You probably know this but a tarp would make all the difference and it doesn't take much space. Then no matter what, you have a shelter that can be put up in minutes.Great video.👌👍
Greetings, get your shovel out and clear out an area! twenty minutes work you could have been much more comfortable? Could have even had a waterproof roof if you had a tarp with you? Sometimes its good to have a tarp that you can use to make a quick shelter that will keep you dry. Nice landscape for sure. Enjoy yourself and be careful.
Yeah thank you very much mate 👍🏻 I was limited on this one. I had a DDNEST in my kit but I'll be honest it was pumping it down so much I don't think it would of stayed dry. My poncho was usable I suppose but I was OK with how it turned out. Nice to be out as always 👌🏻
@mattbennett2420 yeah has been before but those winds was 70mph on the mountain side. Trees was broken in half and I didn't fancy it lol. The Nest stayed in my bag lol. I had fun never the less.
I'm a woman but I love the outdoors . I'm from Louisiana, USA. I really liked your video. I loved the beautiful country. I don't drink and have no ideal the name of the whiskey but I wish I did because I would so love to have the tiny bottles of whiskey. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you very much for watching the video an from so far away. I appreciate it very much. I love America been once before, but I would love to do Louisiana out in the swamps and buyo. Would like to do Apalacha trail aswell lol. I like the Duck men an the aligator people on the TV. Well your in luck I'll add you to the contest .. Thank you for your comment/message
Mister, this is some unbelievably spectacular location. I have travelled the uk a fair bit but was totally unaware if this place. Many thanks bud. Also a pretty amazing channel ❤
Great video as always mate! Looked wetter than an otters pocket out there boy!! FairPlay though mate for sticking it out. What’s the law on the wild camping there mate? Can you just rock up there and camp?? Look forward to the next one.
Thank you mate an you do make me laugh. Not herd that one but it did make me laugh abit lol 😆. Yeah most of the land has the rights to roam on it mate so plenty to camp on as long as your sensible. I know you are so would be fine for someone like yourself. Thank you very much mate 👍🏻
G'day mate, if you want the feeling of remoteness, come over to NZ and you will find that you can go for months in the mountains here without seeing a soul or going over the same track twice. We don't have the population here that you have in the UK, so it is so much easier to get away from it all. My favourite playground is the Tararua range , a forest 100ks long by 30ks wide and rises up to 1600+. Just got back this evening after a 14-hour tramp (hike), never saw a soul. Enjoyed the video ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ ☺☺
I enjoyed that end to end. It's one of the best sides of being outdoors camping and or bivvying and that is reading the land and seeing where you're actually going to get your head down. Sometimes we get it right others we don't. A decent adventure bro. All the best. Mark
Hit the nail on the head mate. We all like to think we know absolutely everything but really every trip teaches you something. Atleast that's what real outdoors people will admit to I believe. It's the people who state they know absolutely everything either get lost or sometimes don't come home unfortunately. It's no shame messing up It's how you navigate around it 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻 Thanks very much for your support
A rough night Karl , didn't. Look much room under there chum ! Great views but grey n v damp ! , cool clean water 👏🏻 and the 🔥 y white n mackie 🥃😂, the title intrigued me ,, get away from her ? ,,, soon realised it was the storm and not a she cat or mad woman ! 😅😂😅😂, enjoyed your jaunt and vid came up just after my tea , smashing 👍, looking forward to you being back on home turf ! More to learn there yet ! Not only the 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐆🐱 feline,s but the cabin upgrade and mystery mush ! , go,prepared toplad 👍sure you know what I mean 😉, thanks for the upload again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 regards Coll 🏴🇬🇧
Thanks Coll, It was a nightmare of a storm Kathleen. Glad I had gortex on or I would of been screwed mate. Thanks mate I've already got a move on an and got more cameras to put out. Got a 4g live stream camera. I'll be back out in a few days mate👍🏻 thanks for watching as always 🌳 ⛺️

Thanks very much glad to have you with us. It's definitely a big part of the channel, for those who can't physically or just won't go out because of limitations ect. Hope you enjoy and become part of us as we grow 👍🏻
@@welcome2thewoodsuk awesome bro when can we expect a new video? Only just stumbled across these after following some big cat videos and we need more of your content pal 👊🏻
Yes mate. I been in the woods multiple times and I've set up some different things since. Had some really good finds aswell as some not so nice . Thanks mate 👍🏻
Just a suggestion to improve on your (otherwise excellent) camera work. Like the vast majority of amateur camera users, you tend to pan the camera a bit fast. The section from 2:15 - 2:50 is what I'm referring to. It moves a bit too quickly, and is a little too jerky. The human eye tends to struggle to take in the detail of what it's seeing, before the scene is already shifting again. This is frustrating to the viewer who is trying to take in the details of what they're seeing, and can even be slightly disorienting. It took me a good while to catch on to what you were trying to show us in the scene referenced above. If you slow the pan down, and try to be a little smoother, you will produce a much better experience for your viewers. (If need be, you can even slow down the pan in edit, to compensate for a too-rapid pan.) Hope you find this helpful.. this is my first visit to your channel, and I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Thanks very much for your valuable advice. I'm obviously a complete novice and I appreciate the help. I will take that on board and try to work that method in the future. Cheers for watching and truly appreciate the tip 👍🏻 👌🏻
I could hear a main road close to you , that's a lot of traffic. so you wasn't that remote. One shot you could see the road. But still nice place . I'm rum girl 😂😂
That was the wind through the trees. There was a mountain road the other side at one stage your right but had hardly any vehicles go down it. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
That last comment "I left my batteries about 2 miles from here"!!💥😾😾😱😱👿👿 I swear sometimes men can be soooo dumb!!😩😩😩😵😵 I mean how many times did you go back and forth better that rock out coping and the railway bridge? It was obvious that the rock was the best choice!! You should have brought your wife or girlfriend with you!!😡😡🤓🤓🤓😜😜😜😎😎😎 did you get any 😴😴 🙃🙃🙃😒😒🙄🙄 I hope so. Good luck today, I'm looking forward to the days adventures!!! REALLY, I TRULY AM!!!😎😎😀😀😀😏😏😺😺😺👩⚕👩⚕ Just please be careful we don't want to see you get hurt, that grass is slippery from all the rain and probably has groundhog holes!!👩⚕👩⚕👩⚕ I'm a nurse but I live in the USA so if you get hurt it would take me a veryyy long time to reach you!! 🤕🤕👩✈️👩✈️🎒🎒😺😺😬😬🤕🤕🤕🤕
Nice trip out fella, good decision on the rock overhang. Awesome looking area, especially the dry rock remains.
Thanks mate,
It's a beautiful place an so much history in the old remains.

There’s enough rocks and woods within reach to make a dry shelter. Get creative, dude.

Watch the last 36 second bottom left corner see them eyes 👀
I thought knifes with locking blades were illegal to carry in the UK.
Yes, unless you have a good reason or legitimate use. The Police may still give a talking to but prosecution is hard if you don't give them a reason.
'Without reasonable cause.'
Camping/hiking/fishing usually constitutes good cause but attitude towards the Bobby helps as well.
That's one way of filling it
