Superleggera can pretty much smoke a h2 comparing both bikes' power and weight ratios. More interesting is v4r vs h2 on a straight line. I think v4 will be ahead upto 200 then h2 would catch it. The supercharger help it to accelerate very fast above 200. And on track h2 or h2r whatever u bring it's gonna lose against Base v4 or rsv4 or s1krr. H2r wins in a straight line though any day.
Having multiple Kawi sport bikes and now 8n two Ducati's, hands down I absolutely love the Ducati's looks, sound, technology, fit and feel, not sure I'll go back to something else
I haven’t ridden anything newer than a 2012 R1. I went back to my 07 R1. I love it. That said, the new R1 seat to bars looks more level. But I love my R1. It’s fun to just hammer on it and I enjoy that feeling of needing full concentration. I’m not sure I’d enjoy all the new electronic rider aids of the new R1. The Ducati looks pretty leisurely. Wouldn’t mind taking that for a ride. But it’s always fun to get on an R1 and get your heart pumping.
I had a ‘16 R1, fantastically powerful, and with a better seat, adjustable Gilles rearsets and gel grips…ergos weren’t too bad. But every time that I went out for a ride, it tried its best to kill me. For me, it was too much for the street. Traded it in for a Pani 959…now trading in my 959 for a V2. I’m much happier.
6:04 That swinger's joke had me rolling! Good comparison of both bikes. The R1 seems like it would be an absolute beast to ride, but I think I would personally take the Panigale purely for its beauty. I think it's one of the best looking bikes made, period. Both of them though are certainly dream bike material!
This comes down to how hard do you have to work for speed , how comfortable you are with a bike and how smooth are you with the control of it , like a super car vs hyper car you can’t just hop in and drive it like a econobox, both are over kill for the streets
Firstly I’m biased, I own and daily ride an R1M. Longest ride thus far is 1,258km in a day, so yes, a little longer than 30 minutes. Stop with the aftermarket exhaust fetish, and instead address what you don’t enjoy about the bike. Get some Giles Tooling rearsets and clip ons, these will allow you to customise the ride position to each rider. Anyway, off for a longer than 30 minute ride on my comfortable R1M.
Getting kind of fed up of them overblowing it all. The way they talk about it is like they're riding it in first gear everywhere they go. Yes litre bikes are bonkers, but only when you tell them to be.
Having owned a stock 2007 and slightly modified 2012 R1 and now a 2018 959. I only bought the Ducati because I couldn't find an un abused low mileage R1 that was fair priced. With that said I don't know I'd want it any other way. When I was 20 and 25 the r1 was perfect. Having not ridden in 8 years I think the newer r1 would not have been the best choice. The ducati is rideable, gives the sense of adrenaline I need at 34. I do feel more comfortable cornering the ducati as well.
And you wonder why fewer riders are buying hyper sport bikes. Yes it's fun, but it's terrifying at the same time, riding a bike that could easily kill you if you make a mistake while riding it. At one point in history, manufacturers limited horsepower to 100, and now its at 200+, with no limits in site.
If you're an experienced rider, riding a 200hp bike is no more dangerous than riding a 100hp bike. Dedicated track oriented bikes are only more dangerous to the inexperienced and the idiot squids that will actually open them up on the street.
Assuming it's the same as on the 2020 Streetfighter V4, you can set it to remain in either dark or light mode, or auto transition between both as in the video.
I like how 2 weeks prior the r1 is the gentle road super bike easily to menage like a 390 duke would be. And now it’s a white shark that want o bite you not like the new V2 who’s usable and calm bike. Cant wait to see the next bike and you will tell the paningale is a dangerous bike. You read the press book and you repeat it.
I made a video that had hundreds of people arguing over a simple question. Is the Ducati V2 Streetfighter (same as the penigale V2) considered a Litre bike? Please I would LOVE to know.
We choose to ride YZF-R1 on the streets not because it is easy, but because it is hard, because that machine, will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills.
Cost wise to performance the R1 is great. Performance it might be closer to a base V4. I rode a V2 2020 model recently as a test ride and really just loved everthing about it except one thing. The hips. The hips did not like it. Not sure if over did it or it something to get used to or what. Heat was not too bad. There is a heat mod you can do to knock it down. Suspension was great on it.
I do not understand why everyone says that the R1 is uncomfortable. I have owned many sports bikes. I have a 15 R1, and other than a hard seat the bike is very comfortable. I'm 6"2 so maybe the R1 fits taller riders better with the long stretch to the bars. I also have an 02 R1, 97 TL1000S and 05 ZX-10R track bike.
@@DeCavalcante I'm not sure exactly I have never counted but I've ridden more than 60 bikes of all kinds. With regards to the 15-19 R1, what I do know is that handlebars are generally as low as most superbikes but also a fair bit further away from the rider compared to most superbikes. So perhaps for shorter people with shorter arms, this means you have to stretch, putting more weight on arms/wrist and neck and means you can't move around as much as your position is more fixed as you have to stretch to reach the bars etc. For taller people with long arms the extra distance provides more room and variation in seating position as with longer arms we can move close or further away in seat to find ideal position. Granted the seat is hard, and first week of riding you'll get a numb bum 😂 if you are used to a softer seat but you soon get used to it. Ratio between pegs and seat is not too extreme either so plenty of room for those with long legs. Sure there are more comfortable bikes, but at least for me, at 190cm it's very comfortable. I also own an old XJ600 diversion, with upright bars and my neck and shoulders ache real bad riding that for more than a few hours. PS I do lot of touring on sports bikes, sometimes 1000 or more KM in a day.
In the last 10 years motorcycles have evolved so much. I think that people don’t want 200hp or the best of electronics, they just want something that is going to be current and not completely old tech in 5 years. There’s so much competition between manufacturers today and it’s really pushing the envelope. In 5 years, a production liter bike might have as much power as motogp bikes!
Thanks for the vid guys - how about V2 or R6 - that's what I'm contemplating..... is the Ducati REALLY that hot? I live in SoCAL so 110 degree Summer heat has me worried about the comfort on a V2. Thanks.
I always thought the v2 power specs were closer to gsxr750. I love them all. Gsxr's price, weight, and reliability alone are advantages over the ducati. I think I want the ducati for cruising with my passenger on something pretty and sporty.
If u give the r1 too much throttle, then the algorithm for slide control activates the cornering traction control and you’ll leave a fat black stripe on the ground and in your pants.

It was a bit less snappy then other bikes in the group with 1000cc.
I think the 20v 4 cylinder saved my life at lower speeds.
Took a bit to get her going.
The 5 valves per cylinder was more chunky to get moving
R1: man these guys are scaredy cats.
H2: hahah wait till they get a hold of me.
H2r: lols.
@Meliora plus its much slower on track
Ducati Superleggra V4 : Do they even know I’m here 😂
@@harishFx16 nah it can never catch up to h2
Coz it doesn't need to . I mean its a fuckin moto gp bike 😂😂
@@orionellis7910 blah blah blah.. Blah blaaaahhh!
Whatever you say is bs. Pure non sense
as an amateur audio guy, i really appreciate the symphony/limited metaphor between the two bikes. spot on Yamms

Great content, owner of an 1199S I think I might want to add a v2 to the mix for more fun and less feath
I’m much happier.
the jokes and references are just getting better :) smooth
6:04 That swinger's joke had me rolling! Good comparison of both bikes. The R1 seems like it would be an absolute beast to ride, but I think I would personally take the Panigale purely for its beauty. I think it's one of the best looking bikes made, period. Both of them though are certainly dream bike material!
Panigale for the beauty, comfort and power delivery
@@iehen Agreed!
You guys are fun and objective. Subscribed.
Damn yammie knows the good spots to ride off bee caves
Love Shootouts! Keep them coming papa yam
Yammie Noob making a Yugioh reference, my life is complete. Please, more Yugioh references.
Yamaha quality is all i care about
2020 S1000RR is a all rounder. It's as easy as the Panigale V2 on the streets and is as fast as the R1 on tracks.

The modern liter bikes have so many electronic controls keeping you safe.
Great video guys! Excellent analysis. Please give us more videos like this.
Great info guys. You guys rock.
2:49 The LCD going into dark mode and back looks so annoying
Assuming it's the same as on the 2020 Streetfighter V4, you can set it to remain in either dark or light mode, or auto transition between both as in the video.
I like how 2 weeks prior the r1 is the gentle road super bike easily to menage like a 390 duke would be. And now it’s a white shark that want o bite you not like the new V2 who’s usable and calm bike. Cant wait to see the next bike and you will tell the paningale is a dangerous bike. You read the press book and you repeat it.
You guys are doing a great job selling that V2. What a beautiful bike.
That exodia bit was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a motorcycle video ever
Me rewatching this video 1 year later because I'm itching for supersport content. 🏍️🦈
When are you going to add a 600cc in the HQ?
600 is not a good beginner bike. 1000 top tier is much safer and slower!
I love Ducati. Love the vids man
Never been this quick to watch his videos. I really like his videos like the fun talk. The best advisor👍🏻
I made a video that had hundreds of people arguing over a simple question. Is the Ducati V2 Streetfighter (same as the penigale V2) considered a Litre bike? Please I would LOVE to know.
Dude, the last seconds of the video with the cowboy hat was the best thing about this video! Had to click like just because of that!
I really like your new format bro. Keep it up
This is the video I needed to see…. V2 seems like a great compromise between a sport bike and a sport tourer..
We choose to ride YZF-R1 on the streets not because it is easy, but because it is hard, because that machine, will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills.
Or just because it's fun...
@Bernd DasBrot Why say that. Is putting others down an attempt to compensate for your shortcomings..
This is just the best channel about bikes
When is the rain in Austin gonna stop frickin annoying hurricane cant take my ninja 636 i just bought out tommorrow, hopefully it clears up

Be glad you don’t live further north
Cost wise to performance the R1 is great. Performance it might be closer to a base V4. I rode a V2 2020 model recently as a test ride and really just loved everthing about it except one thing. The hips. The hips did not like it. Not sure if over did it or it something to get used to or what. Heat was not too bad. There is a heat mod you can do to knock it down. Suspension was great on it.
The r1 is like a great white shark circling beneath you ready to rip your arms off leaving you bleeding in the water.
Welll, I want one!
What other bikes have you road? Street fighters are comfortable. That r1 isn't
@@PAPPABIATCH im shorter so it was uncomfortable
Just done 12hrs on my r1m on the roads 350 miles and I was fine
And here i thought dry clutches were the shiii.. and quick affff. The R1 is everything i thought the panigale would be
In the last 10 years motorcycles have evolved so much. I think that people don’t want 200hp or the best of electronics, they just want something that is going to be current and not completely old tech in 5 years. There’s so much competition between manufacturers today and it’s really pushing the envelope. In 5 years, a production liter bike might have as much power as motogp bikes!
Ducati is a masterpiece of art on wheels
Awesome video guys , have been thinking Ducati lately .
Thanks for the vid guys - how about V2 or R6 - that's what I'm contemplating..... is the Ducati REALLY that hot? I live in SoCAL so 110 degree Summer heat has me worried about the comfort on a V2. Thanks.
How does the Panigale v2's ergos compare to a Ninja 400? Is it the same level of relaxed, but slight forward lean?
If you are fortunate enough to own a 1000cc sport bike, dont care to compare it to other bikes, just enjoy it.
I always thought the v2 power specs were closer to gsxr750. I love them all. Gsxr's price, weight, and reliability alone are advantages over the ducati. I think I want the ducati for cruising with my passenger on something pretty and sporty.
They're both obviously the second best starter bike, next to the Turbo BOOSUH. No need to fight about it.
If u give the r1 too much throttle, then the algorithm for slide control activates the cornering traction control and you’ll leave a fat black stripe on the ground and in your pants.
