    I just got back from staying at the Hardrock. Not a bad hotel, but regardless of rebranding it was just a little too far from the Las Vegas Strip for us at around 1.2 miles away. If you are cost conscious, the Uber rides add up at around $11 each way with a $2 tip. Tried the buses, but they were not very efficient, but you can get a $5 bus pass that is good for all day.

      Probably PBC (Paradise Bay Club) I lived there too at that time and worked for the company that owned it (ConAm). What a great place to live and work back then. They tore it down to build "The Residences @ the Hard Rock" which never happened due to the economic collapse. Now it's the vacant lot in the end of this video. :(

    The poker room at Hard Rock is also legendary. I've never been there because they don't spread the games I play; but they have many devoted professional grinders who hang there almost exclusively, day in and day out. I'm sure this change will, for the most part, be unwelcomed by them.

    Seems your videos are one of a kind there in southern Nevada. Great the you are vlogging and documenting things as they are now. We'll all get to look back a decade and more in the future at what things were like now - in 2018.

    I am so sad to hear that the Hard Rock Hotel is not gonna be there in Vegas no more. When i moved to Vegas in the early 2000s that was the first place I went too. Being a musician I always loved going there to Eat out and see concerts. I met alot of cool people and had alot of fun. Ill never forget the Good times i had at the Hard Rock Hotel.

    Lived in Vegas from 96-02. Went to the Hard Rock all the time. The center bar was great along with the side bar to the right of the main entrance. You should do a vid on the Rio. That casino was the shit back in the late 90's. They started the whole nightclubs in casinos scenarios.

    It is a bit sad to see it change in the future. This was my party stomping grounds for years especially the circle bar in the casino. It used to just be a wooden bar with table n chairs. A fun pick up joint, although I 'm sure it still is.

    This Hard Rock is not affiliated with Hard Rock International Seminole which just recently opened HR Atlantic City. This one was a stand alone and Richard Branson bought it. There was a rumor that HR International was going to purchase The Cosmopolitan. This one has more personality then the AC one by a mile.

    Napster is building an underground network of cellular chambers beneath the strip. A series of small theaters connected by dark tunnels. It's called The CopyRight. Live music will be offered by cover bands performing re-creations of the music people love. Each chamber has it's own theme, patrons are bound to endure stellar performances. Universally, the place will be nostalgic. Children welcome, accommodations provided, attendance limited, reservations warranted, highly secured. Performers, staff, and management make-up the experience of a lifetime. Everyone in Las Vegas knows but No-one reveals this secret, revolutionary surprise that lurks beneath The Strip. It's The CopyRight. This place will be lit!

    I relocated to Vegas in 1998 with the Hard Rock Hotel being my favorite Off Strip.
    Pros - the expansion with extra rooms and parking and 2nd venue.
    Cons - not what it used to be.
    Future - suggested to Sir Richard Branson that Virgin Resort take out the slot machines / gambling, turn Hotel into giant Medical - Recreational Marijuana Resort. Be the 1st to let guests light up!

    If your driving from LA to Vegas, you might want to stop at Buffalo Bill's casino in Primm, Nevada, and go on the amusement rides. It might make a fun video of you on the roller coaster and the other rides. Primm is on the border between Nevada and California, and is about 30 miles from Las Vegas. there are about 4 or 5 casinos in Primm.

    • @653j521
      @653j521 6 років тому +2

      Adriana M In Vegas change is their business model. Keep it fresh, keep it new, or people won't come back to see what the latest thing is. And if you cater to the drunk and drugged, your hotel is eventually going to be too run down and smelly for those who are neither. The city is famous or infamous for total renovations and if it is cheaper, implosions and starting over. This is a place where the "historic" buildings date from the 1940s and 1950s. Most of us have living relatives older than that. :) If you are sad over change in Vegas, you are going to be sad a lot.

    the memorabilia is pretty cool, although they took down many of the pics on the wall near Paradise tower. The casino is weak as far as games/service/ and benefits. I also don't like that they evened out the casino floor a few years back. Previously it had a unique layout where everything on the outside was a few feet higher than the actual gambling area.
