I have an 8 year old daughter who is obsessed! So far she hasn't seemed to interested in learning guitar. She loves the misheard lyrics and the humor more than the playing, but my husband and brother both play and would love to share their knowledge with her! I'm hoping she will take it further than her older sisters did because of Steve's influence!

Apocalyptica changed their song “I Don’t Care” because the singer hated it. This song was iconic and one of their top hits. Fans, including me, were outraged at the change because now it sounds worse. I really want to see a video on this and a comparison on the two versions.

It's unfortunate that Stand Up was so mediocre, especially since Ego Trip had songs like Killing Time and Kill the Noise on it. But hey, you and your incredibly talented friends totally fixed it and more. You guys absolutely blew it out of the water with that revamp. Great job!
Papa Roach made it exactly how they wanted to make it. If they wanted to go harder they could have, but not every single song needs to feel the same. That's what this guy doesn't understand. Literally any song can be made to go hard, but Roach was going for a different vibe. This guy's just upset it wasn't done how he wanted it done. If he's such a genius, let's see him get where Jacoby is.

This for me was a prime example and a good lesson in how we sometimes get programmed on music. I was listening to the original papa Roach track and thinking "ok I don't get it, the track sounds ok to me". Then I heard your revised edition and I was truly at that ahhhhh, now I totally understand. The new version is totally a legit track and sounds fantastic.

@@maxwellvanbommel9303 Yeah man, unfortunately it is. It's made in China, one of the biggest complaints is that the electronics don't even work straight out of the box. When they do, they stop working after a few weeks and their customer support does nothing about it, not even advice on a fix. Another issue is it can't be played sitting down without it slipping off your leg, so even then you have to buy the specific strap which seems like a sneaky sales tactic. The scale lengths are all messed up too so even the people who took them to professional Luthiers for a legit setup had no luck having the fret buzz that occurs when you play past the 12th fret eliminated. Way too many red flags for me, and I'm not just talking about China lol

Unfortunately I agree to your assessment... I loved Papa Roach growing up, but so many formerly legit rock artists this last decade+ are going to this hip pop/dance and rap regime and selling out. It's sounds awful... They're just conforming to what's in now and not being true to not just rock music, but to themselves as well. I miss when rock music stations actually had overdriven guitars and vocals without auto tune...

Papa Roach's recent output has been relatively solid and I saw them live not too long ago, they put on an absolute banger of a show. Lets hope this song was a one-off fluke for them and not the new normal. Papa Roach definitely still have it in them to make great music and deliver great shows. Also that version of yours if flawless, literally what the song should've been like, you could put it on their recent albums and it wouldn't sound out of place.

Only thing stopping this version from being in regular rotation (other than copyright issues, lol) is StevieT's over the top solo. We know you can shred with the best of them, but give that solo an 80's hair metal feel, and this song is damn near perfect.
