omg thank you sooo much i am new to skating and my friend told me to remove the brake because they have no use and they just block you from doing moves however because of you im not and now i know how to brake thanks you have a new subscriber :)
After 19 years I decided to go back to inline skating. Thank you for this video, I was afraid about my stop techniques. I'm going to get a SEBA SX2 80mm for urban and comute maybe

Thank you for the video! I've gotten to where I can go forward alright, but I don't know how to stop, which makes it too scary to do a lot of skating! I'll need to practice these so I can get comfortable skating in more situations.
@@skamidanenAnytime mate! I had my first real practice tour today and it went very well with keeping my balance and not falling once. Doing basic skating strides, heel braking and going in circles around two wooden tables in a playground area. Also practiced some slalom braking and careful sharp turning to bleed down speed effectively. Good times and many more to come Im sure :D
Plow stop: As I had it explained to me in a roller derby tutorial, you're basically getting into the A-stance (the second half of a forward swizzle or lemon drop), using your inside edges, applying weight I think evenly to all of your wheels, while pushing outward and getting low (bending your knees / dropping down your center of gravity). If you have trouble getting into a good A-stance, just do a swizzle / lemon drop to get into an A-stance. I'm not a skating instructor, but I think that's about how it works. Please feel free to correct me where I may be wrong. I've been starting to see some success doing this as a relatively new skater, but of course we'd all like accurate instruction, myself included. ; )
My braking sequence has developed into deceleration with the T-stop and a full stop either with a spin or parallel/Hockey stop. To conserve my centre wheels (I use a banana rocker) I only drag the front or rear wheels. Interestingly enough, the harder centre wheels wear down quicker than softer front and rear wheels during deceleration. Since balance becomes more difficult the closer one becomes to a full stop during the T-stop, I like to use a spin for a slower/more casual approach and parallel/Hockey stop for faster and more urgent stops. In the end, you will develop your own preference of braking techniques. If its effective, its a good braking technique. Good video Daniel.
Wow this is the most informative and well explained video I've seen so far on how to stop...just started with inline skates so I'm just gonna keep watching this until I get it.
T-stop should be called L-stop. I will on monday get skates and i am watching only you. You are best explaner i heard. I am subscribed on your YT cannal
Hey! I love your channel and your videos! I just bought inline skates so I'm following your beginner videos very carefully! your videos are very well explained, clear, helpful and right to the point, thank you so much! (if tomorrow while trying outdoors I fall that's on you hahaha :) )
Again, thanks a lot! 🙂🙏 It's always nice to hear that you can help others by learning something you! 😀 I'm sure these two weeks later you will already have mastered the here shown techniques to slow down and stop. 😉
Skating into the grass is also a good option until you're able to use your heel brake or any other braking techniques. The most important is skating safe and have fun! 🙂👌
Very educational now I ask please do a demonstration video on how to quickly break going around twisties on a trail when you're on a incline going on a fast pace around a twisty and the quickest way to stop instead of going into the grass where there are stones also it's a difficult explanation if I could give you a picture of how I crashed but how to prevent your skate from also wiggling and the proper way to overcome a possible crash that could injure you I ended up fracturing my shoulder and dislocated my shoulder I'm glad that I saw this video it helped me understand what I need to do to properly break but maybe be a good video for you to teach people on the twisties how to break quickly if necessary if it's the same methods that you shown on this one that will still be a great information please and thank you because I definitely bought some $100 rollerblades and I did not realize how fast they can go and they are awesome but the first day I got them it's been years since I rollerblade but I never had rollerblades that were awesome like this it makes me vulnerable now that I can't use them and it's almost winter time LOL and I'm a motorcycle list and I can't ride my bike for the rest of the year LOL 🤣 great video much needed I'm going to practice one of these techniques and I got brakes on my right but I think I'm going to switch it over to the left because I'm left-handed I just purchased them a couple days ago actually yesterday I believe.
Now i'm 23 and i've recently bought inline skates again and want to learn from new but here's my first attempt to brake as a child - guess i could have used this video by then 😂 : Funny story is i used to do a liiiiiittle bit of inline skates as a kid (i didn't knew how to skate of course) and one day with my parents we went to a street but it was super steep so i gained speed and speed and speed (downhill) and i couldn't stop i was freaked out and didn't know what to d (i was like 10) so i saw a post in the street and while skating downhill with way too much speed i was screaming and aiming for that post with my 2 straight arms preparing for impact 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 this definitely stoppped me but i've stopped skates this day as well 😂 😂 😂 😂
Hello again! 🙂 It's a very funny story! 😂 It just putted a smile into my face imaging that story, also because we all know, everyone of us can tell a story like that, isn't it? 😅 That's also the reason why I did the following tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/9a4hm3NGF1M/v-deo.html
Keep your knees bent all the time for extra balance. Also when i myself was learning the T stop i found myself instinctively moving my hands to the side of the braking leg which causes a spin out, so if you also do that try forcing yourself to move the hands the other way. Another thing is that you might just be placing your braking leg too close to your front (supportive) leg or you might also be placing the braking leg too far behind the front leg, you want to keep it in a more of an L shape instead of a T shape. Hope it helps
Guys, be careful while using Wall-Stop technique...Lean back, especially lean your head back to not to hit your face to wall. The reason I said that, once I broke my nose
I’ve been skating off and on for like 10 years (summers only) but i still have the heel brake. I want to try these kind of skates in the video but the braking methods don’t seem that easy. My neighborhood is all uphill downhill
Hey, don't be afraid, these ways to brake a really easy. Here you will find a complete playlist with detailled explanations for every braking technique. ;) ua-cam.com/play/PLq5U4-rD1f_XNo13CzIl6NaUKgs3a8HKF.html
Hey, I use both legs, no matter which one is stronger. But for example, when I'm doging T-Stops I mostly almost use my weaker leg for braking and stronger leg for balancing.
When I tried the wall stop, 😅I nearly smacked my face🤣but yeah It worked when I did it again When I tried the T-stop, It didn't work maybe because I was on (flat)tiles?
No no, the T-Stop always works, but on even grounds you need more power to press your wheels on the ground (to slow down effectively). ✌ Btw. I hope your face is fine. ;)
Love your videos! When i do the jump stop, after jumping with my skates sideways, they slide to the side where they are pointing, they dont stop completly like you, they stop but slide to the side where the skates point, can you help?
Please tell me what model of skated you use on this video? I am looking for the lowest possible skates, gor a reason. Yours on this video look very low and this is what I need. Thanks a lot.
Hi oleg, in this video I wear the USD Carbon Team Blue skates, but the lowest and most best flat skates with 60mm wheels are the USD Aeon skates: www.skamidan.com/inlineskates/usd-aeon-en/?lang=en
hi. i accidentally damaged my BRAKE FRAME and i can't fit a brake block in it. do you think the brake block can stay fine in there only with screws or should i fix it?
I have missed here the reversed T-stop. Basically you do half eagle and then you pull your brake feet forward, so you are moving and T-Stopping backwards (reversed). It's the most effective to quick break at high speeds, but requires of a good spin and backwards skating control. If you play your T-stop example backwards, it is how it will look :)
Nice useful video, thanks! I am not able to stand on one leg for more than 2 secs, even standing still on grass. What is wrong with me?? Is it my boot setup? Valo v13 + Kizer Trimax + 110mm wheels.
Thank you! To your question, it's not your setup, balancing on one foot or leg is possible with every setup. But, the best thing you can do to maintain balance is bending your knee as deep as it feels good to do so. The more you bend your knee the more power you need, but the easier to maintain balance. A further movement to maintain balance is to cros your leg (the leg in the air) behind your dominate leg. If it won't work for you, maybe one of my one leg tutorials will help you. How To Skate On Only One Leg: ua-cam.com/video/8IkoEnLAS5A/v-deo.html Skating: Gain Speed And Jump On One Leg - Doing 180°s And 360°s: ua-cam.com/video/xH5f9-AkjCc/v-deo.html
Thank you for your quick reply and extra tips! Appreciate it from a new guy in this world of inline skating. I hope you are right. I just bought this setup and after trying it yesterday I started doubting if I made a mistake by learning with the trimax + 110 wheels (the bigger the wheel the harder I think). My ankles woble sometimes very easily.
Thank man, especially for you recogintion in my work and videos. So, if your ankles woble sometimes, I hope your boots fit anyway. However it doesn't sound good. If a skate fit perfectly your ankles should not woble. :( Well but you're right, maintain balance on big wheels is a little bit harder than on smaller wheels, just because of power transmission to the ground. But be sure, you'll handle it soon, just practice and never give up! When I can help you in another way or do you just need further tips, please ask me, you're always welcome! 🙂✌

How do I properly control my speed when going downhill (you know, a sine gentle slope may get steeper than comfortable) without outright braking? As of now I have had some success with traversing in arches, but that takes a lot of space...
I use my brakes to stop but I've never done it that way so idk if my way is correct? I just stay in the position that I was in while moving (slightly lean forward with my knees bent, like u do in the video) and lift my front wheels and press the brake on the ground. Like I don't put my leg in front of me and I still stop pretty fast. Is that a correct way?
These are the USD Carbon Blue. But they have been sold out for about 6 years now and are no longer produced. You can find the current and high-quality skates from USD on my website under the following link: www.skamidan.com/produkt-kategorie/skate-shop-en/inline-skating-en/inline-skates-en/aggressive-inline-skates-en/?lang=en
Thank you, you're right with the powerstop and powerslide, but this tutorial is an "Inline Skating Basic" tutorial. That means that this tutorial is for beginners. But from my experience the powerstop and powerslide are too difficult for beginner. However over the following link you'll find my "how to powerslide" tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/eAKXCWXXkto/v-deo.html
Eh powerslide fucks up your tires even faster than t-braking and is way more complicated move. Slalom speed controlling + powerstop/ice skating stop works Best for me.
These are aggressive inline skates, they're not similar to cardiff skates: www.skamidan.com/produkt-kategorie/skateshop/inline-skating/inline-skates/aggressive-inline-skates/
By the way, what I was reffering to, is to get some Fitness skates for you to wear and use in your videos, so we all could see how you do on fitness ones. Lots of missunderstandings around here.

Hey, no it's not bevause your wheels are soft, it's because you don't do the T-Stop in the right way. In other words you have to practice your T-Stop, but I'm sure you'll master it. Over the following link you'll find my detailed tutorial about the T-Stop. There I also explain how to keep your body posture, so your body won't turn when braking: ua-cam.com/video/QNKcKjLXoO4/v-deo.html

No no, the T-Stop always works, but on even grounds you need more power to press your wheels on the ground (to slow down effectively). ✌ Btw. I hope your face is fine. ;)
Great, now I know 7 ways to prague ;p
Awesome!
I know these but watched anyway my most used is the eagle and t stop
is the jump stop even safe if your going extremely fast?
Thx for watching it anyway! 🙂 For me it's the eagle, plow and the powerslide (not explained in this video).

Thanks again! 🙂🙏
Super tricks from you I want to be skating trainer what I do for this I am from India please answer me thank you
Hey Deena, first of all thank you very much!🙂🙏 But I didn't understand your question. You are teaching skating in India?
Love your videos! When i do the jump stop, after jumping with my skates sideways, they slide to the side where they are pointing, they dont stop completly like you, they stop but slide to the side where the skates point, can you help?
Please tell me what model of skated you use on this video? I am looking for the lowest possible skates, gor a reason. Yours on this video look very low and this is what I need.
Thanks a lot.
Hi oleg, in this video I wear the USD Carbon Team Blue skates, but the lowest and most best flat skates with 60mm wheels are the USD Aeon skates:

Thanks i can skate just like uou
Thank you 🙏 and this is great to hear! 🙂
Now I know why I raise my kids multi-lingual. ;)
Hey bro, what about the slide stop or power stop?
hi. i accidentally damaged my BRAKE FRAME and i can't fit a brake block in it. do you think the brake block can stay fine in there only with screws or should i fix it?
Oh now, Maybe it will work with just the screw, but I recommend to fix it in order to ensure it will work correctly!
🙂✌
SkaMiDan - Skating School & Skateshop [EN] thanks for the advice👍
You're welcome! 🙂✌

My ankles woble sometimes very easily.
btw you have a new sub! Keep up the good work on this channel!
I WILL RECOMMEND T STOP
👍
I love your techniques but i get problems during braking
I keep spinning or falling on my knees when I try the T break 😑
Keep your knees bent all the time for extra balance. Also when i myself was learning the T stop i found myself instinctively moving my hands to the side of the braking leg which causes a spin out, so if you also do that try forcing yourself to move the hands the other way. Another thing is that you might just be placing your braking leg too close to your front (supportive) leg or you might also be placing the braking leg too far behind the front leg, you want to keep it in a more of an L shape instead of a T shape. Hope it helps
What are the skates at 1.11?
These are the USD Carbon Blue. But they have been sold out for about 6 years now and are no longer produced.
You can find the current and high-quality skates from USD on my website under the following link:
www.skamidan.com/produkt-kategorie/skate-shop-en/inline-skating-en/inline-skates-en/aggressive-inline-skates-en/?lang=en
Slam stop: to stop on the spot, slam into an availanle obstacle. The faster you go, the harder you need to slam. :D
you forgot the 2 most important technics and most used : Powestop and powerslide
Thank you, you're right with the powerstop and powerslide, but this tutorial is an "Inline Skating Basic" tutorial. That means that this tutorial is for beginners. But from my experience the powerstop and powerslide are too difficult for beginner.
However over the following link you'll find my "how to powerslide" tutorial:
ua-cam.com/video/eAKXCWXXkto/v-deo.html
Eh powerslide fucks up your tires even faster than t-braking and is way more complicated move. Slalom speed controlling + powerstop/ice skating stop works Best for me.
What's skates is this?, is it like Cardiff?
These are aggressive inline skates, they're not similar to cardiff skates:

Bro please wear protectors, as we are worry about you as well
Does this work with cheap Target inline skates? :0
Come on bro! You have a Skateshop, get some fitness for all of us. Please... ñ_ñ
@@skamidanen Jajajaja. Nice one man. Keep on doing cool man. Greetings. Just kidding by the way, please don't take my comment in a serious manner.
By the way, what I was reffering to, is to get some Fitness skates for you to wear and use in your videos, so we all could see how you do on fitness ones. Lots of missunderstandings around here.
hey man, could you make a toturial on jumping stairs or a gab?
Hey hey, thank you for your wish and request!

Hi, My name is avanish, how to do skating fast
Power stop is the best option...
I want to ride too
i love your accent so much its inhuman
To me,T stop is the most easiest stop, but why when im about to T Stop,i keep on turn around n my leg suddenly wide open haha
Is it because my wheel too soft,my wheel 78 a?
Hey, no it's not bevause your wheels are soft, it's because you don't do the T-Stop in the right way. In other words you have to practice your T-Stop, but I'm sure you'll master it.
Over the following link you'll find my detailed tutorial about the T-Stop. There I also explain how to keep your body posture, so your body won't turn when braking:
