My question is: How much influence does the product or service being offered by the brand have on how the tone of voice is developed/established?
Glad you enjoyed it! It's more about creating that human-like connection, so of course you start with the product or service and then you focus on your target audience in order to develop a personality that they would be attracted to. For example: Harley is about macho, freedom-seeking individuals so their products look tough and so is their personality and voice.
How would you relate to a family scenario being a pharmacy? In terms of copy which kind of approach its better? Need to be serious but at the same time avoid to be boring
Your voice would probably be more caring, helpful and epathetic. Your personality is caregiver.
