I went to the Luxor the year it opened and went again about 1o years ago. I cannot tell you how much it has gone downhill. That whole atrium used to be lit, so much more brightness and color. Now it feels like a real pyramid....a tomb.
My family stayed here in I think summer 1996. I was a kid but loved it. There were a ton of things to learn about Egypt. There were people dressed on costumes working along the Nile tour... there was a really great video game arcade... down below there was a recreation of King Tut's tomb and a gift shop with stone scarabs and ancient Egyptian coins. Ive stayed again since then and its not the full experience it originally was.
It's because egypt was full black in the BC times. Alot shown can't be shown anymore it's big deep old history. Shuts down islam immediately in a minute. Big hidden geographical history. Involves OLMECS of n.mexico too. Involves carthage and original greece. Hindu people are effected by that history as well. Because kushite black women began the hindi India race.
They have the King Tut museum exhibit now which is really cool. Then right next to it is the Titanic museum, which is far and away one of the coolest things I've ever seen and not expensive.
So you basically paid to stay in a giant replica of a tomb, got vertigo finding your way around, had to take out a small loan just to get some breakfast and then had your shorts stolen! And the ghosts were a no show...you do these things so we dont have to, Tim 😂😂
A bed bug ‘expert’ on Radio 2 said as soon as you get into your hotel room, put your suitcases and bags into the bath then check for bedbugs. Only takes seconds for the buggers to get into your cases - they can’t climb into baths 😅
I imagine the elevators are probably the biggest issue for building management. I can't imagine they're easy to maintain, considering how rare incline elevators typically are.
Agreed! The hallways did indeed smell like ancient cigarette smoke, and the vertigo from navigating them made me pity the cleaning staff. Was a once in a lifetime experience since I henceforth vowed to stay only in traditional right-angled hotels. Anyway, thanks for the brilliant tour, Tim!
I stayed there a few years ago and a bunch of drunk dudes started throwing furniture over the balcony into the atrium from one of the top floors. I remember the sounds of the furniture slamming into the buildings below and the pieces shattering all over the floor and sliding on the tiles. Someone got hit in the head but survived. It scared me going in there the rest of the holiday.
I stayed there several times when it first open and it was beautiful. I recently stayed there and I couldn’t believe how run down and dated the room and even parts of the hotel. I did also noticed the hotel and room had a old smell and elevators suck but had a nice time with family. Thanks again for another cool and informative video.
I love Tim’s British perspective on American hotels it’s really refreshing and feels like I’m there with him! Great video again Tim! Looking forward for more! ❤
We’re staying here right now. We got a great upgrade to a corner pyramid suite with a massive tub. The walk from the inclinators to our corner room takes two and a half minutes to walk to!
These are the sorts of videos that help people choose where to stay in Vegas. I did this when I went in 2012 as I wanted to stay at the Bellagio until I saw the videos of the rooms and what I can only describe as old granny bedrooms. I ended up at the Aria which was very modern and had all the tech back then. Keep up the good work Tim.
Yeah, as you can imaging, a Casino has a theme and 70% of the rooms are more or less copy and paste (these are the more budget room), the high end rooms/complementry rooms (almost like apartment flats) is where they literally splash their budget, high rollers and famous people are held in high regard to us common folk.
Vegas or at least the Strip is for pensioners. Today's old people are wasting their family wealth gambling rather than leaving anything for their children. It's just embarrassing to most young people. Young people are only in Vegas for shows and a laugh.
Your Vegas series has been so helpful. I'm going to Las Vegas in a few months for the first time ever for leisure (been a half dozen times for work, usually in a Hampton Inn or such, which is fine by me, but not my friends for vacation). Your reviews are so thorough and hit all the sort of things I want to know... like is there a fridge in the room and more importantly is it one you'd want to even bother with, or toiletries offered, or upkeep of furniture, etc. Thank you!
Hi Tim. Ive always thought this hotel was all glitz and glamour. Looks very modern down stairs, but shocked to see the rooms looking very dull and in need of a massive makeover. Those lifts condition really suprised me to be damaged like that to think of the clientele that can afford this place. Yes breakfast price was ridiculous so i be taking a week of pack lunches lol. That price seems. Expensive.
Back in 2002, my Dad took a trip to Vegas with my uncles and aunts, leaving my mom behind to handle the start of school with us kids. I vividly recall watching the camcorder footage of his adventure through the hotel and in fact we still have it!; my jaw dropped as I realized just how massive it was with all the footage he took it almost felt like i was there. From the bustling airport seen from his window to the planes soaring overhead, the scale was awe-inspiring. Looking back, I can't help but chuckle at my younger self's shock at this cool place, vegas seemed light years ahead with everything. Time has a funny way of altering our perceptions, hasn't it? It seems like those older hotels are now focused on maximizing profits, perhaps sensing the inevitable shift toward newer, more modern accommodations. It's as if they're bracing for the inevitable transition, doubling down on standards to stay relevant until the very end.
It’s the whole approach and idea that seems to be dying, this was made in the years of optimism and some sort of naivety. Nowadays everything is changed and people are different.
I think one of the biggest problems Luxor has is so much was built custom for it. There are no replacement parts for those elevators...inclinators, the HVAC in the rooms, etc. That makes the cost of maintenance and renovation exceedingly high in a time when everything uses off the shelf components.
@@WalkWithMeTim Given that you now have global viewership, it's time to switch to showing the prices in dollars (you could also show the prices in Euros and pounds in the screen but not say it out aloud)
Your videos are absolutely fantastic and also provide such a tremendous public service. It's a shame that hospitality has undergone such disappointing changes, first in how services are delivered to customers, and second, in how many amenities that we once used to enjoy and expect have disappeared. Excellent content!
got to say from virgin atlantic UC and now vegas hotel stuff, this channel is getting better and better, make the videos an hour long Tim, we want to see it all! From checking all the dirty parts of the hotel, different rooms, what room service is like etc etc - you are the best at these videos. Such a likeable presenter.
Walking down those hallways is the strangest feeling! After seeing what the rooms and pools look like in the Luxor, I think I prefer the Excalibur. The spooky facts were very interesting too. This video has taught me some new things about the hotel. Great video!
Thank you very the LUX tour, me and the MRS. Love this hotel. We have stayed there many times over the years. I have never found bedbugs, if we had issues with the room staff fixed it or moved us. We were there when temps reached 110F plus, staff found rooms to move you to the opposite side of the building. We do enjoy the towers the rooms are bigger
Tim invites 4 people to join him in a shower and then at 20:30 he is addressing the camera with his fly down ……… 😂😂 good work Tim keep it up really enjoy the videos .
OH, his fly was down?? Poor Tim! 😂 I noticed, but I thought he was just wearing those kinds of shorts that have a button fly rather than a zip. Whoops!
I love how positive you are. I've been to Vegas so many times & Luxor was 1 of the ones I could've used my discount at, but I still never stayed there. I'm glad after seeing it, but I just got a bad vibe, I knew it'd be outdated.
My late husband and I stayed there somewhere around late 1990's or early 2000's. It was the filthiest room I ever saw. Plus, when I sat on the edge of the bed, a spring popped up through the mattress, cutting my thigh. I looked under the sheet and could tell it didn't just happen because there were a few other holes in the mattress. After complaining to the staff at the check in desk the guy looked me up and down (I am a plus size woman, probably 170 lbs. at the time) and said "Are you SURE it didn't just happen?". So insulting. They ended up giving us a suite. It was obviously under cleaned. There was trash left in dresser drawers, hair in the tub, dust around the bed and the TV remote was missing, rendering it useless. And there was a cart with dirty dishes piled up just outside our door that stayed there the entire 3 days we were there. I would never stay there again. Not just because of the dirtiness, but because of the insulting way I was treated.
I stayed there one Sat night in 2015, The room had no fridge, no coffee making facilities and the worst mould I'd ever seen in a hotel shower . I rang room service and they told me if i wanted food or drink or including water I had to go downstairs to the main mall area and mingle with the masses. Room service sent a guy up to clean the shower but for what I paid I'd never stay there again.
Thanks for sharing this walk through. We had stayed there three different times over the years. First time was about a year or so after it opened. Back then they had people who walked around the main areas dressed up as King Tut and Queen Nefertiti who guided you towards the attractions. In the room, the Egyptian theme decorated the cabinets and the shampoo bottles were shaped like obelisks. It's too bad they let that design go was it was really attractive. The rooms also were very bright and cheerful with light colored woods that gave the sense of living in the desert. Luxor is sure showing its age and I hope they redesign the property to make feel new again.
Oh goodness i was expecting so much more from that bedroom plus the lifts and the dim corridors because from the outside and approach to reception i thought wow looked good. I am quite a good walker but the length of those corridors would be so tiring .....Enjoying watching your trip.
Stayed here on our first trip to Vegas back in the 90`s and it was an amazing experience. Heartbreaking to see how they have de-themed it and let it deteriorate. 😪
Being kept awake by a fly that won’t die! So a new Tim is always a treat. Lying on the sofa and getting chills looking over the edges! Thanks for sharing. I think this is the first hotel that’s made me genuinely want to visit for the hotel rather than the resort!
I love watching his videos as a local and somebody who works down at these hotels/casinos. Always interesting to see how the rooms of the hotels I work at look.
Just returned from a 3 day stay. We have stayed there many times. We stayed in a tower room which is newer and more modern. We had a small wet bar with a coffee machine at no extra cost. We stayed Sunday-Tuesday so we got a nicer room upgrade for free. This is one of the perks of coming during the week instead of the weekend. It is older and has a bit of a musty smell but other than that it is still an awesome structure! It's fun, affordable and economic. We had a good time!
I stayed at the Luxor little less than a month ago and thought it was a dump - lifts took 10-15 minutes. Parts of the room wall were visibly chipped, the paint on the bathroom door was peeling, as was the ceiling in the shower. The lifts themselves seemed to be in disrepair, as you showed in your video. I complained to the manager and they took off the resort fees, but I wouldn't recommend staying there again. Actually going back to Vegas a few weeks after getting back from Britain but am going to Planet Hollywood. Great pity, I used to really like the Luxor. Granted not high end like Wynn, but still was a nice place. Alas no longer. Dunno if they have bed bugs, but it wouldn't surprise me. All in all, not worth staying at Luxor given that it's a long walk from every place else. In any case, safe travels back to the UK.
I first stayed at the Luxor in the year 2000 which was a present from my parents as I finished an around the world trip. I was pleasantly surprised then by it as I expected it to be extremely tacky, but the Egyptian theming back then they did very well. I think you should start either a pillows for hotels company or a coffee machine company!
I agree with you on the pillow. 👍 They ought to provide two soft and two firm. The soft not only don't support neck and heat face but nearly suffocate to death.
Great vlog as always, I stayed there in 2001 and it looks the same! I remember the room smelt like old smoke but it could have been the air conditioner pumping out stale air ! I absolutely loved the sheer scale of the place, my jaw dropped when I first walked in. The Egytian themed things still look great, it's a pity they didn't make the rooms in the same classic style then maybe they wouldn't look so 90's now. Can't wait for the next video, I remember Ceasar's Palace was really interesting inside with great shops!
Terrible place to stay in, but the shops and events are great. Just head (south) towards Mandalay Bay and the connecting shopping mall is fantastic. Since parking is free for locals, we all park at Luxor, walk in, go up past the food court and then right. Out of the hotel in 2 minutes. And then head down to the mall and eating areas towards Mandalay Bay. Yes, that's right - the giant bridge you see connecting the two from the outside is an entire shopping center. that also connects to the more normal towers to the south. All of the places inside it are far better than inside the Luxor as well.
okay. for several reasons Luxor is my home away from home. an easy indoor walk into mandalay bay. a short walk to mgm grand. cheaper rates than both and who really stays in their room that much. there are a lot of absolutely wonderful people who work there. I always get a hug from the cafe hostess who seated you and the waitress in the background is a sweetheart. but yes, the pyramid itself kinda sucks to stay in. however the towers are nice. always my choice. lots of remodeling this year. new casino paint and carpet. lots of improvements in the bathrooms...fixtures and shower doors. so many their are my second family. have known some for over 25 years. this is not one of mgm's higher end properties but it certainly is not as bad as some portray. just go with the towers!! oh yeah...be there in 3 days...yippee!!
Loved that. That hotel is huge! The atrium was amazing but the room was rather dated and there was a definite Overlook Hotel feel about those corridors 👻 Honestly, it makes my evening to see a new Walk With Me Tim video drop 😊
As a regular uk Luxor visitor (56 trips..) Happy to fill you in on a few fun facts... In MGM properties neither fridges or coffee makers come as standard in regular rooms. And the construction you can see is going to be a "Play Playground" 1st of its kind with interactive games and activities, over 21 in the evenings. Floor 10 is the most haunted, a man committed suicide there.Floor 27 is also haunted by a young woman who jumped from the atrium. I've stayed all over the strip, Luxor is still my favourite, been coming since 1990s. The Tower rooms are luxurious, highly recommend, the lifts are quick too. Ps it's inclinator😊
@@jamiestewart48 yep, and I tried it out and always come back to Luxor, been doing the strip for over 30 years and stayed in at least 20 other places on n off strip.. it can't be beaten 😊 ps, have also travelled most of Asia and Europe, still call Luxor LV home 👍🏻
@@spookypeg666 I like to experience the full experience when I stay at Luxor which is the Pyramid which means the room and walking out to look down and stuff. Not some new tower that has nothing to do with Luxor.
Great video as always Tim, was surprised how "reasonable" that room was - was expecting it to be near double that. The sheer scale and commercialisation of it all reminds me why Vegas is one of these places I'd never go to but its always great to see places that you'll never go!
Fun fact. All the furniture in your room came from the Bellagio from their recent renovation! But to explain the state of the hotel, the luxor is one of those hotels that is a victim of the great "de-themeing" of Vegas where all the themed hotels lose their theme, get only the most basic renovations and they dont put money into them because they're "chintzy" and "tacky" (see also Excalibur, Circus Circus, etc). Its not bad not as fabulous as it once was, but I have a soft spot for campy hotels. If you want a REALLY bad hotel, check out the Rio, Ellis Island, Or OYO. Those are GNARLY
Yup, it’s the old Bellagio furniture and I’m almost certain the sun loungers are from the Bellagio as they were all replaced half way through our stay in June this year. Bellagio new shiny loungers, Luxor old Bellagio loungers.
OYO was SO BAD. I stayed there last year for a single night because of a hotel reservation snafu at the Bellagio, and not only was its nasty, but I felt totally unsafe staying alone. The locks on my door weren’t fully secure and my room was right next to the stairs. Every time someone closed their room door, it would rattle mine and scare me.
It's actually shocking how it looks now and how run down it is. I was at the Luxor about 16 years ago and back then it was a hundred times better, nicer and more fitting looking.
I just discovered your channel and I am really enjoying it. Nice to see what I am not missing and at times what I am missing. After watching your video about the Wynn Hotel and then seeing the Luxor one, WOW what a difference. The Wynn is beautiful the Luxor not so much.
Interesting to get a look at this place. I remember going through there on a family vacation as a kid back in the mid 90s. We didn't stay overnight but I did get to spend some time in the arcade there which, as best I can recall, was very large and took up two floors. To a 10 year old THAT was really all I cared about! Thanks for the video :D
Wow Tim this Hotel was so surprising it had me laughing😂 You never fail to surprise! I honesty expected a real dive of a place in a really dinghy area of Las Vegas. But this Pyramid was a delight! The Grand Entrance was an experience in itself & then The Titanic Exhibition well i was absolutely sold! Ive always been interested in The Titanic since i was 14, it a shame it wasn't open i would of loved to see it. The dead body museum sounded very fitting for the spooky season, a touch of the macarbre! I loved all the levels & the balconys from the rooms where you could look out & see all the different restaurants & things to do & yes the people did look like little Ants from high up! I was really excited about the Casino tho i understand you probably couldn't film in there with all that wild money flying about! Your room was definitely showing its age the bed sounded uncomfortable & the room was very dated. And needed a refurb. In fact the whole hotel probably needs a proper refurb to get rid of the smell of old smoke. I did actually take to that psychedelic Carpet on the video. Its a shame its not all brand new. But having said that it does have a cosiness about it especially the Pyramid Restaurant, personally for me thst had more charm than Costas that all look the same with cardboard food. I hope the food experience in there was nice Tim. Your Swimming Pants going missing was a mystery 🤔😂 But the pool area was lovely with the Egyptian Theme everywhere outside. Really a truly amazing experience Tim. I was so happy looking around only wish we could have all been there with you.. The only bit that felt spooky to me was the area at the top it looked deserted up there & the spooky story about the workers who might of died there! But overall i really found this Hotel to be a special gem & certainly not a place ive ever imagined...
I love firmer pillows, too. So far the Luxor looks a little worn out compared to the Wynn. I appreciate you sharing these videos. OK, had to add in that it looks really beat up. This poor hotel needs a refresh and I bet it's the carpet that's stinky.
Yay new video! I've stayed in the Luxor. The booking was messed up and we got upgraded to a suite. It was like a whole separate living room extra. And yeah the hotel is massive. Lots of walking. I remember the underground cafe breakfast was amazing. First time I had ribs at breakfast lol. Good old Vegas
Wow that was interesting Tim. We stayed in the Luxor in 2003, it looks so different not and is showing it's age. We had a room overlooking McCarran airport which was a real treat for me but the prices are so shocking now, don't think I could aford it. Love your vlogs though xx
American bacon always looks so delicious. Speaking of The Shining, maybe you could save up some pennies and go and check out The Stanley Hotel in Colorado (I think) which was the inspiration for The Overlook…and is apparently the most haunted hotel in America. That would be fascinating.
I get such a rush of nostalgia every time I stay at Luxor. Been going to Vegas since I was 13 years old in the mid 90's. And Luxor never disappoints every time I stay here.
I stayed there back when the “Nile river” was going through the hotel, the boat ride was short but was fun to do. My room was on the bottom floor but I didn’t mind at all, close to everything
Booked 3 night 20 years ago and checked out after one day. Absolute dump. Always remember the receptionist, when I offered to pay for the 3 nights at check in, she said let pay for today and see how we go. Thank god she did. Moved to the Mandalay bay the following morning. Not sure which is more tragic the buffet or the pool. Tim has been before so he has no excuse 😂
when i was there it was a building site, but even when fully open its not very imaginative, just a couple of holes in the concrete deck. there are far nicer pool complex's in vegas in my opinion. a bit of landscaping wouldnt go a miss.
Lol! Few years ago, I booked a suite for a ludicrously small fee at the Luxor. We looked out on the Sphinx’s rear end every morning! Nice hotel and wonderful room. We just left the drapes closed.
I must admit, that room is so underwhelming when you consider what's on the other side of the door! I would not be happy with it with all the money it would cost to get there 😂
He must have stayed on a Saturday, and he paid an early check-in fee, but checked in "rather late" which is just wasteful. I stayed twice this year (both mid-week) and my most expensive day was $57 + $36 resort fee for a total of $93 (and the cheapest was less than $70 total). Also, my first trip, after talking to the rewards desk, they were able to reduce my bill for a substantial portion because I had a moderate amount of playing time in the casino.
In the Luxor hotel you can go see the TITANIC EXHIBITION which has a huge piece of the TITANIC there. My bf took me to see the TITANIC EXHIBITION for one of my birthdays. I loved it and recommend it to anyone who is fascinated by the TITANIC. My sister took me last year for my birthday to see the KING TUT EXHIBITION and again I recommend it.. Thank you for sharing your adventure in Las Vegas..
The tower rooms are evidently much newer and where all of their best effort goes into. There also is a convention center there. This is a hidden gem that most business travelers know about as there is a direct shuttle from the local airport to the hotel. Go in, head south to the towers and the shopping mall. And no tourists :) Rates are under $100 with a $30 food credit if you book a bit in advance, since the tower is less "touristy" and fills up slower.
This was the first hotel I stayed in, on my first visit to Vegas, back in 2001. It was amazing and nothing like it is now. I can't believe how bad it has gone.
This place is incredible: very 'futuristic' looking, and they even have the "Titanic" exhibition that contains actual recovered artifacts from the doomed liner.
No refrigerator, no mini bar, the bed looks gross…No amenities..and all that distance to get to anything..no thanks. Looks like Vegas hotels are not aging or maintained very well
I was there a couple years ago and didn’t wanna stay there for obvious reasons, it’s notorious for a lot of things but my husband doesn’t really believe in ghosts and I stayed awake all night 😂😂
Its amazing as you go to the really expensive hotels, flights and such and there is so much that is missed by the hotel staff, service teams and damage that is not fixed. Some things are just cheaply done. Its like they are coasting as long as they can before spending money. I get it in some way that some things (as long as they still work) just don't need immediate attention. Thank you for pointing these things out.
I remember when I first opened. I loved it. The boat ride, the restaurant had great burgers. The inclinador was awesome. Moss the old hotels when they were clean.
It always amazes me that what the US calls a premium room in a good hotel is very poor compared to Europe, Asia etc. I've stayed in Casino hotels in Australia who would be embarrassed to rent rooms like that
Yeah this is an ancient, dated hotel by Vegas standards. This is harldy the representation of all the more modern Hotels built the last 20 years. These old hotels used to allow smoking so they all have that old cigarette stain/smell. Vegas builds new hotels every 2-3 years and is always evolving . This casino will proably be gutted soon

Thanks Tim for being so kind and showing us amazing locations I love to support you and Gaby in anyway I can keep up the great work
Wow Craig. You are to kind 💛 thanks so much
I think one of the biggest problems Luxor has is so much was built custom for it. There are no replacement parts for those elevators...inclinators, the HVAC in the rooms, etc. That makes the cost of maintenance and renovation exceedingly high in a time when everything uses off the shelf components.
What I love about Tim’s channel is the variety… Today I’ve been to Lanzarote, Weymouth, Liverpool and Las Vegas ❤️
Great to hear! thank you
@@WalkWithMeTim Given that you now have global viewership, it's time to switch to showing the prices in dollars (you could also show the prices in Euros and pounds in the screen but not say it out aloud)
Lost your shorts, however…
…if you’re not careful, your horse is going to get out of the barn 😂
i was wondering if I was the only one who noticed.
Walking down those hallways is the strangest feeling! After seeing what the rooms and pools look like in the Luxor, I think I prefer the Excalibur. The spooky facts were very interesting too. This video has taught me some new things about the hotel. Great video!
I totally agree!
Me too
Thank you very the LUX tour, me and the MRS.
Why were you looking at his fly😂😂 so now I'm gonna have to look
I was hoping I wasn't the only one to notice 😅
Yep, it was down, maybe he was preparing for his trunks and forgot it was down when his trunks were gone?
OH, his fly was down?? Poor Tim! 😂 I noticed, but I thought he was just wearing those kinds of shorts that have a button fly rather than a zip. Whoops!
Bahahahahaha😂 I noticed that too. My brothers always forget so im used to catching it 😂
I love how positive you are. I've been to Vegas so many times & Luxor was 1 of the ones I could've used my discount at, but I still never stayed there. I'm glad after seeing it, but I just got a bad vibe, I knew it'd be outdated.
It’s always so odd to see such grand places have such run down areas. You couldn’t pay me to get into those lifts 😂😂😂
The ghost not only stole your shorts, but he pulled your fly down also.
😂
Not just because of the dirtiness, but because of the insulting way I was treated.
lmao fatass broke the damn bed 😭😭
That is sooo not cool! My sympathies.
Thanks for sharing your experience, but that was like 25-30 years ago. I wonder how it has changed since then.
Thanks for watching
Stayed here on our first trip to Vegas back in the 90`s and it was an amazing experience. Heartbreaking to see how they have de-themed it and let it deteriorate. 😪
This is sadly happening throughout the US.
Being kept awake by a fly that won’t die! So a new Tim is always a treat. Lying on the sofa and getting chills looking over the edges! Thanks for sharing. I think this is the first hotel that’s made me genuinely want to visit for the hotel rather than the resort!
At 20:36 - during ‘short gate’ think you’re flying at half mast there Tim 😂
I hate those sort of flies! Had one in my room two weeks ago that kept me awake (it got in when my brother accidentally left the front door open). 😡
I love watching his videos as a local and somebody who works down at these hotels/casinos. Always interesting to see how the rooms of the hotels I work at look.
My days not complete without Tim's shower to people ratio 😂
lol
I agree unless it fits 4 or more it's a concern 😂
I like to guess how many Tim is going to say can fit in, lol
Or the BED BUGS LOL
You know he's fills it with the laaaaaaydeez once the camara is off.😂😂😂
Just returned from a 3 day stay.
So fun that your fly was open, when you talked about your lost swinging shorts😂 love your videos BTW.. ❤
Probably just wanted to prove he wasnt wearing them 😂
Ah, not just me that noticed that then! 😳
@@BlueSpeedMouse79%qq%q
Thank you. I thought I was the only one that noticed
Even funnier that you wrote "swinging shorts".
Swinging a bit too much, thank you!
I agree with you on the pillow. 👍
They ought to provide two soft and two firm.
The soft not only don't support neck and
heat face but nearly suffocate to death.
"make the rooms in the same classic style then maybe they wouldn't look so 90's now" 🤔👍
Terrible place to stay in, but the shops and events are great.
@20:30 the zip on your shorts disappeared as well 😄
Hi Tim, we started watching you and Gaby for inspiration for our honeymoon but now I'm hooked, love the content and watch every day
wow thanks Kelly
okay. for several reasons Luxor is my home away from home. an easy indoor walk into mandalay bay. a short walk to mgm grand. cheaper rates than both and who really stays in their room that much. there are a lot of absolutely wonderful people who work there.
The atrium was amazing but the room was rather dated and there was a definite Overlook Hotel feel about those corridors 👻
Honestly, it makes my evening to see a new Walk With Me Tim video drop 😊
56 times? There is a whole world out there my friend!
Why stay in a tower room? That defeats the whole purpose.
@@JohnBarney-yd2wq not at all, you get the fun of the pyramid with the luxury of the tower, perfect combo 👌🏻
@@spookypeg666 I like to experience the full experience when I stay at Luxor which is the Pyramid which means the room and walking out to look down and stuff. Not some new tower that has nothing to do with Luxor.
Hi Tim, which vlogging camera are you using? I really like the way that it's so stable
Great video as always Tim, was surprised how "reasonable" that room was - was expecting it to be near double that. The sheer scale and commercialisation of it all reminds me why Vegas is one of these places I'd never go to but its always great to see places that you'll never go!
Love the videos tim, dont know if its me but at 20:31 your flys seem to be undone lool incase you was walking around like that keep up the good work
Those are GNARLY
really ? it does look out of place lol
@@thejokersmistress15OYO was the „Hooters“ before, Right? When they didn‘t renovate anything, it is really a Bad place to stay😅
Having a tough Sunday, but seeing a new Tim video is coming soon has made me feel a ‘lil bit better. 😊
Hope all is OK
Best wishes Pandalind, I hope the day improves for you.
Really ? 😂😂
My guess it's not so tough then
Wishing you kindness and health
Excellent review, thank you!
Beautiful place. What a concept! Thanks for the profile on Luxor.💛
Wow Tim this Hotel was so surprising it had me laughing😂
You never fail to surprise!
Your Swimming Pants going missing was a mystery 🤔😂
But the pool area was lovely with the Egyptian Theme everywhere outside.
Good old Vegas
lol best way to do it
Very rich content as always, I love all your video 👍
well done for having your flies undone for the entire section talking about your disappearing swimming shorts 🙂
I've really taken a liking to your videos. I find them so relaxing lol
Glad you like them!
Wow that was interesting Tim. We stayed in the Luxor in 2003, it looks so different not and is showing it's age. We had a room overlooking McCarran airport which was a real treat for me but the prices are so shocking now, don't think I could aford it. Love your vlogs though xx
Watching this for a second time, very good review.
American bacon always looks so delicious. Speaking of The Shining, maybe you could save up some pennies and go and check out The Stanley Hotel in Colorado (I think) which was the inspiration for The Overlook…and is apparently the most haunted hotel in America. That would be fascinating.
yes I have been looking at that ;-)
🚪 🪓 “Heeeerrreeeeee’s JOHNNY!”
Excellent video 😎🧃👌
I get such a rush of nostalgia every time I stay at Luxor. Been going to Vegas since I was 13 years old in the mid 90's. And Luxor never disappoints every time I stay here.
💯 my fave hotel.
Tim has been before so he has no excuse 😂
lol it was not to bad in 2006 or tbh I stayed in the towers
What was your beef with the pool?
when i was there it was a building site, but even when fully open its not very imaginative, just a couple of holes in the concrete deck. there are far nicer pool complex's in vegas in my opinion. a bit of landscaping wouldnt go a miss.
I would not be happy with it with all the money it would cost to get there 😂
Sort of like a Super 8 without the coffee maker. But hell, most are there to see the sights and loose some money, or a lot of money.
@@iworkout6912 Very true! Mind you, having lost all my money in the casino, I would want a happier looking room to cry in 😂
He must have stayed on a Saturday, and he paid an early check-in fee, but checked in "rather late" which is just wasteful.
I love it, but i am Danish, maybe thats why. We don't complain alot.
@@grapesodatravels yeah the hotel rooms look very dated and battered, definitely showing it's age
20:03 Tim's fly is down. lol
Thanks for the guided tour.
Its crazy to think compared with your other Vegas videos of HUGE hotels, how many tourists are expected at the same time to fill up these places.
Great to see the Luxor, was waiting to see a video from you to see what the inside was like
You just saved me from a horrible hotel stay. I cancelled my booking at the Luxor and opted for another location. Thank you !!!!
Omg noooo you didn’t! I have not watched the video yet. But we absolutely loved the experience at Luxor. Like to stay again.
This actually convinced me to stay here. It's really unique. I guess to each their own.
@@max_rove Yes to each his own
Great vid! I’ve never been to Vegas but when I do go I had Luxor top of the list to stay but not sure which hotel is the best
Cancelled my booking because of this thank you mate!
You should have checked it out for yourself.
Love these videos. I am not a fan of Vegas but many are so great review!
You get a ticket with the name of an actual passenger. At the end you get to find out if you drowned. I did.
Great video Tim! The complex looks great the rooms have seen better days!
I have found that hotels with a Starbucks inside usually don’t have coffee makers in the rooms.
Keep up the good work TIM
No refrigerator, no mini bar, the bed looks gross…No amenities..and all that distance to get to anything..no thanks. Looks like Vegas hotels are not aging or maintained very well
I stayed in Bellagio for two weeks when my family and I travelled in Vegas, and watching this, I’m glad we did.
Me and my husband have started a drinking game. It’s called drink when Tim says “they look like ants” 😂😂😂
Sick videos mate. Always watching bro. Keep it up mate
Tim, don't put your suitcase on the bed at any point if they had bed bugs. They will climb into your suitcase and then you bring them home 😮
You beat me to it!
Brought home the other crawly things from Malta. Cockroaches
I’ve stayed there before and the rooms were crazy hot and the AC would barely keep it somewhat so you didn’t sweat yourself to death.
DUDE, zip your fly up, could almost see Cleopatra's Needle
ha ha hah
I remember when I first opened. I loved it. The boat ride, the restaurant had great burgers. The inclinador was awesome. Moss the old hotels when they were clean.
It always amazes me that what the US calls a premium room in a good hotel is very poor compared to Europe, Asia etc. I've stayed in Casino hotels in Australia who would be embarrassed to rent rooms like that
There are better hotel rooms in las Vegas than the pyramid right now but the pyramid was beautiful in the past
😊 I hope you do review the Excalibur and then review the new fountain blue one it opens I have yet to see the new resort yet😊
Interesting to see. I have never been to LV nor ever been tempted. Its good to see I am not missing out ;-)
I loved this video!
