Hey guys, thanks so much for all the kind words! I appreciate ya'll pointing out the goofs I made (I still have no idea why I called it Action Points lol). I'm still getting used to this game review format. Hopefully I'll get better over time 😎
Thanks for the tips tbh my guy watching others fail is kinda a good thing sometimes especially with your style, reminds me of i think some fallout youtuber talking about playing the first 2 games with friends and seeing how far they got.
In case you didn't google it after making this video; The companion limit isn't 2, It's based on your charisma. For every two charisma points you get one companion.
The significance of the crashed vertibird is that its the first vertibird in fallout, your not supposed to know what that is before playing and be shocked that “wait? People are flying helicopters?”
@@kolegiles4291 which is used for absolutely NOTHING in the game. Supposed to be for gecko power plant, but you don't need it for anything. Also, the dumb guy with the brahmin (Tor, or something) may run to this side of the map during the protect the brahmin quest, and you will have to defend him from the robot when you come to tell him you defended the brahmin and finish the quest.
The money issue has been mentioned a few times, but let's clarify it a little. Bottlecaps was the currency in Fallout 1 because the water merchants in the hub put up clean water as a currency backing due to them running a water putifing plant. In Fallout 2 the water merchants have been absorbed by the NCR, and the government have replaced the currency with NCR dollar.
Thank you for saying this. VATS was just a clumsy, unnecessary gimmick to justify the aimed attack in the real-time games by Bethesda. I hate when people call aiming in FO1 or FO2 „VATS“. 🤬
There's a speech check at the beginning, you don't HAVE TO fight the guy at the end of the tutorial. I selected this option by accident thinking he wasn't gonna listen and engage regardless
FO2 is my favorite of the series. I've made a bare knuckled marshal artist that only wore leather armor and could take a shotgun blast to the face to no ill effect (because subdermal armor plating) and that could toss around a professional soldier in power armor like a rag doll till they ran in fear (yeah, it was still really hard to do damage through power armor till the 'ignores armor' or 'instant death critical effect came up'). I've also made a heavy gunner build with a 95% critical rate that could cut down the final boss in one round (because OG sniper was supremely overpowered and thanks to save scumming the scan by the thinly veiled Scientology parody). New Reno was the reason there was gambling limits in New Vegas.
For the citizenship test in VC, you'll need 9 perception 9 intelligence and 9 luck For the companions, if you have a higher charisma you can have more than 2 companions For example: if you have five charisma you can have 2 companions, if you have 7 charisma i don't know how much you can have Yummy
You can also use skills in FO1-2 by hitting the corresponding number key first skill from the top is 1 second 2 etc. Since the more often used ones like lockpick, steal, stealth are among the first 5 numbers, they're easy to hit without looking.
Love the first video, love this other one! Here some tips and tricks, but don't check it you want to keep the surprise Probably you know it already, but if you didn't, don't take Jet. If you do, save before you do it. Jet debuff is almost permanent and is really a pain in the ass. The numbers of companions is delimited by your Carisma. Every 2 point you can have a buddy, so you probably wanna check that and upgrade your Carisma when you find a posible partner. Another thing is with the stats. You can upgrade a +1 special stat. Some are around the map in form of items and "getting a check with BoS". Others like carisma can be increased with a unique item. My clue for this is "is not in reno, but close to it" The car, the chrysalis highawayman, need to be unlocked. Even if you have money, you need a part of the car that is in Klamath. Just check all the place, you can't lost it. Once you have money and the part, you have your usable hotwheels. Another tiny tip, you can upgrade it :D And last one If you have a good repair skill and repair de elevator in toxic mines, or just "look in the pocket the guards who has the guds", you will find A REAL GOODIE. check it for late game, that's a real unique ;)
I dont know who this UA-camr is, but he put tooo much effort into this video. Like the amount of art and planning that went into this, FAR exceeds the average video on this site

Just a couple of facts, when fighting Cameron or whatever his name was you can pickpocket the key he has and easily get out, or you can lock pick the door. The test in Vault City is passable, but is extremely hard and I only passed when a messed around with the special stats when importing a character. Also you get a special perk if you drink the synthesized alcohol 100 times, you also need a luck of 9.

i was actually starting my first playthrough of 2 after doing 1 the day this was posted, and one of my reoccurring thoughts was that 1 was easy if you knew where to go to get good stuff quick, but 2 completely prevents you from doing so because the fights are so brutal, not to mention you dont even get a gun to start the best you get is a pipe rifle upon reaching klamath and raiding Vic's house
This is how it should be in a a proper RPG, which is all about your character progression and development. Contrast that to Fallout 4, where you're immediately given power armour, a mini-gun and take down a Deathclaw. It felt cheap and lacked any sense of novelty or prestige.
About that area in Klamath with Mr Handy there are a few thing here: 1 guy that you can help protect bramins will run here if you chose particular way to do this quest and you will have to save him 2 there is a theory that Enclave brought rat god (Brain's brother, big white rat) in that Vertibird
