Old Timer here, Matt. This Video is just about one of the most amazing things I have seen. The planning, the Team Work, the array of equipment etc. all blended to come together to complete a very tough job. Much more difficult than that Chevy truck on the side of the hill many years ago., No horse play, just attention to the difficult task of Cleaning up Nature. I am truly impressed with your Professionalism. You have a great team of dedicated and talented people. Great to see Colt as part of it, but of course, Jayme steals the Show.. My hat is off to the whole MORR Crew. I hope to make it out that way Soon., Stay Safe in your Work!! MWP Cosby, Tn
You have seriously upgraded! I remember when you only had a lifted XJ cruising the mountains. Im seriously impressed. I even thought "there's no way this channel can be a success" Ill eat those words. Congratulations
As someone with more than sixty years in the recovery industry, I've been involved in really difficult recovery situations. I must that you and your team did an excellent job on what was an extremely challenging recovery.
Colt, you're a real trooper for coming along on that recovery. You are always chipper and a pleasant addition to a recovery or any other "event". Someone has to come along to keep those other guys straight!! LOL
Thanks Matt!!! You do great job!! My husband fell 50 feet and he watched your show as he recovered we really didn’t think he would live. So again Thank You!!!!!
The symphony of winch pulling was impressive. Also, having the right crew, supplies, and trust clearly shows throughout the entire team and your ringer, Colt.
Actually, considering the extremely limited duty cycle of those electric winches, he pretty much needed to have all four of them alternating in their pulls so that he wasn't there all day.
30:44 this is such a nice shot. It shows a summary of what this channel is all about. Off road recoveries, team work, adventures and some mad engineering!
Even though video 9 mo old….such a great video and extremely extensive difficult recovery made Successfully. Thank you Colt, and all the Matt Off Rode Recovery team!!!!
This is probably the most impressive recovery Ive watched on your channel. I am a structural engineer, and the sheer amount of stable pulling power the heavy wrecker has is impressive and showcased in this video.
It wasn't technically all that difficult but they made it look so easy and that's what was impressive. A lot of people could have done it but not in 2.5 hours!
@@marvindebot3264 a couple years ago they pulled a car up a snowy embankment with the morrvair and banana. It was on snow rather then rock and brush, it was a shorter pull, and the embankment wasn't as steep. They struggled and it took them forever. The wrecker made this quick, flawless, and looked very stable in the video. Also as they said in the video, no other tow service would even try to pull it out. That indicates it must be a tougher recovery then it looks in the video if the insurance company is using a company 8+ hours away.
My family and I were at the four corners whenever you guys were there (That's us leaving at 38:29). I searched up your channel and have been watching for the past two weeks, and I'll like to say that I love these videos. They're super entertaining and interesting. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much to so many camera angles, and the crew being safe and enjoying the adventure, many many thanks for all of the amazing recoveries over the years. I don’t comment on every video I view but every video I do view I hit like button. 👍🏼💯. Because they are all amazing.
Just gotta say, excellent shot coverage and editing are what makes Matt’s stand out from the crowd of other recovery channels. Keep up the good work, behind-the-camera team!
30:44 Also, a lot of people don’t realize but when you shoot from a drone there is generally no audio so when you see a drone shot and hear winching and rocks tumbling that is either because they have a remote microphone recording separately or they have spliced in audio from another camera. 🙌🏻
I realized the thing that keeps bringing me back to this channel isn’t the off-road content which is great but also Matt’s leadership skills with his team, he does a very good job!
... and in addition to Management skills, He knows how to use them, constantly tapping into those around him. Navy Ships worked like this when the waves got the size of mountains. God is out there with these jokers too.
It says a ton about MORR when there is no one else to do this job Another thing I would like to say is that it's nice to see so many positive comments, hard work DESERVES recognition
This was one amazing recovery with every obstacle that could have been thrown at this team and they came through from winching the Toyota up that massive incline to moving the winching vehicles into the different positions needed for getting the truck out. Love this video with Jaymie, Jefe, Rhett, Kaulin, and the rest of Matt's team. Thanks to Colby for assisting in this recovery! What great shots of the beautiful scenery! The drone footage was awesome! Now this crew have seen the 4 corners.
Huge bit of advice for your trail jack. Just put a piece of tire or a 2x8 bolted to the bottom but the combo with an old cut of tire rubber on the bottom will make that jack work soooo much better it will blow your mind.
In theory that would work great in your driveway, Also, it's too bad they don't already make a rubberized foot for these, Oh wait... But maybe the real issue is the situation where a truck is sitting and being supported by winch lines on unstable ground, maybe just slide the jack into the door jam... well would ya look at that... mind blown.
@@KirbyLouis I know right, I don't even drive a toyota and always wondered why they do this, that's the first thing I'd do out of the box, not drive it off a cliff.
My family used to own a recovery/towing service. As a kid, I lamented the long hours spent on the road, but I as an adult, I look back and realize I cherished the time I spent with my dad. We saw some of the most beautiful country in the western United States. I have a head full of scenery, but can't remember any of the names. It drives me nuts, as I wish I go back and revisit these places.
I am from Costa Rica and I enjoy the rescues and the places, you have a beautifull country with magical places. Good work and thanks for the videos and places
Yeah, some other channels might have made it a load of shouting and breaking gear, but that "drama" is just annoying; much more interesting to watch people enjoying the challenge and getting the job done.
It all starts with the great leadership the Matt provides. You can see how everyone respects him and listens to him and that translates to everyone else
When you were building THE wrecker, I often thought 'why is he using such thick material for everything?'. THIS was why. It's an outstanding piece of kit, Matt. Well done.
i stopped at four corners in 1982 on my Goldwing on my way to California and none of those structures were there that I remember. I bought several items from the Indian jewelry makers which I still have
Last time I was in New Mexico I took a wrong turn in Albuquerque and ended up in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Words cannot express how terrifying seeing "Las Vegas next 3 exits" was while I was on my way to Texas.
So long as you don't find yourself with your lawyer, careening down the freeway in a convertible, while preparing a journalistic story for an off-road race in the desert, you shouldn't need to fear a thing!! 🎉
That was a seriously impressive job Matt. Not because you got it done, a lot of people would have got it done (eventually) but because you made it look so easy because it went so smoothly. Nice work.
Well Done!!! I watched Colt's Bleepin Jeep version and I envisioned using the wrecker as a Yarder like the loggers use to pull logs. One of the wrecker's boom winch lines is lowered, along with the first rigger, and secured to the tow vehicle. Once that line is secured and tightened, it can be used as a Skyline. Then the tires, jack, and other equipment can be hung on that line with soft shackles to snatch blocks or snatch rings. The descent can be controlled by attaching the second boom winch line to the snatch ring and lowering it down. You could attach a tree strap or short rope to the load to assist the load down with one of the riggers controlling the descent.
The Camera Work and Editing are EXCELLENT on this recovery. Very technical, very safe recovery there is no doubt about that, but the camera work really was impressive, and showed how difficult this recovery actually was, even though you guys made it look easy.
I grew up in this kind of country and going down to the truck was dangerous for the person holding the camera. They should have a couple chest mounted cameras so there's footage they can use to fill in while they get to a safer place. Walking that kind of rock won't kill you but it's compound fractures in a box. Leg on the fall and arm if you get a chance to catch yourself. I think Matt's operation takes safety seriously. So all of this is pointing out where they could improve.
Forty minutes just flew by...that was an awesome recovery. I remember watching this channel in the early days when Matt was having a crisis of confidence, not knowing if he should keep doing the YT videos because he thought that what he was doing wasn't quite up to snuff, and here he is nearly four years later closing in on 1.7 MILLION SUBS and making it look so easy. Congratulations and STAY SAFE out there.
Greetings from Oklahoma. I was at Four Corners many years ago before all the building were there. Seems there was just an obelisk at the very center of the four states. I remember buying a Dallas Cowboys silver and turquoise belt buckle from one of the vendors. I still have it. Great recovery job from the whole crew.
My dad's family are original Spanish colonist from 1598 so its really nice to see you in beautiful New Mexico, that was the best recovery I have seen since the recovery of the Golden Nugget up in the Sierra Nevada in my home state of California. I really hope that your family enjoyed everything about New Mexico and please tell me you enjoyed some authentic New Mexico food.!
NM-Mexican style food is great. Many are done with their range of chilies so adds to the flavor. Sopaipillas with honey or powered sugar are a special treat of the region.
I honestly appreciate Tom’s genuine thoughtfulness to the job. A truck that appears to be junk has thousands of dollars in salvage value. Good man for not stretching the threads on the axles for no reason. Your a good man✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸.
Ya, great crew right there. I used to do recoveries of all sizes here in the Rockies in Canada at YOHO, Kicking horse canyon and Roger’s Pass so I know a little about this activity and watching Matt and team is awesome, Matt knows his stuff
True. It's always good to prevent any more destruction in the pursuit of providing value to a customer. Sucks because the insurance company probably won't make use of that.
Just discovered your channel. I LOVE it, you are funny, polite, interesting and obviously very knowledgable. You use physics, geometry and muscle to accomplish unthinkable problems as a family and friends. Thank You!!
It probably makes the job a little more exciting to travel such a distance to a place where you're not recovering vehicles from once a week. Good to see Colt joining in for the day.
AWESOME Matt yall were in my backyard. I have always very impressed and enjoyed watching the crew work together, but I have more respect and admiration learning that Matt lived and grew up on the Navajo Nation. Even knowing a bit of Navajo "Mosi" creek. So glad you were able to grab some Blake's before ya headed out.
I’m less than hour north from where U we’re at , I now the exact location where this recovery was at and that is an extremely steep mountain side ! Good job to you all and glad you’re all home safely!
That mountainside is the kind terrain that, if I encounter it on a hike, I realize I need to turn around or find a better route. One slip and the best case is you're going to have some road rash, worst case you'll end up dead.
Great work, and thank you for driving so far (you passed within 2 miles of my house between Santa Fe and Espanola) to get what was left of this truck off our public land here in northern NM. As I commented on Colt's channel, the location and condition of the truck are unfortunate indicators of the theft and vandalism problems we have around here, most often fueled by drug abuse.
I spent spring break 1984 in Farmington with a classmate from Adams State college. We were on the cross country team so it was a blast running in that area.
Stealing those wheels and tires was so much work, I bet the thieves would have made more money working for minimum wage! I guess some folks just love stealing, like it's a hobby.
Wow, not too bad you guys and gals. I’ve done some recoveries back when I was in the army with a HEMTT pulling a deuce and a half and also a Huey helicopter in a ditch lol. But you guys did good on that crazy slope. Good job.
I would say this is your best recovery yet. Extremely technical, but you had the right equipment and the right technique and it came out smoothly despite the precarious position. Great coordination across the team, too!
That was not an impossible recovery. There was plenty of room for a 50 ton rotator on that road. You guys are buying into a BS narrative. It's not that No one else could do it. It's that no one else wanted to do it. An insurance company somewhere knew that Matt would do it cheaper to get the views.
I don't know if it was intentional, but that was a nice bit of editing @31:52 cutting from Kaulin saying he was freezing, straight to Matt in his shirt sleaves.
That was a brilliant recovery and so perfectly co-ordinated. I breathed a sigh of relief when you all got back home, safe and sound. Well done to all involved. From Victoria, Australia.
And of course falling to the ground is HUGELY preferable to a heavy cable with a ragged end whipping, snapping around hard, as it tries to resume the coiled shape it was in on the spool. A steel cable, snapping, can kill you! The synthetic cables are soooo much safer!
That poor Tacoma didn't have a straight piece of metal on it. That was a class act rescue under some very challenging conditions. Great job by the MORR team!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome recovery ! Rotators make short work of those jobs, and I’m not afraid to run them down a dirt road and I have 3 of them and I like making UA-cam videos and theres no snow here and I like to party
The team Matt put together in their rolls of responsibility was inspiring. I don’t like running a team, but I know I’m called and I’m good at it. Seeing Matt run the show with confidence & security means theirs hope for me. 👍🏼
Great recovery MORR team and Colts team too. The four corners monument is cool, but the highlight was the hat trade Tom made with the gal from Matt's home town as a kid. Great video.
That crazy, somebody stole the tires and push the car down hill, but because of the situation of down hill, and the unstable ground, or the presence of a lot of small loose rocks, On the ground, it only need hand push to push down because the gravity is strong down hill.
Nice, I've been watching your channel for a while now and you're from NM too! Always cool to see my beautiful home state and a successful recovery! It's inspiring me to get out and explore more of the wilderness.
@11:40 It's so cool to see Matt get excited and to feel pride in what he's built and what he's doing. Yeah Matt, you deserve those good feelings man. You're a beast, you have an amazing team, you've built amazing machines and a mini empire. You deserve to feel proud!

This recovery was 500 feet higher in elevation than the highest mountain in Australia. Mount Kosciuszko however would be a LOT colder with a lot more snow midwinter.
Matt's new motto, " The impossible we do at once, miracles take a little longer". Looks like Jaymie saved the day, what would the team do without her.. A brilliant job, and no one died.

"Four Corners" Matt and His Crew always put a smile on our faces. Thank you! Safe travels and keep the rubber side down. Kindly, Dennis and The Crew
There's always someone that can get things out of tough places. Matt and his crew just proved it on this job. A great job well done!
Legend has it the Toyota started right up
"Hello Tripple A? I need a tire change."
… along with the A/C turning on ❄️
"Oh yeah- that'll buff right out."
this is literally that one hilux (or tacoma idk) ad where it falls off a cliff and then starts right up lmao
And is still wondering the streets of Albuquerque looking for its original wheels and tires.
It was so cool watching that truck coming up the mountain. WOW, you guys did a good job!!
Wow! Another awesome job and the wrecker has fully proven it's worth! Your crew is amazing and is a great example of how a team can work together!
I've worked with colt in a past life in Wyoming and he is one of the coolest down to earth guys ever! Super cool to see him on here!
I am surprised Matt lived on the Navajo Reservation in Ganado, Arizona. I grew up near Kayenta, over an hour drive from Ganado..👍
I’m less than hour north from where U we’re at , I now the exact location where this recovery was at and that is an extremely steep mountain side !
Good job to you all and glad you’re all home safely!
Cool. We used to go up 31 mile road and roll boulders down the hillside.
That mountainside is the kind terrain that, if I encounter it on a hike, I realize I need to turn around or find a better route. One slip and the best case is you're going to have some road rash, worst case you'll end up dead.
Somebody was serious about stealing parts if they slid down there and then climbed back out with the tires and speakers
Did you get the rims? 😂
@@HulaViking Yeah. It seems to me they worked harder stealing them than they would have earning the money to buy them honestly.
Did the driver live through that crash?
I spent spring break 1984 in Farmington with a classmate from Adams State college. We were on the cross country team so it was a blast running in that area.
Stealing those wheels and tires was so much work, I bet the thieves would have made more money working for minimum wage! I guess some folks just love stealing, like it's a hobby.
FACT i drive for Madrid Towing in Albuquerque and the amount of theft recoveries i do is unreal...
Wow, not too bad you guys and gals. I’ve done some recoveries back when I was in the army with a HEMTT pulling a deuce and a half and also a Huey helicopter in a ditch lol. But you guys did good on that crazy slope. Good job.
Very cool to see something made that no other opted to do. Pretty amazing joining of forces in one family and a small company (with a little help)
I was trying to figure out why I had already seen this. Colt did it on his channel. Worth watching twice, good job guys
Matt and crew, thanks for giving props to the NN. I'm a Ganado Alumni, you all rock! Nizhoni!
I would say this is your best recovery yet. Extremely technical, but you had the right equipment and the right technique and it came out smoothly despite the precarious position. Great coordination across the team, too!
Mat and his MORR team are masters of the impossible recoveries. His vision for the wrecker created a beast which has no equal.
That was not an impossible recovery. There was plenty of room for a 50 ton rotator on that road. You guys are buying into a BS narrative. It's not that No one else could do it. It's that no one else wanted to do it. An insurance company somewhere knew that Matt would do it cheaper to get the views.
That was incredible and compelling viewing. I felt bad for that poor truck for all it went through. I was rooting for it getting out by the end!
It's still going to end up on Craigslist for a premium price. "No low ballers, I know what I got here."
Ended up looking a bit better at least. 😅
@@TheFredmac One used Toyota Tacoma (taco) truck. 4WD. This baby has seen near vertical drops. Light body damage from rocks offroading. New tires and rims. Make this rare find yours. Cash only. I'm getting out of off roading. Make my loss your gain.
@@TheFredmac Premium prices are only paid by fools...
Right, we're talking about people who buy toyotas. @@BitBuhkit
I live in Albuquerque, not surprised the wheels were taken, even a trashed Toyota in the middle of nowhere halfway down a mountain is a gold mine in these parts. I'll see yalls at the offroad games!
It is amazing seeing how nothing is underestimated in this recovery. Well, done @Matt's Off Road Recovery.
Impressionnant, Matt est un incroyable chef d'orchestre, bravo à toute l'équipe !
Great recovery MORR team and Colts team too. The four corners monument is cool, but the highlight was the hat trade Tom made with the gal from Matt's home town as a kid.
Great video.
I've been to 4 corners. Used to live in Northern AZ, close to where Merlin is located. Great job. Thanks, guys.
I love the teamwork your group demonstrates especially the debrief where lessons are learned and saved for the next challange.
Most impressive part was Rhett packing down that hi lift jack! What a stud!
Congratulations Matt and entire crew, you have better and better with each mountain recovery, this video is great, from Texas 🤠👍
New Mexico native here. The real wild west is Ruidoso and Capitan
This is why I became a regular watcher. I love it all but extreme recoveries is what got me hooked.
Tom asking for a torque wrench at 14:45 is hilarious.
Request denied 🤣👍
Second choice should have been a claw hammer
The noise he makes when he realizes he isn't going to get one 😅😅
Tom is a moron nuclear degree and all
Bet the driver was Snowwhite too
That crazy, somebody stole the tires and push the car down hill, but because of the situation of down hill, and the unstable ground, or the presence of a lot of small loose rocks, On the ground, it only need hand push to push down because the gravity is strong down hill.
Awesome seeing the non-bleeping side of this and the engineering involved. I feel like there should be a MORR crane now - call it Morrtal (More Tall)
Such an incredibly competent crew - with friendship and love for each other. Way to go!!! It's always a pleasure to watch your content.
That was one of the most awesomest off road recoveries I have ever seen! MAJOR kudos on a job well done that NOone else would take!
I've been following you since 2020, I'm from Southern New Mexico and you've never been to New Mexico. Welcome to the Land of Enchantment!
You guys are amazing with all the camera angles. The drone shots really put these jobs in perspective. what a team effort.
I agree, he is pretty amazing
I like how he uses old fashion vehicle bodies and make them into offloading kings
“Now we can do some sightseeing before we leave!”
Matt- “Look out there!”
😂😂😂
😂 I totally LOL on that part too! Matt's humor can be really subtle and dry. I think it's so funny when I catch it.
Typical long time husband comeback lol.
Your Team reminded me of one of America's greatest achievements, you have gone where no man has before ------ rescuing totalled trucks.. Well done team boss, leading your team into a job made it easier looking. Great stuff.
This recovery was 500 feet higher in elevation than the highest mountain in Australia. Mount Kosciuszko however would be a LOT colder with a lot more snow midwinter.
Low mountains for NM ,very low for Colorsdo.
Yup, we are incredibly flat for a country the same size (slightly larger but not by much) as the lower 48@@georgesheffield1580
Colt comes off as a genuine beautiful human. I already watched this on his channel, but happy to watch it again from a different perspective!
This video makes it about 9 I have watched, every day I start out watching at least 1 and its not getting old at all, good work !!!!!!!!!!!!
Matt's new motto, " The impossible we do at once, miracles take a little longer". Looks like Jaymie saved the day, what would the team do without her.. A brilliant job, and no one died.
I think the USN Seabees trademarked that phrase during WW2, but MORR has ridiculous skills.
Good one! Everything that makes a MORR episode great. Including Jamie, the brains, and the beauty of the whole operation.
I didn't see a claw hammer.
@@eternaloptimist2840 again, everything that makes an episode great.
We are from the Upper Pennisula of Michigan, if you don't know much about that area....its lots of guys like your crew only with lots of snow . We are wintering in Hurricane because we love the area & people here. We LOVE your videos!
The UP is the best place for wheeling IMO
Great team work. Better than any reality show where everyone's is in a false argument. Love the drone work both for the scenery and the ability to capture what's happening.
The lack of absurd fake deadlines is also refreshing. Remarkably wholesome content
25:20 😂😂😂 bleeping Matt as Mr Roger’s 😂😂😂😂 gold pure gold
Absolutely the coolest recovery rig I have ever seen. I really enjoy watching the adventures. Keep 'em coming. I am sure you guys have your tribulations, but what a great life. Be safe.
You guys made a super difficult recovery look pretty straightforward. Not easy but you pulled it off with no surprises. Well done. Take the rest of the day off.
Shoutout to Jaimee, she finally wore the correct footwear to a recovery, no sandals!!!! Atta girl!
And yet she almost fell off the cliff…. Coincidence? 🤔
@@jeremyspecce She didn't fall, she was pushed! 🤣
Me too
My Names Henry, thnx for having me along today! that looked like one heck of a pull! Im over in Nambe by Espanola.Good job and God bless, Beautiful trucks. Be careful ou there take care!
The drive to NM, lowering 4 tires, putting them on the vehicle, connecting multiple lines. Impressive & skillful. Excellent work on a most difficult challenge. Thanks for the video.
I can't believe how far you came for this recovery. Awesome teamwork! Great content. Lots of one-liners kept it light! Be safe out there.❤
I want to know what they got paid. And they earned every penny.
Great recovery. The drone video is worthy of an award. No way would I go on that rock slide waiting to happen.
Great recovery guys.....great guess Jamie !!.... cam work and drone shots awesome....everyone did excellent job pulling as one team....smoooooth work peeps !!
EPIC! Well done MORR team!!! Watched the recovery breathlessly. Greetings from Sarajevo-Bosnia !
Felicitaciones Mata y a todo el equipo. Excelente trabajo. 👏👏👏👏. saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
And now I'll never know what Colt wears for running shoes. As a shoe guy, it's a bummer way to start Friday. Great video per usual!
They were HOKA's😉👍
