only noise I could hear was his mouth talking over what may have been noise.
Ong him talking is more annoying then the noice
@@Sunsetwithlotion change his pads :)
exactly, if he could stop talking for 2 seconds we might be able to hear the sound he is talking about
Lol
Well I actually heard the noise over his talking 😭
the easiest way to tell which side is dragging is to hit brakes and let go of wheel it will yank the car in the direction with the most drag generally speaking it is most common for the front end brakes to go out faster since there is more weight at the front
I have hunted high and low for a solution to this problem. I'm glad this video is up. It has confirmed my doubts.
Did it work for you?!
My car squeaks everytime I break too, this is the best video I've found
I'm in Sydney have a 2004 FORD BA Falcon. When I turned the steering wheel sharp to left/right it made an AWFUL LOUD SQUEAKING/SQUEELING ( eh..hah..eh...hah sound ) from the front end of the vehicle. Everybody walking on the street could hear it. Lots of stares...LOL!
Mechanic greased the control arm. Made a slight improvement. But I ended up replacing it, your could hear the noise in the cabin while driving with the windows up.
This is what I paid (prices will vary according to your vehicle). Runs smooth now. Hopefully this might help someone else.
New R/H Lower Control Arm: $395.00 + (2hrs labour) $198.00
Wheel Alignment :$88.00
2 x Front new discs: $220.00
Set front disc pads $93.50 + (1.5 hrs labour) front brakes) $165.00
2 x Rear new discs: $209.00 + 1 x Set Rear disc pads: $93.50 + (1.5 hrs labour) $165.00
Total: $1627.00 ( inc gst: $147.91) (ex gst: $1479.09) 👩🔧👍
Great info and great instruction for amateur mechanics, thanks
thank u this is exactly the same situation my car is in. so i guess a new brakes is needed
My car started manifesting similar issues a few months back, still driving as I thought it was just the pads (which were brand new). Took it to the dealer and had a rear passenger tyre replaced, same side but the calliper and issue still there (as they had issues). Today will go to a garage and have them diagnose my car and I still suspect its the bearing but sucks after spending over £1k at the dealership to still have the issue and them "saying its probably gone" Too bad we can't hear the noise the car was making so I can compare it with the one mines is.
Thank you so much for this video ! My car has the same problem now I know what’s the problem. Thank you again for sharing your experience! I watch your video from Canada 😁👍
Fuel filter under the back seat 100% !! Did I win the Teddy bear ?? 🧸 Nahhh.. I'm taking the piss !! Whilst braking I will take a Longford Longshot and say it's probably a wheel bearing.. Yeah it was LOL 😆
Hey those folks are driving on the wrong side of the road 😂👍🏻 great video I would have recommended doing both front bearings just me Iam very retentive 😁
Exactly my bolero's problem! Turning left or right, reversing, slowing down. Thanks ton.!
did u fix urs? i have d same issue and sucks cause my mechanics says all is good
4:18 whoa! Is that a lift that has an extra lift on top of it!?? Thats the coolest thing ever.
Yeah, state inspectors at MOT use that kind of a lift. Also some mechanics have them. They help alot. Some lifts that are designed for a wheel alignment also have the same feature.
Could be the disbreaks in the front they sometimes grind make it funny noise on turns so far
A road test to diagnose and check your work? Wow where is your workshop??? I want a mechanic like you.
Thanks Jeff
I have a Kia optima lx.. I have this noise that sounds like metal on metal, but the weird thing it only starts when I cold start the car in the morning. Through out the day, I can hardly notice it but I can hear it when I slightly turn left or right.. I took it to midas and they said it could stearing wheel pump.. but I only hear it to the left front and not the right where the pump is located.. could it be road debri? Also the caliper was replaced and brake pads look good from what the mechanic said.. what is your thoughts on this?
Woow 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 i think you should rename your video something to mention breaking issues in the title aswell. I think i may have just found my problem. Need to jack the car up tomorrow and inspect closer. Thanks
Scary! You're driving on the wrong side of the road, and I'm expecting a head-on collision at any moment.
Then, I realized you must be in the UK or Australia. 🙂
Fr bro it feels weird asf watching them drive on the other lane 😂
@@Xccord it's very weird to experience as a driver. I drove for 3 weeks in Australia and it made driving fun again!
just guessing by his accent/dialect, I am thinking Welsh or Scot
Looks like Brisbane or somewhere in Queensland.
Anyone else watch this video and the only thing they can think of is the old vine “are them helium balloons, ah hell we’re flying away”
I found the problem! The steering wheel's on the wrong side. Haha.
Took my car to the dealer and he changed the brakes. Now my car makes a squeeking nose from the front left wheel, but only when I'm turning right. My guess is that the brake pad is put on slightly off?
Wow literally the same with my car but it makes the noise when turing both left and right and also breaking.
Did you ever get this fixed?
Fantastic job, new subscriber from England.
Thanks very much. I am happy you decided to subscribe 🙏👍
Gerard Burke has h
Great stuff Gerard, no rust or muck there :):)
Rust is very limited Pat but we are beside the sea so there is a little bit here and there. As for muck you should see some 4x4's and what they bring in 🤦
But overall much easier to get items open and off the vehicle.
Well now, I’ve done all the tests and I know exactly what the problem is. I should take it back to the workshop to repair this, but to be honest I’m totally lost !! 🤣🤣
Is it the wheel bearing that you replaced? Did you have to do a 4-wheel alignment the replacement? Is it necessary?
When I turn right,at 20-25 km/h without touching the brake pedal, I get a high pitch squealing. What is the problem?
You can leave the tire on if it rocks right to left it could just be a tiny bit of play in the steering. If it rocks all around its almost always the bearing
Silly question but would it sound a little like a train/ grinding? When braking, thanks
My car is doing that, did you figure out what your issue was?
@@damnjosh6706 same let me know
I don't know much, I'm still learning about cars. But I saw in another video that the grinding or squeaking when breaking could mean you need new break pads. Some breaks start making noise to indicate that's is pretty worn down and its time to replace them. Eventually it's just metal scraping against metal. I would look this question up and search for other videos on it, that way you can see it and compare it to your car.
That’s definitely brake pads
I have a 2004 Vue. my son just replaced the caliper on the driver side Sunday. last night three out of five left turns I heard a screech sound. what could it be and is it dangerous to drive?
Thank you
I have the noise when I’m only turning both ways, what u reckon mate?
Having this issue right after changing the bearins on both front wheels. Will take it back to the mechanics so they can fix whatever they did wrong. Annoying af, thx for the video.
Bye the way Gerard, nice tutorial !! Greetings from The Big Blaa.. That has to be the most obvious County Roscommon accent I have ever heard. So I guessed it was the bearing, was I right about Boyle, Roscommon because you sound like the actor Chris O'Dowd 👍😁
Glazed brakes... The materials of the brakes have been heated & have hardened... Likely the rotors are compromised. Fine grain sand brake pads or change as well as change your rotors.
Awesomeness
Thank you
Can you tell me if temperature and time, affects a successful fishing day?
Thank you so much my car is doing that too so I'm going to look into it
Having the same symptom, took my car to the mechanics but been said everything is fine, they cant diagnose the issues. Wondering if the wearing out wheel bearing has to necessarily make louder noise corresponding to the higher speed?
Yep my car load squeaks when I turn left and the left wheel feels loose. You can hear the calipers hitting dust plate occasionally
I suspect the same issue. I never heard the bearing whining but I think its same issue.
I got very same problem... Accelerating 1st gear, breaking, turning left and right its so bad noise.. i hope its just only bearing not cv shaft..
Sorted good job.
Cheers Ian 👍
So I know a little about cars and mine sounds like bad brakes in a way so I replaced them but it's sounds like a catching or rubbing noise when I turn or hit the brakes buy I do have a bad lower ball joint would you have a suggestion on what it is?
Question, I only have a grinding noise when turning left and applying the brake. There is no play on anything when the car is up in the air, No grease leaking. I've checked pads they have even wear and lots of life. There is slight grooves on the front rotor where the noise is coming from. I recently had a new tire put on that front drivers side to. any advice would be appreciated
Same
Me too. No Idea
You just most likely answered your own question..why does rotor have grooves?
My moms car had the same issue, So I took it to the shop put it up and took the caliper off to find out that it was one of the inside clips that was rubbing on the rotor
Your left axel needs to be replaced
Does worn brake discs make friction feeling when turning ?
Stop talking we dont hear nothing when your turning the wheel or braking
for fucking real
What is the indication for replacing the wheel hub and not just the bearings? I got my bearings replaced, the noise is mostly gone, only some subtle wob wob noise when turning right.
I need to know
Interested to your channel bro.thanks for your videos, full support here
The lip if my rim hit a curb
Now there a light grinding noise when turning .
What could this be everything by looking at that side with the wheel off looks fine .
Wheel looks like it has hit curb going by face edge damage. That impact probably shorten life of wheel bearing.
haha yup i can hear it im sure sure the noise is coming from you talking. haha
nice job
I have the same noises but no loose wheel on load or jacked up. There is play in my sway bar. I am thinking sway bar bushes any thoughts?
THANKS....THIS HELPED A LOT!!
I have a 2021 Ford ranger and it started making this rattling noise from the front suspension, felt like it was right under my feet, it would make it at all times EXCEPT while accelerating. It’s under warranty so I booked an appointment with Ford 5 days from now. Yesterday while changing my oil I found the source of the noise. There is a plastic and rubber dust cover over the ram on the strut. The top plastic part was cracked and somehow rattling all about. I dicked with it….spun it around and shoved it up and down and it hasn’t made the noise since. Very very minor issue but it’s still going in to get a new dust cover…….hope that may have helped someone.
wheel hub/bearing?? usually they hum when the weight shifts or your turning the steering wheel
I just gave my car for it’s 1 service with just 1000km driven. Prior to the service there was no sound.
But post I received it there are huge squeaking/cracklings noise on braking , releasing brake slowly on a stopped car, turning steering right and left in a standing position, reversing etc.
Please suggest what could be the cause.
That what happened to my car when did you do what was it
I have the same problem but I just got the wheel bearing put in the front and brakes are still good. Any opinions what mine could be
Mine does the same after new pads / rotors. Only thing i can imagine is the caliper . Rotors and pads push the piston completely open so basically the brakes are rubbing a little
why did u grind the other part of the bearing off the hub if u had a new one?
Honda civic the big engine mounting also got problem and sound. You need to use authentic original part and not the OEM part.
glad that i found my solution.....i think
I got a 4X4 Jeep Grand Cherokee . When I take a sharp turn to the left or right my rear tires or something in the back makes that weird sound . Does anyone know what it can be ?
What if you hear a squeak while braking which is typical for brembos not heated up. But also when turning right, but not left?
Jcw
Looks like Queensland somewhere?
How much does a job like this cost 🤔
My rear wheel seal is leaking. 2000 jeep wj.
I didn't really hear much, but always hearing some kinda noise, im hearing a clunking noise, when braking from the front, the pads and rotors are new,& the suspension in front, is about 6 months old, or so, but what u think?
Did you get it fixed? Body mounts/motor mounts?
my was the sway bar links
If the problem is when you turn why keep driving straight took too long
Please help me find the problem to my truck..Hyndai H100,
After I changed the brake pads but still noise coming from the front tyres and goes off while I am applying the brake and pops up again while accelerating or driving..
Thanks for your time and I hope you can figure out the cause of the noise..
Is it possible for the wheel bearing to only make grinding noise when on load and not make noise when in air?
That’s what I wanna know. My car when I lift the wheel up has no whine or play but when driving there is a helicopter noise
I hear a loud scraping noise when I turn right, what can that be?
Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi !!!
Replaced it, also replaced rotors, brake pads and cv axel on both front sides but still get a sound when turning and feels like car will stop, it is a 2015 ford explorer.
I got everything new wheel hub bearing both side
New suspension completely and now just came out three shop spend over 1.5k on new suspensions set plus labor and when I turn the wheel all the way from and braking it’s makes two clank clank sounds ?
And one more question why when I drive pass
55 mph my car shakes ? New tires they balances and wheel alignment new rotors new breaks too ? I need help ASAP
Had shake on my car, bad rotors
Bad axel
We got an oil change and the car shook so bad afterwards we turned right back around and they just forgot to reconnect a small hose
Check strut upper mount thats culprit..people spend thousands and then they found its upper strut mount..when u turn right or left hear poping noise or clunking noise..reason bearing in upper strut mount is gone bad and it stuck when u turn and it also push shock spring from its location slight cause poping or clunking noise when u turn.
I need to check my truck this weekend. It's been making a pad scratching sound while turning left.
What Country RU in? I noticed all the traffic is Left Hand Drive.
Australia Jason
My brand new car Nissan qasqhai 2021 600 miles on clock been making rattling noise when turning car at low speeds ! I am confused
Was wondering what that noise was on my Chrysler 200s
I initially thought it was a cv joint problem but then it could be a wheel bearing?
Whats the mileage on the car?
From memory around 100k - I will double check on that though.
If a cv joint is worn normally there is a knocking soundwhen you have it on full lock left or right and when it gets bad it knockes when in a straight line
It happens only when braking like a wheki wheki wheki sound front passenger
I get tok sound when braking in a slow speed or take up. What could be issue
Inner and outer cv joints.
I'm having the same noise in my 2015 jeep grand cherokee and nobody can seen to diagnose it. I tell the dealers but they seem to say you need new brake pads and resurface the rotors
Same with me dodge charger
My dealers said the same thing. I paid them $200 to fix the noise and it still happens
What country is this driving on left side
Awesome vid
So my wheel hub is causing this holy cow my surface for that assembly with the backing plate is corroding anymore tho I rock a 2005 wk1
is that an area rug on the dash...
What is it when you turn your wheel and you car slightly lift up
sound coming only while slow breaking not all time but most of the time. what might be the reason?
My 2006 trailblazer makes a squealing sound when turning on a curve or somethin
My car steering is not straight, it’s bit on left hand side, is it dangerous to drive
What if I did all this. Wheel bearing n hubs. Also ball joints and end links. Axles also and BC coilovers.. mounts also done. and still get clunk n pop. Feel it down to my floor by feet.
Same. Did you find the solution?
I was driving about 45mph and hit a curve on the driver’s side and basically broke both left and right of the piece in your video. They told me that particular same piece in your I’ll need both sides and they replaced them and fixed it but now when I drive about 30mph+ when I slightly turn to the left there’s a noise on the passenger seat side front tire and it sounds like it’s metal touching another piece of metal and it only happened when going 30mph+
Did u get it fixed
LOOK OUT!!!!! You're driving on the wrong side of the road!!!
Lol
🤣🤣🤣
This doesn’t need to be 10 mins long
You’re driving on wrong side. 😂
No he isn't. Did you not see the parked cars on the road going the same direction. Pay attention.
Front wheel hub bearing...One of the two. Should change both...
What is exactly the name of the part thats defective?
Hi, my wife’s vW polo makes a slight biting type noise only when I brake and turn right. It’s just a quick tap noise and that’s it. If I’m driving straight and brake there is nothing but as soon as I turn right while on the brakes it does it, any idea? Sounds to me like it’s coming from the left front
How much does something like this cost to get replaced?
So was it the bearing?
So what would happen if you didn't bother fixing it?
It gets noisier and wears out quicker and eventually seizes up on the side of the highway, leaving you walking home.
Kobek is exactly right happened to me so I can verify.
