Tuna Fishing On A Cruise Ship ( Star Clipper - Costa Rica)

How to catch Tuna ( Bonito) from the back of a tall ship. Yep it is possible with the right technique. Managed to catch quite a few on a recent Costa Rico winter trip. All fish were released as you are allowed to fish but not allowed to keep. During Covid, the crew got sick from catching contaminated fish in Shi Lanka so the captain said no more fish on board. Which is understandable. They were 40 days at sea and no one got Covid.

( We did the Costa Rico coast voyage. I would have done a Marlin trip at Queeos but didn't have the time) It's hot 92-95F in March so pick a boat with a cover or you will fry. inshore trips $1500 offshore start at $2000( 4-6 people sharing) Its on my honey-do list. Cheers
