  • We fly the notorious Fisk Arrival! Known for its unforgiving left turns! We arrive to our first day at Oshkosh via the VFR FISK arrival and go into detail about how to actually pull off the approach. We wanted the full experience so we dint throttle video length! We fly the Green Lake Hold, to Ripon, onto Fisk, then arrive at Oshkosh with a spicy short downwind to final. Thanks for flying with us!

      This was super helpful! I have flown for years there but always stop short and drive the rest of the way. This gave me confidence to fly in myself this year. Are you going?

    That was the perfect explanation of the FISK approach. That long taxi was much more difficult and nail-biting.

    Informative, entertaining, and smooth video.
    Looking forward to joining my pilot on July 23, 2022 for my first fly in to EEA Adventure.

    Can’t believe a pilot was actually circling the wrong way around Green Lake!

      Thanks!! It was a beast of a video to put together! Yeah, apparently his NOTAM didn’t have the green lake page! Haha

    Nice job. Amazing how simple it can be if you follow the notams and just be a good human. One confused or selfish pilot is all it takes to make a mess or worse. You rocked it

      Thanks so much! And Ivette and I were just talking about that, it’s just a little pre-planning and it’s so strait forward. The real challenge are the pilots who didn’t plan. I was surprised how attentive ATC were to pilots “cutting” in

    Ive scene lots of Oshkosh arrival video, but they are basically boring they basically just show the flight and thats the end, you guys did the whole nine yard, I have watch your video about 10 times like the whole trip, you gave us the flight the camping food registration air show, man it was great, I felt like I was there with you guys, specially your girl friend she is beautiful and sexy, not like other female that keeps the dam camera in their face, please make more they are very entertaining, but make sure she is there too, I love her. Keep up the good work, other video makers should learn from you.

    As others have said, you did a really good job breaking down the fisk arrival. Excellent videography and editing. You do a fantastic job, that subscriber number will be jumping through the roof before you know it.
    Loving this series! I cannot wait to finish up my PPL. I had some health issues lately but have recently started flying again. I have a night flight and a couple hours of hood time between me and the checkride.
    Blue skies and tail winds!

    Great edit and job balancing the information with the fun visuals. One thing from all the videos I watch of arrivals it is clear gopros don't do a good job of showing traffic. Did you find it easy to visually pick out other aircraft as you had an idea of where to be looking for them?

    What do you do if you’re planning for general aviation camping, and you show up and there’s no spots left? You know there isn’t going to be a hotel either... are you sleeping in your airplane for a week?

    • @sierrahpaul
      @sierrahpaul 3 роки тому +1

      If there are no spots left in GAC, they will be out a notice before people land at Oshkosh so they don't come and plan on being parked and able to camp in GAC. At that point you have the choice to divert to a nearby airport also allowing camping and transportation to oshkosh or go to a different airport spend the night in a hotel and try again the next day if spots open.

    never get tired of watching these.. HOWEVER, the NIMUNLL who was going clockwise at green lake should NOT have had his NUMBER covered. HE was the danger. can't imagine how many radio calls were made about the left turns around green lake while that idiot was doing rights! KUDOS to EAA and all the pilots,,

      Yeeeeah, that was a bit bizarre to me. He sounded a little off too... either confused or really didn’t prepare at all. In any case, we decided it was best not to lampoon him... hopefully he sees the video and learns. It was a lot of extra work blurring! Haha

    Great and awesome video on the Ripon/Fisk arrival to OSH. I re-lived my arrival some years ago riding along with you. And what a fantastic landing right on the orange dot. So well done. As a retired CFII, two comments if I may and which you probably know about the first one... you got caught out by the crosswind turning on to final, the second has nothing to do with actual flying.... professional protocol with headsets is to have both mike booms outboard. That way when you glance at each other, you can see each others face rather than a mike boom. I reckon you went up the ladder a few points in Ivett's estimation as she experienced the great excitement which you created for her and is the magic of Airventure. Blue skies!

    • @7ZeroProductions
      @7ZeroProductions  4 роки тому

      Thanks! It was crazy and a bummer we can’t do it again this year! And I’m with you on the janky landing, it’s a miracle I landed with that wacky pattern haha... and I’ve never heard of the mic boom thing! Interesting! I’m not sure those booms can be moved, then again I’ve never tried. I’ll check it out tonight! Thanks
