Hey tizzle! I used to edit for aztecross a little while ago, and light level would in fact affect our damage output when testing damage at carl. What’s most likely happening is luna’s is experiencing a damage decrease due to being locked at 1600; but who knows, maybe the brave version will still have a different damage model when it drops. Great video as always! :)

I'm gonna try a slideshot + howl, just curious if slideshot will allow me to skip directly reloading to get the perk. edit: probably should of watched the whole video lol.

@@VAVORiAL mag howl with ricoshet and small bore means your already at 90 range, the extra meter of engagement isnt worth the pain in the ass to proc sliding over healing after kill, sure you MIGHT be able to duel lowend 120s but your sacrificing amount of time you can stay in engagement
something interesting that lucky pants hunters might want to try out would be a slideshot magnificent howl roll so you can stack up to max. obviously it’s not super practical, but could be interesting
Something to note is with appended/extended mag and backup mag you'll get 14 bullets, which means slideshot should load 3 at once instead of 2, due to it rounding up.
I'm gonna go for it but most likely for a heal clip roll for utility. But I'm most likely going to stick with zhalous for most other things, which you got me to really use and just go farm red boarders for. Tomorow I'll finally get the last I need to craft this bad boy, and its all thanks to you pushing it so hard. Still torn on demo vs one for all to pair with explosive payload though...

I've got some heliocentrics with Heal Clip, i love every version of it, heal clip feels so good to use.

Precision instrument is super interesting for trials or super sweaty games in general cause in combination with slideshot it gives luna the deepest 3tap range of all 140 HCs of over 37m (similar to old rangefinder max range pali). But yeah for general play like comp and 6v6 i agree on magnificient howl to be a better choice. I will definitly grind for both rolls and will see whats the enhanced mag howl will be in final shape and then decide what to use on lang term. Maybe i will even go back to not forgotten and ignore the enhanced perks if i like zen moment more than slideshot.
I think the best PvP perks will be slideshot + precision instrument. Very consistent dueling and the precision instrument gives more effective range. I think with it being a 140 precision and also having nearly the same rolls as Rose but better, this thing will be a MENACE. Not to mention it being able to get enhanced perks in Final Shape.

@@sebasstehfish5634 agreed, always been a primary hand cannon user. Atm i love the precision instrument on my igneous. A lot of old sunsetted weapons return with new perks and traits. And with the lunas back with the only gun to have magnificent howl, beside from NF. I’ll Think there is a good possibility that NF with also return with new perks. Maybe in a future comp reward quest . I love that gun 🔥

Also, as a person who legit only uses not forgotten in pvp even though its sunset, you can also use things like t-steps, holster mods, and other auto loading functioning style things to increase the mag without reloading. This makes it MUCH easier to get more kills per mag so maybe just throw on one if you have the space.
Here’s what I got after testing todays brave version. Looks like there is a slight difference due to light level. At 1800, no radiant no surge, here’s what I got.
Minors base precision: 12,780
Minors base body: 8,199
Minors mag precision: 19,169
Minors mag body: 12,297
Majors base precision: 5,840
Major base body: 3,746
Major mag precision: 8,759
Major mag body: 5,619
Underrated
Luna's howl is the only non-raid/non-trials HC that can roll heal clip which is currently super meta on things like Parabellum, Heliocentric and Adhortative. And it can roll incandescent too.
Of course this will fall off a bit once Season of Solar/Wish ends but it will still be a good pick if you rely on your energy primary to heal and generate firesprites with incandescent.
But in general I am a little annoyed that Luna's Howl only has damage options on the 4th column. Which is a far cry compared to Midnight coup but then again, I expect it to be the PVP weapon of choice so I can see why. Because slideshot is just too damn good. IMO if you only want one roll for both PVP and regular PVE, then slide shot and magnificent howl is great. And slideshot doesn't require kills at all to sustain Luna's howl unlike subsistence.
damage perks for HC in 3rd column are especially rare, explosive payload doubly so, only 4 weapons can get it, dont see why your annoyed
@@IdontKnow-nm8bz Because Brave weapons are supposed to be mega strong and rival even raid legendaries.
In some cases even stronger like Discord + Redirection Brave Succession. I mean able to use your sniper rifle freely to shoot red bars in GM for free? HELL yeah I take it.
And it should be the case for them, because Braves cannot be crafted and you are at the mercy of RNG unlike raid exotics.
Midnight Coup is easily equal to Fate Bringer barring Time lost which can use adept mods but Midnight can get enhanced perks later so it balances out a bit.
Luna's Howl should do the same so it can rival Zaouli's Bane which is typically crafted with EP + Incan/firefly/OFA etc
Suddenly holding back Luna back from being a true god roll is now weird. But I guess Slide shot compensates as it will still remain a PVP monster and just good in PVE, if you don't mind sliding a bit to upkeep Magnificent Howl.
You could test to see if it's a light level thing by getting another 1600 weapon from vault or collections and test it against a current weapon of that archetype.
PSA, if you can get/have a swashbuckler Annual Skate, it can also 2-tap with radiant at any resilience.
A Trust with Tricorn and radiant can also 2-tap at any resilience.
Both are solar, so hanging on to the radiant buff is trivial.
Trust is super difficult to get the 2-tap going, but Annual Skate is not.
Ace can kinda do the same, but you need a firefly collateral to keep the radiant buff extended.
Proccing radiant + melee kill + getting the follow up kill in 4.5 seconds vs 2 precision kills and infinite time.

Only suggestion I have for your videos is the way you are ending sentences. I am not sure if it's just how you talk or not, but when you finish a line, it's clear you are reading a script. I would say, try to string your sentences together a little bit more or make it so you aren't inflecting on the end of the sentence. Other than that, great vid as always.

I just got a full range one with slideshow and opening shot. 100+ range
I have never found a reason to use anything other than flared in pve. On most weapons tac or app mag are going to give you 1-2 bullets which isn't worth it on a primary weapon when you're still inevitably going to have to reload.

Honestly I kinda feel that this is how hawkmoon should've been. Not that it's bad per se but good lord that thing takes a really skilled hand to use. This allows for more leeway I think
So they made it a skill gap weapon from pvp into a skill gap weapon for pve, they should have kept it in its post nerf state for pvp
Exactly. The roll to go for imo for pvp is encore precision hit intrusment for the 2 head one body. Also maybe slide shot mag howl.
well lunas will be the second best legendary hc in the game for pve, and one of the best for pvp

@@psychosandman it’s also in a better slot, allowing for a use of witherhoard, Izi, or another great DPS option in the primary slot. It would make procing bns on an apex easier. You could pop witherhoard, bang out some Lunas shots, fire bns apex, back to lunas, etc. better DPS this way, especially if you nighthawk or Star eater swap
@zebbernholtz5550 DoT is overall better with dragons breath. Ammo economy is great for that launcher, especially when swapping to solar reserves.

I’m really curious to see what Bungie is going to do with Not Forgotten when they bring it back just because the new Lunas can have more range & handling then the NF. For Lunas I want Full bore, ricochet rounds, Encore, & magnificent howl with a range masterwork. Encore shoots the range all the way up to 91 & stability to 89

Hawkmoon doesn’t require a reload before making use of its bonus damage, I personally don’t like this rework for the perk

why you make video how something works about old weapon. many of perks of returning weapons are not same anymore. like reservoir burst its not voltshot but more like dragonfly.
knowing bungo like recently nerfed demolitionist and all else it will be nerfed to ground so those imbeciles will next season write "oh this exotic needs some love so we buff that by 30% and still is shit" like bait and switch why go for 10s 30% where whirlwind has same and i dont need to to swap weapons. next one patch perk works, other patch it doesnt. same like for few months exotic weapons dont do 30% more to redbars, or recently shotguns. this is bungo spaghetti glue and tape code. or like right now they fucked up onslaught by puting galvanized so tanky enemies and shank sniper not 1 but now 3 yellow bars. same as hammerhead reload is limited did you noticed flared mag is +14 not +15 reload as on all weapons
