Anyone calling McDavid overrated should not be a sports journalist. Just a goof looking for publicity.
It's just a columnist I don't even know if you would identify as the journalist. Basically a semi-retired opinion writer. The text version of a skip Bayless. But that's what people consume either because they're engaging with it out of criticism or they just watch it like a soap opera.

Well guys it’s Tim nobody here from Alberta. Die hard Oiler fan. It’s Thursday June 20 and the boys are playing game 6 tomorrow night. You guys are pretty quiet lately but I need to know is Connor overrated?

In fairness to them it's meant to be satirical. They are basically poking fun at a very bad call him written by a Miami sports columnist but this show is basically a giant inside joke. So it makes sense that not everyone gets it or appreciates it.

Clearly it’s the panthers who are over-rated…it’s so easy to see watching both teams. Edmonton is superior in talent as shown by the first four goals…perfectly executed and SKILL based. Florida got one goal on a lucky bounce off the cross bar, then essentially an OWN goal by Edmonton…the O.E.L. Goal was a decent play. Florida just tries to push people around, force interference calls, and flop for penalties. Oilers completing the comeback would be the best thing for the sport.

Good God. All these people did, was poke the bear. Hindsight is 20/20, but if there's one thing anyone who is even remotely in the hockey world has come to understand is, the way you beat McDavid, is by not giving him motivation.
Doubting the man, is the worst mistake many who have crossed his path, have made. Will these people give him the credit he is due now? Obviously not. They will die on their hill of misery and jealousy, of not having McDavid on their team.
If anyone is overrated, it's "Go High" Bobrovsky, who is now getting lit up like a set of traffic lights, when a team starts picking the puck up off the ice. Spotting him 3 games, is almost assured he will win the cup, but good God, get your heads out of your a**es in praising this guy as a Martin Brodeur or Patrick Roy.
I should add, none of this is aimed at the hosts of this show. You guys are actually great, and have come to like your shows over the past week or so. Very laid back and easy going. Nicely done. 🍻

I realize that Roy is only the Hockey guy because Dan says so, and I also realize the cost and charade for flying 3000 miles eas s gift and not business by the fantastic 2 comments of " fishing err swimming on the pond" when I do not believe Roy is a strong swimmer. The other comment was "That sucked". While it wasn't a lie it was certainly an opinion from a fan and ground breaking unbiased coverage. The national media is not channel 4 and 1 out of 100 real media outside Miami haven't a clue or care who Greg Cooter Kote is
