Bro… it really doesn’t matter if light sticks look like hearts from far away. Is it the same up close? No. I’m not even a Riize fan, but this shit is tiring

We actually only talked about the heart chaped light, when you switch on the light stick and look at it from the stage. I mean, it's a heart, the most common thing to express their love, right? look at seventeen's schedule last year. I mean they had the biggest year ever and their company didn't let them step outside of Asia. In an interview, Dino said his hyungs have big dreams like going to Grammy etc so I thought okay they might have plans to promote but Pledis really said ok let's not do that. Also no ads on their recent comeback with no premier is making my blood boil.

I'm not even a fan of both groups, but Tokkis or Kpop stans in general, are too funny about this if they think this is a big deal. Fans are allowed to get mad if they don’t get what they have paid for but at the same time, like you said leaving a fandom for something like this sounds very childish. That’s why I never pay for anything like this as I’m still in college and don’t want to waste my parents money on things like this. I usually enjoy and support artists in other free ways.

That women is busy leader and a hardworking and dedicated women when it comes to her group. Maybe that’s why she isn’t online because she’s constantly working on new things/ projects for her group. But I hope the fans who paid for subscription will get a reply or at least an explanation from Soyeon herself to why she isn’t active in that platform.
Edit: There were many groups under CUBE who were successful at some point but because of CUBE’S mismanagement and mistreatment of their groups/ idols some have disbanded, some artist left, there are still some active groups but they aren’t as successful or popular as Gi-dle.

I feel like MHJ's constant barrage of examples of 'original' ideas that other groups have stolen doesn't illustrate anything besides how vague her acclaimed original ideas are and how easily duplicated they are.
Just reframe that the company of the idol who popularized the 🫰said "THAT'S OUR PERSONAL BRAND. NONE OF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO COPY US!" And started announcing every idol who used it and how much it was a copy of their original idea.
I think New Jeans have paved a new path that people are leaning into, like all trends. I think they have a right to be proud of their image and their brand that they have created and fine tuned. However, if that's the point MHJ wants to make, there are better ways than calling out anything, even remotely similar to the group as plagiarism.

Because of the way music works, with there only being so many notes, and pop music tending to use certain chords and time signatures more often than not, it's only natural that melodies will naturally occur in different pieces of music.
It doesn't mean it's plagiarism.
In this case, the two songs have very similar melodies, but fit into different genres.
I think the case against the song "Blurred Lines" set a dangerous precedent. If people were to start copyrighting a melody, or a chord progression, for example, there is only a finite number of these things essentially a songwriter could "claim" something as "theirs" and then anyone who used it before could claim it, and it would repeat and nobody would be able to use it without giving credit and royalties.
A lot of these cases are incredibly vague. "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry had a similar sounding but not identical series of just a handful of notes to an underground Christian rap record. Initially she lost the case but it was overturned on appeal. That one was particularly bad, because it was a song so obscure that the writers of "Dark Horse" almost certainly hadn't heard it, it was only a couple of notes and they weren't even the same exact notes, and they had a similar vibe.
Olivia Rodrigo had to give credits and share royalties for more than one song, after she'd mentioned that she was inspired by the artists. People pointed out similarities between her song "Brutal" and an Elvis Costello song, but he said that he didn't have a problem with it, and that's how music works. He's right. Things like melodies will repeat naturally. People who make music are going to be inspired by other artists and their influences may be recognisable, but that doesn't make it plagiarism.
TL;DR: people are way too quick to claim plagiarism these days. Patterns in music occur naturally, including things like melodies, and chord progressions. This isn't plagiarism. As there is only so many notes in music, there is a finite number of combinations of notes.
Thank you! If Tom Petty and Pete Townshed can acknowledge that there are only so many chords in music, particularly in the same pop-like genre that most of these songs fall in, then a bunch of us musically illiterate kpop fans can too. There are cases of straight rip-offs and stealing out there, but we focus on this? So toxic.

Most popular songs are in 4/4. There are four chords that are frequently used in pop music, to the point there's parody songs pointing out the similarities.
"Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift had the same melody as "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. I think she even gave a songwriting credit for it, even though I don't believe she was asked.
"Somebody To Love" by Lewis Capaldi has the same melody as that numa numa song. I don't believe he gave credit for that, and I don't think he should have. They might have the same melody but they're too very different songs.
It's the same in this case. The ILLIT song and the example have a very similar melody, for one part of the song. That's the only similarity.
People are way to quick to call plagiarism when it doesn't even make sense, I feel like, unfortunately, in a lot of cases people just want to jump on a hate train. @@it.comes.around

I wish people would understand this hate train Lesserafim is receiving is not only forced, but dangerous. This is 100% affecting the members mental health, probably Sakura most of all considering I’ve seen the most hate towards her.
I wish the kpop community would act how it talks, how often must we have the conversation of insane hate towards a specific idol or group being straight up bullying. I am convinced some kpop stans stay waiting for their next victim to throw their hate and rage at, without thinking of what it means.
I am amazed that a group being lack luster singers has received THIS much hate. Ive been in kpop for like 12 years, there has been, are, and will be a lot of singers as mid as lesserafim. Untrained, singing songs that do not fit them, and hiding under lipsyncing and autotune. I have always been aware of what kpop is and what it offers, great singing is often not one. Performances, stage presence, visuals, dancing, and fan service is what i think of when I think of kpop, not singing.
Its obvious people hate lesserafim for reasons other than their terrible singing, and are just using it as their excuse to bully them. Isn't Seventeen pretty huge in Asia? Selling 1 million albums has become normal for popular Kpop groups nowadays (because of the growth of Kpop in general, the competitive mindset of the fans and the photocard culture). So selling 5 million when you're basically (correct me if I'm wrong) the biggest active Kpop boyband at the moment doesn't seem weird to me.
I love IVE so much but i felt this way about the After Like choreo, but Heya choreo is once again a series of poses. Not fun dances to learn or do. All their title tracks suffer from this to a degree.

Basically, the idol sends messages and it's sent to all the fans who subscribe. On the fans ends we only see the idols messages. It basically looks like we're texting them. The fan can send the idol a message.
However, on the idols end they can see all the messages from all the fans. I'd compare it to a comment section. All the messages from fans are mixed into one place for the idol.
There's a your name feature. So the idol can put goodnight (y/n) and then it will fill it in with your name so it would be "Goodnight Angelina."
They're not actually addressing you, it's just a feature that fills in your name. Everyone gets the y/n message.
The idols can respond to individual messages and the person who sent that message will see it. The other people will only see the idols response.

Seventeen has definitely been called out for a while now for having their albums thrown out on the streets. I wouldn't be surprised if the company was doing that thing where they say the albums have been sold but really they're still in stock so the group does 40 fans sign events to get them out of stock. It is important to note that Seventeen and other groups sold over 3 Million albums is because of the photocard inclusions. You won't see them super high on a lot of charts or selling out stadiums because their fans are buying the albums in bulk for the inclusions. Some websites limit the amount that counts on charts so in the US you cannot buy more than like 4 versions of an album so fans who buy like 20 for the photocards won't count towards sales in the US but will on the circle chart. I am sure we all realized that selling albums is a lot easier now due to the photocard scheme companies are doing. Making 52 photocards but only being able to get 4 in one album is ridiculous. Taylor Swift's fans are not mass buying her albums in bulk for the inclusions and throwing them out they're buying all the versions to collect them the same as BTS fans. That's why they sell a lot and can sell out huge stadiums they actually have that huge of a fanbase. Also, the sales of Chinese mass buying has actually gone down so Seventeen is selling 5 Million mainly in Japan and South Korea where they host most of their events. Also, this does not mean that Seventeen does not have a sizable fandom it just means that their sales numbers are inflated due to the numerous album versions that fans can buy making them appear on a bigger popularity scale than they are. This is why people analyze more than just physical sales to determine an artist's popularity.
