Bruh ok first things first some nations rely on fish to survive not every country can get meat or other foods that easy so they also rely on trade to but that can also include fish ok imagine if you have 100 people on a island and theres only 1 fishing rod now if 1 person catch a fish every hour they will have around 12-14 cause they need rest to so that feeds 12-14 people which eat that fish that day then they fish again and another 12-14 eat but all the rest are starving amd some will eventually die leaving a lower population of that island
