Hey Dani, always love your videos. Been there lots of times and are keeping up with your new posts to plan for our trip in July. Maybe an idea for some videos would be what is it like to live in Vegas. Cost of living, employment, traffic, etc.... Keep up the great videos.
Great job as always Dani! Totally get the close but faraway from the strip thing lol I think It's been over 12 years since I've been there..I'm usually staying on the strip and if I venture off it's mostly just to the Stations like The Palms,Red Rock etc ...Have a good week!
Michael's in one of the last "Gourmet Rooms" in Las Vegas. Used to be on the Strip at Barbary Coast. Classic Continental cuisine. It's so old school that women are still given menus without prices!
The legendary South Point nice quiet and off the map away from the bright lights. Makes going to the main strip an adventure everyday and nothing beats those breakfast deals after a night out on the strip.
Another fine review of a off strip property. Those are the most fun. Thank you again for another fine showing of what to do off the strip. Brent Musberger is going to be hosting a Gambling show on XM at South Point.
It's a great locals casino and The Grandview Resort next door guests frequent this casino alot, too. Never stayed at the hotel but have stayed at The Grandview Resort. Had some good times here with music acts and Monday night football games, etc.
Back in April 2021 I really enjoyed the Silverado and Don Vito's. Great value in my opinion and food was better than average. Hotel room was nice and spacious, elegant even for a standard room. Their blackjack tables paid 3:2 for a blackjack, unheard of. I think of Southpoint as the last remaining icon of the old, pre-corporate Vegas.
At 1:20 there is a sign for the tournament bowling center. It is to the left of the equestrian arena and hosts the USBC Open Championships, Women's Open Championships and PBA tournaments. The bowling center near the movie theaters is used mainly for open play and leagues. The Brunswick room is a reception/meeting room.
Great Video Dani. I need to stay at South Point for a change of scenery one of these days. The movie theater and bowling alley might make for a needed break from gambling.
I knew this place existed but wasn't sure where. Thanks to you, now I do. Looks like a nice quaint little place if you want to get away from it all. Those food prices sure weren't the typical strip prices lol. Thanks for another great vid :)
Michael's in the 1980s was the place to dine in Las Vegas. Anyone who was anyone dined there. It was in the Barbary Coast Hotel when the property was sold Michael Gaughham moved the entire restaurant to his new South Coast Hotel. It is still considered the best Chop House in Las Vegas today. It is an absolute must-dine when in Vegas. Amazing food and Vegas history. It is like walking back in time. I wish they had not dropped the jacket and tie attire required that they once had.
Michael's. That may have originally been at the Barbary Coast! Not surprised not to see a menu, as back around 2003, they were just about the most expensive restaurant on the strip!
Very cool video have yet to stop there though , And actually the owner's son Brendan is quite the professional race car driver off road & trophy trucks , and then in the late 1990s , switched over to asphalt stock cars has multiple wins in nascar's national touring series , And he still competes part time with South Point hotel being the primary sponsor on the car , thanks guys 👍
I was at South Pointe last saturday for a family reunion, they all played Bingo upstairs while I walked around vlogging, then afterwards we ate at the buffet, cheap and delicious! Fortunately, no hair in our food :) staff was friendly and helpful as well! And one of the best things about South Pointe? Free parking!
Thanks for taking us around outside of the strip (which we never make). This hotel/casino is huge. Would not have guessed it was a casino outside the strip. Great video as always.
Actually, the South Point has TWO bowling venues. The bowling center which you showed but also near the arena (I think it's upstairs from the area) is the bowling plaza. That is for tournaments only and when the pros are in town, that is were they compete and where the finals are televised from.
Thanks for showcasing the South Point Casino. We have stayed several times. The rooms were nice, great food options, movie theatre, etc. We no longer stay there because their slots are super tight. Being off strip in South Point's case doesn't mean loose slots.
Let me just add their Coronado Café is very good. We have eaten breakfast there a few times. I'm not sure if they do this anymore, but they would bring out delicious coffee cake complimentary with our meal, yum!
I like those food price specials! Now I know I'm not gonna be up past midnight but I may be able to convince my wife to wake up at 5am and get there before 6 tho :-)
Rick Welles don’t forget that people coming from multiple time zone away. I’m from New York and have been up at five am. Might as well take advantage of the graveyard special.
That's great ! My friends also own a food kiosk (I don't know how you call it) in the arena ..it's called Salt & Pepper..I've been there in December 2015 during the cowboy convention..very nice and funny!
Thanks for another great and informative video. Do they have a shuttle that goes to the strip? If not, they should consider having one because I know a lot of people staying on the strip would visit this casino.
I have only been to Las Vegas one time many years ago (slightly after 9/11 when you could still drive over the Hoover Dam at the time but when they were in the process of building the bypass). I stayed next door to South Point. I remember it being a very cool casino. They were pretty new back then and since they were a ways off the main part of the strip, it seemed like they tried a little harder and I besides being a gathering place for the rodeo folks, I believe the owner has connections to NASCAR and a bunch of NASCAR teams stay there. When I was last there, a friend of mine did really good on video poker during the overnight hours.
Dani, you should do a two or three part video on Laughlin. Basic hotel casinos, I'm sure you can cover everything in one long day or two medium days. I would be interested in that.
@@Dani702 I think it would make for a fun video. You can even go to Oatman and video the egg fry competition during fourth of July. Fireworks show on the river as well.
After over booking a ✈️ flight Spirit airlines asked for a volunteer to be bump. So I volunteered. They gave me a 500$ online voucher and they booked me here. It was nice and I saw my first rodeo here.
I’m pretty sure most people don’t know this but I’ve been going to that hotel for about 4 years for the Vegas shoot it is the world biggest archery shoot Edit I am an archer so that’s why I know
Forgot the Dennis Bono show. Free live taping every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. He does a classic Vegas lounge act. Singing. Dancing. Lot"s of jokes and Vegas chit-chat. Best thing is. Celebrities sometimes stop by. Rich Little is still really good.
Too bad this Casino is so far from the Strip, as it is a nice Casino. I ate at the Steak and Shake, not too bad for fast food. Thanks for the Tour, always interesting.
I was staying at the palazzo, and then I went to get on my flight back home, and then the flight got cancelled, and we got vouchers to stay here. I’m in the hotel rn. I guess this place is fine, but I just wanted to go home -_-
Haha things have been a little crazy at work for the both of us and we haven't had the same days off for a little while. I'm hoping he can go with me soon though.
I looked around on the web for a free shuttle to the strip from South Point, but found none. To get to the Strip, without your own car, you need a taxi or Uber.
I'll be there next Thursday to go to a Vegas memorabilia expo. I'll have the prime rib dinner at the garden buffet. I'll check for a hair in the food..thanks Derek!
This is the resort for people who love Vegas but don't like the business of strip lol Its a nice place and looks so clean. Thanks for the tour Dani ;)
Dani, your newest video is extremely well done and as always you are fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing.
I'm running out of superlatives for your videos Dani! Outstanding again!! PLEASE keep 'em coming!
Thanks for 'options' and for sharing great tips & info. ALWAYS informative, entertaining & fun!
Love this place, after a night of partying I want to rest and chill, this is it. Loved the Theater and the pool.
Another well done video. Thanks Dani! Always enjoying these! ❤️
Hi Dani! It was nice to see this hotel. Never have been there but it looks nice. Another great video! Thank you!!! 👍🏻

I've never been here but it does look like a beautiful property. Dani, killin it yet again! 💚😁🤘

Decent all day Bingo options. Friendly staff. Its not as good as the Tribal Bingo back home, but a good way to kill time in Las Vegas.

I stay here when I’m in Vegas for NASCAR. They have great race packages including transportation to the track.
I don’t get very far when I drive because I only turn left
🤣🍻
I loved it so much there. I must return.

ONG SAME I STAY THERE ONCE A WEEK EVER YEAR
I always stay at South Point. Barbershop is awesome.
Awesome video as always Dani keep up the good work 😎
The 64 lane bowling facility is for the public. The 60 lane bowling facility is for tournaments only. Just clarifying.
We enjoyed South Point...big place... thanks for sharing
Thanks for another great and informative video. Do they have a shuttle that goes to the strip? If not, they should consider having one because I know a lot of people staying on the strip would visit this casino.
I don't think they have a shuttle. One website said they did but another said they didn't. I can't remember ever seeing one though.

FYI, last time I was in Vegas just a couple or years ago you can drive over Hoover Dam.

I hope to go to the Rio soon.
Another great video! Thanks
Dani Brunswick room is a billiards room to play pool if I heard you right.
Oh ok. Makes sense. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the video´s and stuff. ;-)
That restaurant with no menu was probably a speakeasy!😃
If there is no price on the menu it means I can’t afford it
The Brunswick room looks like a place for receptions.
That place looks like it has a lot of cool stuff. like the arcade and bowling alley.
i remember the gravitron ride from the texas state fair

Haha things have been a little crazy at work for the both of us and we haven't had the same days off for a little while. I'm hoping he can go with me soon though.
I was at the Time out arcade :)
Binion was also the man behind the original World Series of Poker!
Thank you for sharing.
That Dragon Link totally looks like a mini gravatron!
Haha glad I'm not the only one who sees it.
My guess is that the Brunswick room is a pool hall. Thanks Dani =)
Thanks! That makes sense.
Its a meeting room. Brunswick is a bowling brand. They do league meetings and stuff like that
When did you film this? I was there at the south point Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Maaaaan, i missed you
I was there Wednesday. I hope you had an awesome time.

Hi!! Could you make video of the souvenirs shops please?? Thank you!!!
How bout you show us the Slots 🎰 gives us something to look forward too! Thanks
I looked around on the web for a free shuttle to the strip from South Point, but found none.
To get to the Strip, without your own car, you need a taxi or Uber.
We've taken the bus. It wasn't too bad.
I didn't see a shuttle either. 🤔
They have a separate area for bowling tournaments
I've been there once and I still haven't made it to the Bass Pro Shop.
I love Bass pro shop.
I'll be there next Thursday to go to a Vegas memorabilia expo. I'll have the prime rib dinner at the garden buffet. I'll check for a hair in the food..thanks Derek!
Is that the casino that had its own TV show based on it
I'm not sure which show your talking about. But I don't remember reading anything about that. I could be wrong though
I went there
Didn't they host the MDA telethon there?
I'm not sure what that is. 🤔
