Double Black 5's attack the Lickey Incline, on the The Great Britain XVI: Day 2

A spectacular sight indeed a sunny Sunday morning Double Black 5s, 44871 and 45407 are seen blasting up the 1 in 37 Lickey Incline near Bromsgrove. On day 2 of The Great Britain XVI, they are seen working from Cheltenham to Lancaster. I later carried on to the Banbury area to capture the Western.

Love the sounds - the Black 5s sound chirpy and excited to be attacking the bank, the coaches wheels whirl, and the Class 47 kind of whines likes it’s not happy at being the supporting act providing train heat and light!
