be using Verizon and the TV using your internet connection with Charter. They both need to be using your WiFi connection with Charter. Hope this helps.

once you're hovered over it / it's highlighted, hit enter/center white circle on your remote 5-7 times quickly, and you should see a message appear that says "You are now a developer" or something similar. That's it, hit back button to System and you'll see a bunch more options available.

jailbreaking is a iOS term
rooting is a more appropriate android term
@Daniel rooting on an android is defined as allowing the operating system full access to the hardware capabilities of the device. While it can allow the use of "un official code", androids don't typically have limits on running Apks.
So respectfully, your wrong.
The android tv device has limits to the apps it can access by default, the same way an iPhone does. Jailbreak = foreign/ not official code.

I had the same problem, this video is a year old, apparently they've changed them a little, I found a work around.......

Your box must be old, the new box doesn't have downloader, nor is it set up like yours in settings.

Listen to how crazy this is. This ONN android box was purchased at Walmart. It's supposed to be new but tell me how it was already registered to a Gmail account not associated with us. I had to factory reset it and start over. I'm not familiar with this platform. I've programmed over a hundred fire sticks. I see the layout is different. I can't find where to turn on unknown sources. I installed the downloader and got my two apps on the device. Once I downloaded the app it took me to settings to turn on the downloader so the app could install. I was able to get it programmed but I have no idea how to get to the unknown source. Can someone please help me?

@@deedazzled_73 ....Same boat, I just ditched the firestick, I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but this video is apparently out dated, I did figure out how to turn on developer options, which gives you debugging options, like on the fire stick, here's the work around.......

Technically speaking it is jailbreaking the device. It's not the same as an iphone where you're completely changing the system, but it's breaking it free from it's intended function, aka jailbreaking.

A new one yesterday and the only issue is if you set line up for a freind you have to setup using your hole acoustic then using developer mode log out then set up as a general use account, until they can sign in other wise you can’t move the apps around to the front 🤦🏼♂️
