There is a fine line b/w genius and crazy and Johnathon Winter's was both. Always enjoyed his humor and comedy. One of the greats!
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a new video of Jonathan on Carson that I haven’t seen yet!
Saved this one...!!
Me too..this was 1 ....
I live in Sweden. And somehow I like to watch these old Johnny Carson shows. And Jonathan Winters is awesome!
"You can build a brick wall in front of talent, talent will always shine through."
Jag med kompis!
He is so gifted and talented. You can see it comes natural for him. I always smile 😃 no matter what he dies or says. Thank you. God, for blessing us with all the laughter he gave.
My favorite American comedian. No one comes close. He makes me laugh out loud in bed at midnight.
Mine, too. No one else comes close. I don't remember seeing this one before today.
Great Jonathan Winters. One great comedian 😅😁😆😄
Johnathan is always a delight ... you can tell Johnny has great affection for him ... thank you for the upload ... 🤩👍
Love the Johnny Carson shows , watched for years !! Jonathan Winters was always a great guest !!!
Absolutely ❤️ Johnny Carson and Johnathan Winters ❤😂😅
One of the best! Never saw this episode before. Loved it.
Man I miss those days with Johnny,,,so glad we have them here on youtube to watch, funny Jonathan said he was 62 and I am now too...time flies
Jonathan Winters was just a comedy genius. Simply amazing.
Jonathan Winters is a genius. God Bless him.
You can’t beat that era’s Dad humour and Jonathan was its reigning king. The fact that Robin Williams adored him says it all. 🎭
He's probably one of the most talented comedians ever!
Yes, love these Jonathan Winters updates!
Jonathan was one of the best in terms of being a Carson guest. Thanks for uploading his appearences. keep on uploading them Johnny Carson UA-cam team. We want all of them!
I cannot stop watching this lol
It strikes me that Johnathan Winters and Robin Williams were quite similar in talent and personality. God Bless them both, and let them make each other laugh in heaven.
In a way, and I guess its because their comedy styles are so similar. To me, Robin was much more energetic, and you'd have better chances meeting Robin Williams on a good day in being kind and generous. Winters was probably nice too, but the truth of the matter is his mental health struggle could make him very negative and sulky, and that's not uncommon of people with this. We saw it when he would appear on the Tonight Show, but with no discomfort of the home viewer because it was comedy. Aside from that, he was said to be a very kind man, and loved performing for everyone. It did not have to be a live show and would be happy entertaining just 9 people.
He was, imo, the funniest, wittiest man alive in those days!
I met Winters when I was a teenager. I told him I had a bad childhood.
"Oh? How bad was it?"
"Well, my parents moved a lot, every six months."
"That's not so bad."
"Yes, it was. They never told me where they were going."
I got a laugh out of him. When you can make a pro laugh, you know you got it.
That's a great joke. Did you make that?
Funny!😂
One of my top original favorite Twilight Zone episodes was "A Game of Pool" starring Winters and the great Jack Klugman.
Winters was as excellent a dramatic actor as a comedian.
Miss these guys.
Jonathan Winters was so creative and funny. He had a tough life, but he was, able to overcome.
He kept in there til the end. He didn't end his life or anything. He struggled for sure with his mental illness, and perhaps alcoholism. Through all that hard work where his mental health crashed, look at what he was able to accomplish. At the end, he was able to probably get a house in Hollywood. He also got his paintings in the National Museum of Modern Art. He worked hard but eventually learned the valuable lesson of knowing your limitations. He worked too hard and ended up confined back. He had that work ethic even before fame. Having his first child is what made him take a shot at Hollywood. They needed the money, perhaps more than selling agricultural equipment.
If I could go back to the 50s and 60s, I would leave in a heartbeat.
Was always magic to watch these guys together, Liked how Jonathan included Ed more then most.
Our family always loved Jonathan Winters!!!
Jonathan Winters was absolute genius of a comedian never smutty or using bad language just brilliant comic improve and his friendship with Carson went back to the 50’s.
"Blower into a tree..come right out with some squirrel.."
Now that's quick wit! hahaa
He is definitely special
I used to watch Johnny all the time. Great band also
best TV band ever
Johnny loved Winters that's why he was one of the most frequent guests on Tonight
remember when late night TV was funny, not venomous? I do.
Joy, I am so thankful. Good stuff.
I so miss this era of America.
Same! I’m 59 and my dad watched Johnny every night
Your Democrats claim it was never great.
Why?
Me, too. Life was so great back then. Everyone woke up happy and ready to get on with a splendid day. Now I don’t even want to wake up anymore 😢
@@penguin44ca If you have to ask, then move to a Communist country!
I miss him
For the young people out there, a word processor was basically a home personal computer before the internet.
1953 or 1954! Wow they were buddies...love to see a recreation of that 😂
Funniest man that was in show business
Talking about being in the final quarter of his life but he lived for another 26 years, probably because he quit drinking and smoking. Talented man
Amazing people !
I remember watching this the night it broadcast!
Jonathan is now the funniest man in Heaven.
I see so much of Robin Williams in this skit
absolutely.
He didn't take life too seriously, which is probably how he made it to 87.
Such a great mind funny funny man
I'm rounding third myself in the bottom of the 9thf!
You have a word processor? See , that's modern now..."
Aww man - I miss the easier times
Wonder if he ever saw the show later on , and noticed the plant behind him that looked like a flip wilson wig on him.
Respected editors of this video channel, it would be great if you could upload a full recording of Belinda Carlisle's guest appearance on the show from 1988 where she performed two songs in addition to the interview. One of them is I GET WEAK and the other, if I'm not mistaken, is HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH. I hope you will want to please all of us who love her. Thank you in advance on behalf of myself and Belinda Carlisle fans. 🍺🍺 from Steve.
Post Charles Nelson Reilly
Can you guys give us more Don Rickles and Joan Rivers? 🎉
Totie Fields would be good. Only one episode with her. I think Danny Kaye is the same way, at least with Johnny on at the same time.
❤❤❤
My Aunt Minni Black appeared on the Tonight Show February 18, 1988 season 26 episode 70 we lost our VHS years ago she was on the show with Dudley Moore if you could upload that episode I would be ever so faithful
Figured this channel would’ve paid tribute to bob newhart with a few episodes but I guess not
😊👍👍👍
👍🏻
I forgot about Moon Over Parador. I saw it in the theater. It was meh
I suspect it must have been Richard Dreyfuss' fault.
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Waking up every 14th of each month to $210,000 it's a blessing to I and my family... Big gratitude to Ann Marie strunk🙌🏼
Hello, I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Ann Marie strunk, has been an amazing experience.
Hello how do you make such monthly?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down of myself because of low finance but I still believe in God
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Ann Marie strunk😊

Many Marines I knew are just as funny.
The
Marines will make you crazy : especially if you can stay in them until you earn an honorable discharge.
One funny man...
A true gift to America. Dayton Ohio man turns out to be the funniest man in the world!
