- 10 Traditional Slovakian Food {Slovakian Food}
Slovakia a landlocked country located in Central Europe. The capital city is Bratislava while other bigger cities are Nitra, Koshice, Banska Bystrica and Preshov. The climate in this country is moderate continental which makes it perfect for cultivating grains, sugar beet, potatoes, flaxseed and tobacco.
The development of the Slovakian cuisine and gastronomic habits changed its staple directions throughout history, depending on the different civilizations that had inhabited the land of today’s Slovakia. The position of Slovakia in Central Europe has provided the country and insight and contact with different cultures. As a part from the former Hungarian state, Slovakia was under a great influence of the Romanian culture and the features of the Western European culture were underlined by the colonists, mainly Germanic countries, who inhabited Slovakia from the early Middle Ages to the 20th century.

Many people find our food really heavy or too caloric but it's because it was tied to our history and peoples working hard specially in our mountainous landscape and constant travelling here and there.
As a slovak this is absolutly true.
I also like Langoš :P
Lángos is Hungarian. So is goulash, so is trdelnik. Half your cuisine really
@@Tovalokodonc ja viem gulas je výborny
The pictures are not coresponded with the foods. It's very confusing.
These are foods my great grandmother loved.
I have tried many of those , and I like them
The choice of photos in this video so poor. Its actually so confusing while it could have been made so simple. My mrs is slovak and not slovakian by the way lol.
Pronunciation of the food is catastrophic, that, myself as a Slovak would not understand what is described. But, good try. Visit Slovakia, it is beautiful.
Thanks for making foodie video ❤️
Hope you enjoyed it!
Yes actually I also want to go there bt trying...
As Slovakian this meals are so typical, that my school is eating those every day 😆😆😆
First please get it right to say who’s food you are talking about- it’s Slovak. Usually made into “-ian” from totally other country Slovenia.
Then the pictures don’t match with text at all. And nope haven’t met a single Slovak yet who likes this much sour cream as is said in the vid.
And my favourite wasn’t even shown.
In general I don’t like Slovak dishes, and those dishes I recreate way better than themselves natives (that’s their words not mine haha); and then there’s that halušky that I can’t get enough off.
Slovakian food looks very delicious. I hope i can try it one day
pls do not :/
You should! Im slovakian and out food might not look too good on the first sigh, but when you get used to it, its like an adicction
@@rastislavmichalak8741 thanks for replying, i was interested in Slovakian culture so i said I should take a look of the food too .
It would have been better described by a slovak person, as nothing was said right. lol ...But everything is delicious..
You missed Tatarsky Biftek !!! How come ???
To robotické komentovanie kazí absolútne dojem, zdá sa mi, že to video bolo robené pomocou umelej inteligencie ako automat na zhliadnutia, uráža ma keď si autor ani nevie poriadne naštudovať výslovnosť toho čo prezentuje .... FUJ-HNOJ ale v podtate MA AI pravdu.
fazulova polievka is just bean soup
The auto narrate robot voice was off putting. This looks like a quality video. Why not hire a voice actor to narrate for real? Fiverr has them for like $20. I’ve used them for my films
Kapustnica is pronounced "kapoostnitsa"
Must be a robot. The pronunciations are terrible.
Its all potato, always has been
First, it is not SLovakian food, it is just SLOVAK FOOD! Also a Slovak should do this video. You are seriously mispronouncing many words. It is really irritating.
That mispronunciation is awful sorry
There is no such thing as Slovakian food because there's no such word Slovakian. It's Slovak food. Slovak cities, Slovak mountains, Slovak people but no Slovakian. Stick to Switzerlandian food.
Are you teaching native English speakers they own language? Both are correct, btw.
Slovakian is a word. I looked it up… but then again, I have no idea what I’m talking about because I’m not from Slovakia…so….for what it’s worth, it’s in the dictionary:)
I am Slovakian. Czechoslovakian is also a word.
@@miabryant1002 You are Slovak, there's no such word Slovakian.
@@bobberes7155 bruv are you stupid or what? Bc if there isn't a word "Slovakian" then WHY DID AUTO CORRECT PUT IT THERE HUH?
