Yeah not even superstars in other other sports have ever done this. Lebron was close but he was down 3-1 in 2016. This guy Mcjesus is so inspirational.
Wait... Bruce and O-Dog said on Overdrive that it would be a sweep by Florida and Bruce said no way this goes beyond 5 no matter how many points Connor gets. Is this the same Bruce?
Yeah they are all the same. They follow the flow. Check out PK Subans show with messier. PK called for a sweep and McDavid was overrated. Now hes saying different.
Dry has to show up next game and wield some of his magic! We need him now more than ever. Will he contribute like we know he can, like Connor does? There is the real and avoided question, the missing part to the Oilers Stanley Cup equation. Period.
I guarantee Drai is hiding an injury. He’s not playing like himself. Yes, he tends to be hard on himself when he’s not producing, and I feel like that affects him, but he’s almost invisible. He’s doing no harm, so there’s that. He’s injured, no doubt. It’s not self doubt, it’s an injury. Drai is one of my favourite players right now. *im not an Oilers fan, but I’ve loved watching the team this year. They have never given up, and they are a comeback team. I don’t have a prediction, but if any team can, this year’s Oilers can.
I'm originally from Edmonton, the 780 baby! I'm a hugh Oilers fan. I'm well known for having dreams and visions that come exactly true as I see it. And the good news is I had a dream that the Oil were going to have a dynasty in which they will win the Stanley Cup in 2025, 2026, and in 2027. But then I also had another vision in which the Oil win the 2024 Stanley Cup but they never win another Cup ever again. Then I ask why this was and saw a horror. It was a horrible plane crash that somehow happened as a result of the Oil winning the Cup in 2024. It was the most ungodly horrors to ever happen in hockey. Honestly, I woke up very worried about our players. I do not want them to win on Monday night. The happy ending comes with patience. I love my Oilers too much to ever allow this to happen. Let's all pray for the safety of our players 🙏 We'll be getting our justice in the years to come.
People will put MCDavid on Mount Rushmore of the NHLs greatest ever players if the oilers win the cup and he continues to dominate Hopefully it all happens! McDavid is simply spectacular and an incredibly clutch type player
1:10 Ya, but back then, you didn't have a salary cap to contend with, a 32 team league, and a league with great parity across it, because of said salary cap either. There is a reason the Oilers and Pens of that era were never down 3-0 in the SCF. They were both juggernaut teams that just laid waste to the league in their primes. Not to take anything away from Gretzky or Lemieux, they are the GOATs, no questions asked, but back then, the league was comically lopsided, and top heavy with a few teams. The cup is much, much more difficult to win today, and that has to be taken into account as well.
Conn Smythe goes to McDavid, without a doubt, if it goes to 7. If it’s 6, Barkov or Bobs. With the small caveat that the play and score in game 6 could change it slightly. Bobs had a couple of bad games, but the entire playoffs they’ve beaten better teams because of Bobs. McDavid had a few poor games too, even games Edmonton won, so you can’t put Bobs’ losses squarely on his shoulders; Florida is where they because of him.
It's them winning not him winning. Don't put it on Connor if they don't win the cup this year. He's done everything you could expect from a great player and leader.

He is way too one-dimensional of a hockey player. Has fast with great hands but that's it. Needs to learn how to back-check. Along with most of his teammates. There's more to hockey than skating fast trying to be fancy. The game has been boring for well over a decade. No one should be happy with the amount of blow-out final score games as there has been. Especially in the playoffs.
If he got traded to your team tomorrow would you still be a hater? LOL No. Also, if you think hockey is boring then you should become an Oilers fan. It's definitely NOT boring. We've been on a roller coaster of misery, pain, horror, elation, shock and awe since October and it still hasn't let up one bit.
it's pretty obvious you've never watched a full game of Oilers hockey for like 3 years and only watch highlights. was that a problem with earlier years rosters and 97's play? yes, without question. but starting with the 2021-2022 season McDavid has been playing a full ice game (and improving his backcheck play each season), and has held the rest of the team accountable for the same. heck, in this series alone McDavid & team have been back-check machines. sit and watch a full 60 minutes and not just clip shows and highlights.
I've seen a lot of terrible takes online today, but this is the worst 🤣 LOL McDavid has been a beast at both ends of the ice, and has been better defensively than Barkov the last two games. Oilers put together a 16-GAME win streak this season (plus a couple of additional 8 game streaks) specifically on the back of strong defensive play. Averaged just 1.5 goals against for that entire 16 game streak. This outdated narrative is the easiest way to tell if someone has actually been watching the Oilers play hockey in the last 6 months
The storyline of the Oilers winning the cup down 3-0 with a guy named McJesus resurrected from the dead would be the best storyline in NHL history.
